You Wanted Feedback
July 1, 2023

This site has a section in their Forums page about site feedback. So, you want feedback do you - check this out...

A good place to start might be with the owner of the site, a Mr. A. Reid. Simply put, this guy is a money grabbing sleazeball who trousers 377,000 pounds a year from suckers like us. And what do we get? A hopelessly out of date site, utterly pathetic moderation from overzealous idiots who couldn't run a crèche, and a place that's infested with all kinds of perverts, thieves, and god knows what else. This guy has been taking us all for a ride for years. Proud to be 'made in Britain' and trusted since 2010. Really? Give us a break will ya. The business model is simple. If anyone's got money - let 'em join.

Then you get the panty sniffers, HPW's and dumbass wankers who want to chat incessantly about their wives. Why for fu*k sake? Bugger off to fabswingers if you're so enamoured with this subject. Why do you think all the Wife Chat threads disappear? It's because IT IS NOT ALLOWED on fabguys, and also because of other site users like me report every single thread to the mods and admin. The entire site is over-run by dressers with big gobs who look a right bloo-y mess, and are OBVIOUSLY protected by the mods and admin. Slag off one of these freaks and you're guaranteed a ban.

A few of our noticeable users out there...

Celebjuice

What a sad little hump you are. Obsessing over some tarty bint on daytime TV who wouldn't even look at you twice. You're a melancholy wank*r who in all probability isn't getting bugger all at home from the Mrs - and that's if you ever did in the first place. 11 threads of this puerile old cobblers - how many are enough?

Granger

How many more $#*! threads are you gonna hoist up? You're a pathetic old hump who can't make its mind up what he want. Threads about the wife, Twinks, dominant men, being wank*d on, being fingered and stripped naked by a clothed male - all total bollocks that barely anyone has responded to. What does that tell you? You're a tw@t. That's what.

Fred Bloggs

The forums new gob on a stick, with an opinion about everything on every thread. All you are is another loud-mouthed tw@t who thinks he's the centre of attention. Got news for you buster. You're not. Everything you hoist up is utter bollocks with about as much interest as a badly put together power-point presentation. What a fu*kin' yawn you are.

Load for your mouth

Another wife obsessed twerp who's getting the square root of $#*! all at home from his well past it Mrs. Don't think he's ever posted anything 'man on man' and probably couldn't if his life depended on it.

Banned because of a technical glitch with their forums at their end.
March 4, 2023

UPDATE: 04.03.23:

It's been over 48 hours now, still disabled, still no reply from admins or owners. Haven't done anything wrong. Given the experience I'm having, it wouldn't surprise me if the other reviews were spot on about people upgrading and then getting banned, it's full on theft.

ORIGINAL: 02.03.23:

I know people's first instinct will be to say 'well you must have broken the rules somehow,' but I assure those people that I absolutely haven't. This is absolutely a glitch, and one that shouldn't be possible in 2023!

I was a member for just over one month. I managed to get two verifications and I posted on the forums twice, both within the posting rules. One post was just the word 'agreed' to a statement that False Widow spiders should be burned and the second was just explaining how the thirty day timers work with winks.

I've been a bit under the weather so I hadn't been online for a few days prior to yesterday.

I logged on in the afternoon of 2 March 2023 and had a message from a friend that I've been meeting for about four years. I replied, apologising that I hadn't been online for days because I'd been unwell. He received, read and replied to the message asking if I was better.

Before I had a chance to reply to him I was composing a post on the forums, only my third.

Without realising, my phone had auto corrected a tag from [quote] to [Quote] on a previous post I was directly replying to. The post itself was just some random chat about TV shows, nothing controversial or rule breaking.

I hit the post button and received an error message that the post was composed in an invalid format and that all tags, such as the '[quote]' tag, have the be in the same case, in this context, lower case, so [quote] not [Quote]. It told me to hit back and to correct the format and to try again.

I edited it back to [quote] and hit post. It wouldn't post - blank. I tried to comment on another thread, same blank screen when I pressed post.

