“This was my first purchase from evaluesoftware.com,...”

Heath S.
4/25/13

This was my first purchase from evaluesoftware.com, which I found through shopping.yahoo.com. I was a bit skeptical, so I used a one-time credit card number from my Discover account, ordered the download, and voila--it all came together with ease, and at a GREAT price. Plus, when I had some concerns about burning the download onto a CD, I received very helpful LIVE phone support. I would definitely buy again from evaluesoftware.com. I heartily recommend the company!

It is TOO LATE to tell everyone but this company is a fraud run by criminals. Microsoft verified 1/31/15 that the Activation Key Code given to me by these criminals is NOT AUTHENTIC and NOT GENUINE MICROSOFT. I hope there is a way to find Nate Mumme and put his low life A** behind bars and everyone else that had any involvement in this ONLINE SCAM to STEAL from unsuspecting dumb'os like me and everyone else who got screwed.

Ordered Office Pro 2007. Got the link and installed the software but got a warning that the code had been activated too many times. Sent company a screen print as they requested. They did not send another code. I emailed person I had been corresponding with to process a refund. Didn't hear back from her. Called the customer support number and was put on hold. No one ever came back. I hung up and called customer support again - no one would answer the phone. I filed a dispute with my CC company. Very shady people. Stay away.

Purchased Office 2010 Pro download. I installed the software and it worked for exactly 1 year. Then received a notice that the software could not be validated and therefore would shut down. I've tried repair using the original install download but it does not work. I've tried calling the customer service only to find out the number is no longer in service. And I have also e-mailed customer service. I received a return email that said evaluesoftware closed in May 2014. I guess I am screwed. Never again will I buy an expensive product like MS Office as a download. I will only buy directly from the publisher.

Tip for consumers:
Watch for other websites that promise reduced prices on copyrighted software. You may be buying counterfeit software.

I have bought software from them in the past and I have had no issues.
Yesterday I bought offcie 2010 and the key they gave me was no good. They insisted that I had a trial version of it on the computer already. I told them I have checked and there is no such thing on the computer. They still did not believe me and insisted that I send them a screen capture. So I did. They sent me another key and that was no good either. It would not install. So, as a test, I used a key from back a few months ago and it works. They still are trying to tell me that it is my computer and not the keys. I want my money back and I will never use them again. What a waste of 2 days!

When I tried to activate the software I purchased from Evaluesoftware, the link did not exist. I tried to call and email the company, but it appears they are out of business. DO NOT believe the online reviews.

My company purchased the "Full Retail" version of Adobe CS5 on DVD for $595. The software was shipped quickly and it worked fine, but we had to phone Adobe for support and were informed that our license didn't qualify for support because it was the "Educational Version"! Further, it was licensed for resale in Asia, not here in the USA, and that it was already registered in Hong Kong!

How is that even possible unless they are selling black/grey market software...?

Got ripped off for ~$240.00. Previously bought Visio and Project along with Win7 without problems, tried for another copy of Visio and I'm told the code they sent isn't for any Office 2013 product

Almost every post, especially the 4- and 5-star posts, written on this site since July 2012 are fake and were written by employees of the company being reviewed. They mostly sell OEM and foreign license only.

They sell download software, but what they don't tell you when you are buying, is that you won't get to download your software immediately. Since I purchased on a Saturday, hoping to upgrade my system on my day off, I won't even find out until Monday whether they are going to actually let me download what I paid for or not. How screwy is that? Ridiculous. I never bought download software before that I had to wait 2 days to download. What's the point?

No personal experience - just browsing and came across them. When it sounds toooo good to be true it almost always is. Your site's reviewers comments has only confirmed this in spades, blackguard spades. I'm going back to Amazon and know I will be protected. I can always find a quality used product for a decent price and know the seller has positive feedback (or not) and that Amazon's return policy is ironclad. Know this from personal experience.

Thanks all for your feedback. So sorry so many have been ripped. How many thousands more that just suffer in silence.

Big wall of text, sorry, but I want to give people details about my experience so they don't get fooled too:

Tried to get Adobe lightroom 4.0 at a good price, ordered the download version, got an email from Tavish Brower at eValueSoftware: "I apologize for the inconvenience as we are currently out of stock for the download license keys you have purchased, due to a few outstandingly large orders. The shipment for the license keys are on their way and are expected within the next week."

I download software ALL the time and asking a customer to wait until they get a new shipment of product keys in is ridiculous... as well... there seem to be other people in this review site saying similar things... very suspect...

