I was looking for an online Nigerian food store as I have been avoiding grocery stores due to the COVID pandemic. I saw an ad for Jalé on social media and ordered. The shipping was so fast the packaging was so pretty and well done it made me so excited to open it up. It was like a present! All my items were there, correct and the same quality I would have gotten at my local store. I will definitely be buying again. I hope they expand the list of products

After almost 6 month wait my sauna arrived. And I must say I do love it. Simple to put together (will need 2 people to lift). Some clamps were slightly off but it did not hinder the process, the wood is beautiful and smells wonderful. The product is worth the wait, especially because of the great prices. However, the customer service needs improvement. I had no problem waiting longer, but there needs to be updates on status at least once a month.

Tip for consumers:
Anticipate at least 6 months wait

The dried blood oranges' taste is fabulous! I ordered them for my birthday party to add them in wine and all my friends were interested in its taste. I have ordered them several times and I guess I would order other dried fruits as well.

Placed an order and received an email that it had shipped 3 days later when it actually did not ship until 10 days later. When received, the product was extremely stale. Customer service is non-existent. Sent several emails to address they have on website and never received a response. Called several times and each time could not get a person and was prompted to leave a message, which I did. Received no reply.

Ever since they announced an update to a live inventory system, the delays have gotten worse than usual. When they say "16-21 days" to ship, you can bet it will be longer. Nevertheless, they charge your card immediately. This doesn't seem to be a good way to do business--one would never accept sending a product first then being paid 16-21 days later, so why is the reverse ok?
I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Tip for consumers:
They charge your card right away, but aren't in a hurry to ship out products.

I have shopped at Savory Spice Shop online and at their retail store for about 10 years now. They are the best. Great product, amazing variety, excellent customer service. Our favorites are the fajita seasoning mix, red curry, mild chili powder, and cumin.

Tip for consumers:
Check want other customers have said about recipes and product reviews; these are very helpful in choosing a spice you haven't used before.

I paid for 2-3 day delivery. My 'fresh' herbs arrived 7 days later and had turned yellow. The reply to my email complaint was " we recommend you choose next dat delivery on fresh items". Did not address the delay nor ask for product to be returned for a replacement. In short, didn't want to take any responsibility. I shall not order from them again and suggest others don't either.

Have been buying from Spice Barn for several years. Local supermarkets don't carry many spices other than the typical basil, oregano, etc. and since I make my own BBQ rubs I have to order in bulk. Great variety of spices and seasonings and fast shipping always completes a perfect purchase! Wish we had a spice store in our neck of the woods! Never fear buying here! You won't be disappointed!