I clicked the upgrade button [the fastest way to see if your account is disabled] to see a message that they're not accepting upgrades right now, i.e. From me, because their system has automatically banned me.

My entire account, not just my forum access, but my entire profile - including my verifications - was disabled the instant I tried to submit a post on the forums with the incorrect format, using '[Quote]' rather than '[quote].'

I sent a contact form using the 'I think a mod made a mistake' option and copied and pasted it into a second form to the 'owners.'

I explained that it was clearly a glitch with the website as I was banned the second I got the format error message. I asked them to restore my account as I had not broken the rules, in fact I had not even been online to be able to break the rules up until the point of that post. How do you break the rules and get a ban if you haven't been online all week?

It's been about 30 hours and I'm still banned and no reply at all to my contact form submissions. I didn't receive any messages on or off site about any ban.

Thank goodness I hadn't upgraded.

I will update my review if I get reinstated in a reasonable timescale but, reading over other people's reviews, I don't think I'll be getting a reply even though it's their mistake and I've done nothing wrong. I get the impression it's easier to just ignore website faults and the people they impact and so they turn a blind eye.

I'd expect this from a website in 1997 but not 2023. Very poor and clearly in need of some upgrading and modernising.

In the meantime, can you unsuspend me please?

Tip for consumers:

Winchester Consultancy Ltd, 4 Old Park Lane, London, W1K 1QW.

This company owns Fabguys and Fabswingers. If they steal from you (taking upgrade fees and then disabling you for no reason), send a complaint here by recorded delivery. If they don't reply, file Small Claims.

I use the sites due to a lack of alternatives, but they're both awful!
December 28, 2022

I use the sites only due to a lack of alternatives and they're awful!
I started by using the Cottaging and Dogging sites back in 2007, before moving to Fabguys and Fabswingers, all owned and operated by Winchester Consultancy Ltd.

The sites have not changed much in the almost fifteen years that I've used them. There is no development and the owners, admins and mods all actively ignore suggestions for site improvements. Thousands of people have asked for proper regional forums for well over a decade, all ignored. Thousands of people have asked for watersports to be added to Fabguys as an interest for well over a decade, all ignored. Yet the latter is an interest on Fabswingers, they're both sex sites and they're both owned by the same company. The site claims to be 'for gay men' but doesn't embrace gay interests at all, but then puts things like watersports -which is very popular with men of all sexualities - exclusively on Fabswingers. A picture of a woman urinating on Fabswingers is fine, but the same picture of a man doing it on Fabguys would be rejected because it is classed as something that would 'put you off your dinner,' though that doesn't apply to Fabswingers apparently.

A number of moderators or admins (whatever you want to call them) are drunk on their power, especially on Fabswingers. You can see plenty of examples on the forums. Their favourite trick is when people plead for help they close the thread telling said person to contact the owners directly using the contact form, knowing full well that they do not respond, ever.

I have had a number of terrible experiences on the websites and to this day, nothing has been done about them. Last night I was messaged on Fabswingers by a guy asking to buy drugs. I can't report him unless I pay a subscription, and I'm not prepared to pay one because there's no development of the websites. I've met guys on Fabswingers, but we can't verify each other because none of us are verified - a stupid system - so whilst we're all genuine and have met up multiple times, we can't verify each other, so most of the site features (such as reporting the many prostitutes and drug addicts using it) are not accessible unless I upload a pic (no thank you) or pay (double no thank you).