They DID cancel my order, (I cancelled it the same day), but the CSR on the phone told me to check my email right away because they mus have gotten some keys in and they JUST sent me an email with the download/key... wow...

When I confirmed that I did not have a new email from Tavish Brower with my download and key, she acted all confused and said that they'll cancel my order but that she was taking a risk that I was being honest that the email did not come in... again... wow...

60 seconds later, the cancellation/refund email comes into my inbox... never saw the download/key email that was apparently "JUST SENT" by Tavish Brower.

Do yourself a favour and stay away from these guys.

I am SO SORRY that I tried to save $200 by buying from this company. I will NEVER buy from them again because I believe I have lost $1650 instead of saving $200. I wanted to buy Adobe Creatve Suite 5 Master Collection for my business marketing dept, and I needed the full version, which has an MSRP of $2500. An online search indicated that evaluesoftware sells it for $1650. Other online sellers were selling it as low as about $1850. The evaluesoftware.com website description reads that the bundle "includes upgrade version PLUS a previous qualified version of the software that allows for a full installation/activation on 2 computers". I called evaluesoftware prior to placing my order to be sure that it was a legitmate license and to be sure that it was NOT just an upgrade version. Also, I wanted it quickly, and the website had an overnight shipping option. On the phone, they assured me that it was a legitimate license, and that they had it in stock, so I would get it within 2 days if I paid overnight, and 5 days without extra shipping cost. I paid the overnight shipping on Wed morning, expecting it to arrive by Friday. It did not. I called on Monday to inquire, and Alysa said it had been out of stock when I ordered it, but it would come in later in the week. When I said I needed it right away and they had originally told me it was in stock, they said they would check with a supervisor and call me back about sending me a download. They never called back. I called again the next day, and this time, they agreed to refund my overnight shipping charge and said they would drop ship the software from their California supplier overnight. I received software from CA the next day, but it was only an upgrade version, so the box said that I could not load it on my computer without a previous version. I called again, and after explaining the situation in detail to Katie, she put me on hold to speak with Nate who I had talked to the day before, and I stayed on hold for 20 minutes until I hung up and called back. Nate answered, which meant that no one had had any intention of ever coming back to me on hold. I read aloud to Nate their online description indicating that they would provide an outdated version with the upgrade version for a full install. Nate told me to go ahead and open the box so I could give him some info from it, but I refused to open it because then I would own it, and I would not be able to use it! He tried to coerce me into opening the box, telling me he could give me a key if he had info from inside the box. This was when I figured they were trying to stick me with it. He said he would check with his shipping dept about a previous version or a key and get back to me. So far, no results. I am SO SORRY that I tried to save $200 by buying from this company. I will NEVER buy from them again because I believe I have lost $1650 instead of saving $200. Not only did they misrepresent the product they were selling, but the purported "previous qualified version" is probably a pirated license, if and when I ever get it. I've learned my lesson! Pay the MSRP once and forget paying twice because of crooks.

I ordered two download packages (PhotoShop CS5 and Illustrator CS5) nine days ago on eValueSoftware's website since they showed as being "in stock". The sequence of events have been:
1) E-mail from them nearly immediately saying I'd have the downloads in 2 hrs
2) Four days later, I pinged them about the lack of a 2nd e-mail
3) Five days into this, they sent me PhotoShop's download
4) Six days into it, I asked what happened to Illustrator's download. They admitted that they are a LARGE company (after I accused them of being three yahoos working out of different garages) and didn't have Illustrator in stock
5) Seven days into it, they sent me BOTH PhotoShop (again -- different codes!) and Illustrator. When I tried downloading it, it wasn't compatible with my machine (despite ordering it correctly originally).
6) Eight days into it, they asked for the exact error code(s). I shipped it to them immediately with no response.
7) Nine days into it, and I've sent ten copies of the same e-mail to the two jokers who have fumbled their way through this customer interaction. At this point, I expect to have the software comp'ed, but I doubt they'll do that since they appear to be unaware of customer service norms.

Bought "Microsoft Windows 7 Pro SP1 OEM 32-bit Branded" for $86 and I was sent somebody's Dell Windows 7 DVD -- effectively a no-go. The DVD says, on its label, "The sofware is already installed on your computer. Use this DVD only to reinstall the operating system on a Dell PC" evaluesoftware did NOT disclose that this is what I purchased.