The three biggest things I can think of from the last fifteen or so years are:

1) When I was younger, less experienced and naive, I arranged a meet with a guy and went to the address he gave me. He didn't meet me at the door as agreed. I messaged him and he told me I wasn't there. I checked and definitely had the right address. He insisted I wasn't there. Clearly a nut job, I left. By the time I got back to the car I had another message saying 'I have pics of what you look like and what car you drive, all I need now is your name.' Despite being out since I was sixteen, it still caused me a lot of anxiety as it came across in a threatening manner, or like he was going to try and blackmail me. I reported him to the admins and they did absolutely nothing at all - he's still using the site today. I reported it to the police and was told that they could not take the case further as they did not have a data sharing agreement in place with the website owner's and had no power to compel them to release user data. I gave the police the address listed on the website for Winchester Consultancy Ltd., but they maintained they could not investigate further due to data sharing issues. This is why I always park a street or two away when I meet someone now. All of the messaging was on site, so they had all the evidence they needed and did nothing. User safety is not a concern to the owners.

2) A guy with fifteen or so verifications messaged me asking me how long it would take me to get to his house. I checked the Sat Nav and it said 35 minutes, which I told him. We discussed the meet and he agreed to everything and told me to set off. I confirmed I couldn't text until I'd parked up and he told me to leave, so I did. I made it there in 19 minutes rather than the estimated 35, parked on the next street over, refreshed my GPS and messaged him to say I'd arrived. He replied 'too slow, got someone else over now' yet I was 16 minutes early. Admins did absolutely nothing at all and he continued to use the site unrestricted, despite wasting my time and fuel. Again all of the messages were available but they never wanted to see them, they just put a two way block in place and let him continue to use the site. This happens a LOT on there, even with guys that have multiple verifications.

3) A woman messaged me on Fabswingers with a load of homophobic abuse, accusing me of being a home wrecker and giving her partner an unspecified STI/STD. To my knowledge I'd only met two men within the three months prior to her message and my last all clear from the sexual health clinic. I've never had an STI/STD in the 22 years I've been active. Still, I had to take her message seriously. Neither of the guys I'd met had mentioned a partner and neither lived in the town that she had listed, though one lived in the neighbouring town and I figured they could maybe live apart. I didn't reply to her because her message was full of homophobic abuse. I simply reported her. It was Easter, so I couldn't get into the sexual health clinic. For about ten days my anxiety was through the roof both because of the thought of having an STI/STD and this threatening/abusive message. As per usual the admins did nothing and I had to leave the sites, losing my upgrades. My tests came back negative and she's still on the site today with the same account, still unverified, still unrestricted. Same data sharing issue from the police. The police confirmed it was a hate crime due to the nature of what was said but they couldn't take it further due to the site having no data sharing agreement in place with the police. I naively thought the police could force them to give them the data they required for a criminal investigation, especially given the site owners have their London office listed on their sites, but apparently it requires consent from the owners and a direct means of contact (apparently an address isn't sufficient). They have to enroll or some other nonsense.

In addition to these issues, the forums are an absolute joke. The amount of false information, conspiracy theories, abuse and trolling is unparalleled. I used to play World of Warcraft. It's renowned for having extremely toxic forums, some of the worst on the internet. Well Fabguys and Fabswingers beats WoW on that front. As a kind of social media site, though sex sites in essence, the owners and admins have a responsibility to curb the spread of misinformation, which they fail to do spectacularly, especially on topics like Covid-19, HIV/AIDS, vaccinations, transgenderism, bareback, anything controversial really. This is very dangerous for sex sites, which should be promoting the education of their users regarding sexual health and different communities. Instead, anyone who likes bareback automatically has HIV and is subjected to a load of ignorant 1980s rhetoric and abuse.

Fabguys has been completely taken over by hairy panty wearers, cross dressers and transvestites. This is fine, each to their own, but maybe change the name from Fab'GUYS' and, whilst you're at it, remove the website tag that states that it's a site 'for gay men.' Most of the forum talk is about women, female partners or female clothing. As a gay man who only likes masculine men, I'm in a minority on Fabguys and the site no longer represents me, my interests and the wording and branding of the site is wholly confused and misleading. The website, ironically, no longer has an identity and seems to be confused as to its own reason for existing.

I couldn't include these extra bits on Trustpilot due to character limitations.

I'm in the UK but using a VPN and fake name because if the admins from Fabguys and Fabswingers connect this review with my profiles, despite being 100% true, they'll ban me for speaking out against them just out of spite alone. Their admins and mods can be extremely childish and spiteful. They'd rather ban someone over a genuine and justified grievance then ban someone who slanders people in status updates, or regularly asks to buy drugs.

Fabguys and Fabswingers are unique in that, unlike every other sex site, they actually publish the details of their parent/owning company along with the London office address on the websites themselves. If you have a genuine grievance and you are on sound legal ground, I recommend writing to them at the address they list for Winchester Consultancy Ltd., verified on Companies House and, if needed, sue them if you're out of pocket because of their mistakes or failings. It's time they stopped messing their paying customers about and, at the end of the day, we are paying customers (well, I'm not, and never again will be after the Easter incident).

I have a love/hate relationship with the sites. Whilst 90% of 'people' on there are time wasters, there are some genuine people. I use the sites because the likes of Grindr are now just as bad and there's literally no viable alternatives these days. It's either become abstinent, or accept the 90/10 time waster/genuine ratio and lack of owner/admin/mod support. I have needs, so I don't really have a choice. I don't want to give up sex, so I have to wade knee deep in toxic filth to find a decent guy.

Whilst they clearly state that they don't even give paying customers one to one support - it is an essential service that they ought to offer as the site is full of minors, drug users, escorts and prostitutes. They claim they 'do this for fun' but their accounts are public at the Companies House website and they're not exactly strapped for cash.

Since I posted this review I've had another message about drugs and another message asking me to pay money for taxis and to send a random stranger £20 for food at 3:30am in the morning.

A lot of illegal stuff goes on using these sites and they don't police it at all, because they say they don't have the manpower. Maybe if their admins spent less time having power trips on the forums and more time looking at status updates, the site would be less toxic. They wait until someone complains before they take any action - if any - even if what you've reported is clearly illegal. For example, they don't monitor status updates at all.

A few years ago I politely turned down a guy because he was camp and I'm only into masculine, hairy, mature men (45+). The bitter queen posted a status update naming me as a 'nonse.' This sort of thing is extremely dangerous and damaging - the type of thing where people will put your windows through before asking any questions. Status updates clear after 48 hours automatically. This abuse and slander still hadn't been taken down by the time the 48 hours hit and I reported it as soon as I saw it from my block list...which wasn't long after I said I wasn't interested. The user wasn't banned and after a few months of never getting verified, seemingly left the site of his own volition and not thanks to the glorious admins. Another example would be the guy in my area who keeps creating profiles with almost identical usernames and posting status updates about incest and stealing his mother's or sister's knickers. I get it's difficult to act if people use VPNs but for God's sake his hometown is usually in his username, I'm sure they could pass something...anything to the police. This guy, to give them some credit, does seem to get banned - or if not he regularly deletes his own profiles - but he just signs back up again with almost identical usernames, the same age, same pics etc. I mean he even photo verifies...can't they pass that to the police?!

There's another toxic queen with about 400 verifications from in excess of 350 different men. I wouldn't meet him based on that fact alone, and I don't find him attractive at all in any way. He's 45 minutes away, which is further than the 30 minute range I am prepared to travel for a meet, so I wouldn't have met him even if all of this wasn't the case. Whenever he's messaged me over the years, rather than be brutally honest, I've been ultra polite and said 'I'm sorry but you're too far away,' biting my tongue whilst thinking 'you're vile and toxic,' at which point, despite being nearly sixty, he throws a tantrum that even a 5 year old would struggle to pull off and becomes abusive. Multiple members have complained about him and I've reported him multiple times over the years myself, yet he's still able to post status updates. He cannot handle rejection, even if you mask it as a distance issue, he'll still throw a load of verbal abuse your way for having the audacity to say no to him. He expects you to travel 45 minutes each way for a quick BJ and if you dare say no, you'll regret the day you were born because nobody says no to him and gets away with it. Nearly every other day he has an aggressive status update on display because someone has declined the privilege of being with him. He's toxic but because he's a complete slut and contributes a lot to the site in terms of sex and engaging with other guys in his area, and because he's a long term paying member, the rules don't apply to him and he can be as vile as he likes to as many people as he likes. To give him some credit there'd probably be 350-400 fewer members on the site if it wasn't for him, but then he's likely driven immeasurable numbers from the site with his poisonous tongue and sense of entitlement.

As other people have stated, there's no age verification system in effect, so you have no idea whether or not the person you're talking to is legal. This is why I've never used the cam rooms, or uploaded x-rated pics. Anyone could be watching. A lot of the 'couples' on Fabswingers are single men using old photos and I know this because a lot of them message me for sex and when I ask if they're in an open relationship or doing this independently, they always reply 'we split up ages ago.'

The sites suffer from another major security flaw, one that I've raised multiple times and which they've deliberately and consciously ignored.

Take the Easter incident for example. You might assume that in that scenario you can block the user and move on? Wrong. People who add you to their block list can see your username (even if you change it), whether you're online or not AND your current status update, despite being blocked themselves. That's some privacy there!

You might think that you can perform a simple username change and be rid of them? Wrong. Even if the admins place a two way invisibility wall between your two profiles, if you change your username (which only paid members can do), if the other person has kept your messages in their inbox, when you change your username it will update in THEIR inbox showing the 'from' field as your new username, meaning that they can simply create a new profile to get around the block, use the username search and go directly to your profile to continue harassing you - this is tested and confirmed using a second account. The username change was instantly reflected in the mailbox of my second, blocked and reported dummy account. Why on Earth would you make a system whereby blocked and reported people can see your new username after a username change, your online status and status updates?! How do you get away from harassment other than leaving the sites - in some cases a person's only link to the LGBTQIA community?! At least if this was blocked they'd have to put in a bit more effort to try and find your profile manually with some research and effort.

For this reason and being ignored by admins, I had to delete my profiles at Easter, fearing for my safety, losing my paid upgrades in the process. I then had to wait a few weeks, sign back up again with slightly different ages and heights and preemptively block my harasser to stop her from finding my new profile and continuing the harassment because admins never banned her despite a full on hate crime. She's still on the site at the time of writing this, with the exact same profile she used to send me homophobic abuse and trolling me about fabricated STI/STDs.

The owners care not one bit for security or safety.

I had a guy on Fabguys telling me he was clean and categorically HIV-. At the same time, unbeknown to him, he was also messaging me at the same time on Grindr, where his age was 6 years higher, telling me that he was HIV+U. Whilst I don't discriminate, I don't like being lied to or misled and hate to think that someone would lie about their sexual health status to ensure they got you in bed. If they'd lie about their age or status what else would they lie about? That's a bit like rape in my view. He was trying to mislead me and to deny me the right to making an informed decision. He was trying to lie to get me to sleep with him. Again he was reported, screen grabs were offered showing that he was lying about his age and sexual health status and yet again nothing at all was done.

During the height of Covid-19, they did very little to deter their platform for being used to violate lockdowns. They posted that it wasn't allowed, disabled a few features and then sat by and did nothing whilst people used work arounds to frequently break the law. I can at least say proudly that I managed to suffer the abstinence for the required time (plus additional thanks to the anxiety). The gay and bisexual community got a lot of stick for spreading HIV in the developed world, then the media did the same thing with Monkeypox and the gay community. I can guarantee you that a lot of cases of Covid-19 were passed about by Fabguys and Fabswingers members who put getting their end away above public safety. Again, status updates looking for sex during lockdowns were not proactively removed and were only deleted if reported by other members, at which point the person would just post a new status update a different day, because they never warned or banned them. I kept a little (actually, disappointingly rather long) list of people who put getting off above the law and public health. None of them were banned after reporting them, but I wanted a record of people to avoid in future if I left the site and came back.

Their favourite trick is to pretend that they're taking action by being deliberately vague. Their admins are fond of pasting the part from the FAQs about looking into every single report but not having time to respond personally, but in reality all they do is slap a two way invisibility screen between your two profiles so that you can't seem then offending further. It's very easy to verify that they've taken no action. Just change your IP address, create a new profile and search for the person you reported for trying to meet during lockdown, or selling sex etc., and you'll often find that they're still active on the site and still have access to features like status updates, that they'd previously abused. The admins would say 'well they'll have been given a warning' but we all know that's bull. Why would you give someone a warning for trying to sell cocaine or sex? You wouldn't, you'd ban them on the first offense because it's not just against the site rules but the law.

I have a massive portfolio of screen grabs of various incidents. A normal person would probably leave the sites and never go back, but there are very few ways for gay men to meet for sex these days. Grindr, Squirt, they're all the same. Fitlads and Gaydar collapsed under the weight of their own toxic spills and nothing new has popped up to fill the vacuum. Unfortunately you need to either become a nun, or take the immeasurable crap on these sites - which they expect you to be grateful for. If I could switch off my sex drive and leave, I would, but I can't, so I don't. I certainly won't ever upgrade my accounts again though, unless there's an ownership change and a purge of the power pissed mods and admins. Again, they expect you to be grateful because they're volunteers, but they do a dreadful job and are often petty, vindictive and toxic, with no human oversight from the actual site owners Winchester Consultancy Ltd., who are seemingly blind to everything.

FabguysOfficial, the forum mod on Fabguys is a compulsive liar. I have screen grabs of an interesting conversation I had with them after the Easter incident, whereby they lied about various site features that are clearly detailed on other parts of the site (and which I was familiar with from experience). For example I kept getting told that it was ten days before you could post a meet listing as per the site rules, which actually state that it's 72 hours and which I know from experience to be true. In actual fact my profile had been restricted for questioning them and, as I was about to find out, I was about to be banned for repeatedly challenging why they wouldn't transfer my upgrades to my new profiles as claimed in the terms and conditions, or provide a refund, basically stealing the money. When asked politely why I was being given conflicting information, including that they didn't have the ability to look at bans, I was banned, simply for asking questions that challenged them and somehow offended their ego, about five minutes after asking how the sites can be, according to FabguysOfficial, completely separate when they're both owned by the same company.

Tip for consumers:

If you genuinely have issues with the websites, have no luck with the admins and are legally on solid ground and in the right, write to the owners at Winchester Consultancy Ltd., the address for which is published on both Fabguys and Fabswingers.

No support whatsoever.
July 25, 2021

Fabguys and Fabswingers are terrible websites run by absentee owners who do not respond to feature or support requests. They ignore feedback from their customers and have done so since launch over a decade ago.

For example, literally hundreds and hundreds of people have created hundreds of threads across many years, asking for watersports to be added to the list of activities on Fabguys.

Now, someone who doesn't know the sites might incorrectly assume that this is too 'extreme' to add to the website. However watersports has been an activity in the list you can choose from on the sister site Fabswingers for many years.

It's a very simple feature to add to Fabguys and already exists on Fabswingers. Are gay men not allowed to be into watersports, is it only allowed for straight and bi men and women or hetero couples? Hundreds, if not thousands of people have asked, for many years, for the same feature on Fabguys. Why discriminate? The same issue exists with requests for proper regional forums, a sauna review section similar to the club review section on Fabswingers and other topics.

Fabguys and Fabswingers are stuck in the 70s and think that transvestites are the same as transgender people and at sign up they are clumped together as a single gender choice (TV/TS). Customers can select male or female but, if you want it to be known that you identify as TS, be prepared to be clumped together with people of the other sex in search results etc. Neither one of those options is a gender. How is a man who dresses as a woman as a lifestyle the same as a woman who has had surgery and hormone therapy to become a man? Why would both be clumped together? Fab needs to get into the 21st century.

I would be very interested to read some legal theories or potential class action suits as this is a form of discrimination in my opinion.

I've been a member on and off since before these sites were launched a decade ago, when the owners still ran the now defunct Cottaging and Dogging sites, since about 2008.

I've been a good, loyal customer and never really asked for anything. I've been a paid member for most of that time.

Generally, I've seldom required support, but when I have it has been absent. I've never had a single reply to any of the forms I've sent in.

They charge for memberships but offer absolutely no support whatsoever whether you're a free member or a paid member. I suppose that's a good thing, in the sense that they don't discriminate and everyone gets the same abysmal service. It's a shame they, in my opinion, discriminate in other areas. They call us customers, but there's no support, whether that be customer service or technical support.

You can submit a contact form via the website, but they never reply to them and they have a disclaimer saying they can't reply to everyone, in an attempt to excuse or legitimise their ignoring of genuine tech support requests. Even on the upgrade page it states that customer support is excluded from the membership plans.

I had a genuine technical issue on both sites, which still hasn't been resolved and now my Fabswingers account has been fully suspended by the mod I politely approached for assistance, just because I decided to block her because her replies were rude, unhelpful and abrupt.

On the websites, it states that you can post a listing for a meeting if you have been a member for at least 72 hours and if you are photo verified. I was both but couldn't post meets on either site and couldn't at the time of deleting my accounts over a week later. The page confirmed I met the requirements with green ticks. It confirmed that my meeting listings had been posted, but the listings were not visible, even to me - clearly a website bug. I'd only recently signed up again to both sites after a lengthy break. I could use the site normally otherwise.

I sent a contact form, no reply. I sent another, no reply. I copied the request to the e-mail address provided on their contact page, no reply.

At this stage I met the 72 hours requirement on both sites by double and, since I wasn't getting a reply from the admins, I messaged forum mods directly for support on both sites.

The male mod on Fabguys deleted the message without replying.

The female mod on Fabswingers was abrupt, rude and clearly not technically minded. She said that I had a block on my account and that I had to ask the admins (who don't reply) to lift it after 14 days. This has never happened to me before in over ten years of using the sites. In over ten years of using the sites, users are automatically allowed to start posting meeting listings after x number of hours. It's an automated timer and unlock. You have never had to apply to have it enabled, ever.

She insisted though, so I asked her why I had a block on my account when I hadn't done anything wrong and had only recently signed up. She replied, changing her tune and saying that she couldn't see if there was a ban or not or any reason why, if there was one, but insisted that there definitely was one, regardless of not being able to see it and was adamant that it was a fourteen day one.

They changed the forums so that you cannot post until you've had your account for fourteen days and I think she was getting confused with that fourteen day timer for that separate feature.

I was photo verified on both sites, met the membership criteria and on Fabguys, even had four user verifications within a week. The website confirms all of this itself when you try to post a listing.

I asked her if she could just please refer the bug to the admins to look into because it wasn't right and the information she was giving me didn't match my more than ten years of experience on the sites.

She refused, insisting that I had a block on my account, even though she admitted that she couldn't see it. I checked with another user who had been on the site four weeks and he too couldn't post meets and he too met all of the requirements. In addition, to support my 'not a block' theory, in the past two weeks the number of visible meet listings in the local update feeds of both websites have significantly dropped. Very few listings are made, indicating a bug with the system.

Neither of us have received any messages on either site telling us that we've been suspended (which is the protocol, you're supposed to be sent a message informing you) and neither of us have done anything wrong in any case. I was flagged to verify my photos by the automated system at sign up, because I use a VPN, but I verified myself and was approved on both sites. I can use every other feature of the sites without issue.

The stupid thing is, I could list myself as available for 3-12 hours using the meeting listing system and that was visible to other users, but the post about a meeting itself wouldn't go through properly.

It's obvious from the local status update feed that people can't post listings, but the admins have made no announcement about this saying they've changed the requirements or suspended the system.

As with everything else, they simply remain silent.

When the mod refused to help, I just said 'thank you for your support. I only asked if you could please refer it internally to be looked into' and blocked her because she way rude, abrupt, unapproachable, unhelpful and it was pointless trying to get through to her.

After blocking her she then proceeded to have my full account suspended within ten minutes, so that I cannot message anyone, post updates and don't show in the search results anymore.

As far as I'm concerned she's drunk on her own power and self importance and should be removed as a mod for abusing her position of trust and power.

Fab has lost a long term customer who has paid a lot in membership subscriptions over the years, only to be effectively, in my opinion and experience, bullied and discriminated against by a power mad mod.

I'm considering taking legal action because in my opinion, it's effectively cyber bullying and discrimination. I was polite and professional but because I asked her to escalate the issue to her superiors and blocked her due to her attitude, she had my account suspended maliciously and that's rather petty for someone of her age.

I will no longer use either site. They're happy to take your money but they give you no support at all and they ignore repeated requests from their customers for basic features that are either easily implemented or which are already live on one site but not the other.

Disgusting 'business' and the owners should be ashamed.

I might contact the Infirmation Commissioners Office as they've ignored my repeated GDPR requests. Websites have certain protections from legal liabilities, but when you charge people for a service and then fail to provide it, you actually gain legal responsibilities you otherwise wouldn't have. They also ignore all requests for data deletion under the GDPR. Last year on an old account I sent a contact form asking how to have my data deleted and was promptly suspended without any answer as to how to do that.

I tried to resolve things amicably with the sites but they just ignore you completely. It's almost as though they are deliberately treating their customers poorly so that we all leave and they can close the sites down and call it a day like they did with Cottaging and Dogging.

Tip for consumers:

Avoid paying any sort of money for a subscription as there is no customer or technical support at all. Ideally only use the free service until they start offering support to paying customers.

Not Such A Good Idea...
November 12, 2020

Presumably FabGuys thought it would be a good idea to open up the forums from their sister-site Cottaging.co.uk at the start of the Covid pandemic, to give their members a little bonus due to not being able to hook up due to the lockdown rules. Little could they have known what a nest of Vipers this was going to be. Over-run by vicious little Marys, Snowflakes, Virtue Signallers, cantankerous old farts and back-stabbing vermin who hit the mods alert button at the drop of a hat with minimal provocation, but more often than not for no f$&*ing reason at all.

Best of all are the forums 'Matriarchs' who infest, and start threads on a daily basis, just for the sake of doing so, and presumably, to see their names 'up in lights'. The most notable subjects are as listed below...

Someoneelsesname - previously the member known as happy and curious who after a username change (due to being banned from said forums), now commutes between Bristol and Falkirk to post there. A truly obnoxious git who thinks his every word is gospel. Loads of other members sussed him out virtually from the start and he cannot accept he's been busted. A very melancholy individual with as much personality as a cold turd.

Midsbeargrrr - our self-appointed resident alleged comedian. Well, the reality is, he's not even CLOSE to funny. Just like the late and unlamented Preston Gnome, all of his threads in the forum are juvenile and asinine, and are clearly the work of some deranged troll who doesn't know when to stop. If it wasn't for other like-minded idiots (like Sleepflower and WatchMeCum for instance), all his threads would die an instant death. He's about as funny as a urinary tract infection.

No Nonsense - needs to find another username as everything he hoists up on the forum is nonsense. Terminally puerile, and woe betide you if you don't agree with everything he posts up. Out go the toys from the pram like the big baby he is, and tantrums abound. Definitely needs some lobotomy work doing.

DeepCockMeat - Another opinionated scrote with sewage for brains. A veritable band-wagon jumper who is all over everything like a rash, but with not one original thought in his stinking carcass. Needs to order up a straight-jacket from Very as soon as possible.

Uncut guy - also known as Wendy from Worthing. A sanctimonious piece of work, a veritable tit and unstoppable gasbag. Another tantrum thrower and opinionated w^%ker with the gospel overtones of someoneelsesname. This twerp is a virtue signaller of the highest calibre and everything he posts up should be ignored.
