3 cars and a motor home parked for 4 to 7 years in dead sister's back yard all given to her by me. She has been dead for 2 years and the cars have been stored on private property for 4 to 7 years. All I get from you guys is bul$#*! about how to fill out obtuse forms. You have her death certificate, the probate papers giving me authority over her estate. 7 revisions so far and no progress. $#*! you! Take my money and shove it. You are what is wrong with California government.
This was easy and fast and came in the mail without any issues.
The DMV takes forever. E tags takes 5 minutes. Tags came quickly with no issues. I've been using this service for all me vehicles. I will never step foot in another DMV. The DMV is a place where you go to slowly die in the inside. Everyone looks like their dog just died.
Being able to take care of my car registration online is a excellent way of conducting business for me. I lupus and some days I am unable to be in public, let alone drive, so I really appreciate this service
It all sounds so easy. Go online, apply, and in a few days you have your new tag and registration. The fee of $30 attached to this convenience is so outrageous. I'm sure the State could find a way to make the price more budget friendly for its residents.
It's very unfair and misleading that you don't inform the consumer of the exorbitant charge for renewing online. $19.95 charge for processing a $36.50 tag is highway robbery. And I was completely unaware until it had been processed and charged. I'm still angry. I can't believe our tag office goes along with this!
My husband is 88 yrs old and went on-line to find the Govt DMV and car registration. The appearance of ETAGS site makes an elderly person not very experienced with the internet to believe that this was a true Govt site. ETags makes you "think" you're at a Gov site. We didn't realize all of the transaction fees were going to be charged and we asked immediately to terminate the DMV registration request. This did not happen. In fact, nobody answered our request for the entire weekend. SO buyer beware! And especially elderly buyer beware. We felt tricked…..
In early October, I ordered online a CA registration for $58. To-date, I've received nothing. I called to inquire, and the unhelpful eTags representative said, "There's nothing I can do about it. The system won't let me." I've asked for a refund via email. First someone said it was being re-ordered. It never came. Now, no responses. They promised something, took my money, but delivered nothing.
Hi Rick, we apologize that you have had an unsatisfactory experience. Your experience is certainly not in line with our policy and support service. We provide a free replacement if a registration is lost in the mail and it is certainly unusual that you would not end up receiving either the original or the free replacement. If you would like to message us your order ID number here, we can certainly look further into this and contact you directly by phone or email. Looking forward to hearing from you.
New tag was mailed fast. Use them to renew my registration every year. Everyone else that says they were "surprised" by the actual amount that they paid should read what they are buying. It clearly states the price plus state taxes which you can click on and get the estimated state taxes to get a total.
They offer free replacement stickers once a year for lost/stolen registrations. Great service!
Hi Brieana, thanks for your feedback. We are very happy to hear that you find the order process and eTags service great. While others may not feel the same, we still value their feedback as we do yours. We are very honored to be able to serve you and look forward to do so in the future. Take Care and Drive Safely.
I like not having to go to the MV offices to renew. It is not a lot more as noted by others the fee hasn't changed much in the last 4 years. True it says an amount on mail notice then they add the state taxes and fees but you pay that at the office too.
I certainly appreciate services like this but one recommendation. Please detail and define the eTags Service Fee, Agency Fee, Credit Card Convenience Fee and shipping and handling ($3.95 to mail a letter?). Technology is supposed to make life easier, faster and less expensive. The fee list seems a bit questionable give we already pay taxes. Also, why has the State of Florida outsourced this work rather then deliver using State Employees? Love the convenience but, this is substantial enough to plan to stop by the office to renew the next time. Thank-you.
This was absolutely the fastest and easiest tag renewal ever! I would defend recommend the online service to everyone espresso those who don't care to wait in long lines to renew their vehicle registration!
I hate renewing my registration, but when it's time to review, I get an e-mail reminding me (instead of paper mail - which I usually throw out by mistake), I get cheaper price than the DMV and they e-mail me continuous updates regarding my order without me having to go searching for it. They notify me it was delivered & that makes it easier to know what's in my mailbox on what day.
I love this site... I will keep using them.
The service was amazing. Moving forward I will continue to use etags as a service.
Once they have your money they become totally disinterested and retreat back to their grass huts. Then you find out they have no association at all with any DMV and all they have is a copy machine. It came time to where they were gonna ask me to send the only proof that I own my motorcycle to someone who barely speaks english and I came to my senses. And killed the deal. They laid in their hammock and joyfully kept my 50$ fee for not doing a damn thing but exploiting this virus.
I learned about the etags option while searching online to see how to get a paper copy of my electronic title. Although I had some difficulty using the website (I have since heard that the site may not work well on Apple devices), I did get the title as promised. I requested overnight service, but the title didn't come until a day later than expected. However, it was accurate, and I was able to sell my car the following day. It would have been hard for me to find time to go to an office to handle the transaction in person, so I appreciate the online option.
Delivery was fast even during pandemic very impressed. The online is step by step and a breeze to get through. Enjoy emails reminders that include links to easily pay my other vehicles (No dmv is the best worth the price)
I thought this was a normal tag agency site or governmental revenue collection bureau. Little did I know that I would pay $50 more for the 2 cars I renewed. Also, my wife's plate was changed out for another number which we were never told about. The total cost was never revealed when I was ordering. When I saw the email the next day I called to cancel, they said it was already processed. The only positive is we did receive our order very quickly.
With forgetting when my registrations are due it's great they remind me like 3 months ahead of time so I can prepare. I would be up to my neck in dmv fees, not to mention more likely to be pulled over without them. 20 dollar fee to not wait at the dmv, totally worth it.
I will mail or go to pay in person in the future... Why is it alright to scam even those on a limited income? You should be ashamed... everyone wants to make a buck these days, even your company, who seems to have taken over, what appeared to be normal DMV fees... What in the hell has our Country come to. Our Government has shown over and over that they could care less about the average consumer. You want 100 words, well too bad, this is all I have to say.
Hi Beverly, we are a private company and, while we cannot control what the government is doing we can help with address your concerns regarding your use of our service. Answer: Hi Karl, yes, you can. If you are already an owner of the vehicle, you can order a duplicate or replacement title if you lost your original copy. If you need to transfer ownership into your name, you can also request a transfer of the title only without applying for a registration. We provide both of these services in Florida, California, and Pennsylvania. New York services will be online soon. Visit eTags.com to choose the state and service. If your vehicle is not currently registered in any of those state or you are not transferring that title to that state, you can still do the same service directly with the DMV in the state you are in. Thanks for your question and best of luck.
Answer: Hello Patricia, thanks for your question and our apologies on the delay in reply as we do not check this third party, independent website regularly. You certainly can order a duplicate Florida title on our website by visiting https://www.etags.com/app/fl/print-title. If you have any questions or need any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us directly by phone or email were we promise to get back to you in a prompt time frame. Take Care and Drive Safely.
Answer: Hi John, thanks for your question. We currently offer renewal service online in California, Maryland, and Florida. You will be able to still use our service if your vehicle is registered in California or Florida. Please keep in mind that the DMV will require we collect the past due amount along with the fee to bring your tag current through the next year. If your vehicle is registered in Maryland, the MVA requires you renew in person if you are more than 6 months late so you will not be able to complete the order online with eTags. Let us know if you have any other questions.
Answer: Hi John, thanks for your question. If you would like to no longer receive emails from eTags, you can click on the "Unsubscribe" link located at the bottom of any email you received from us. We can also unsubscribe you if you would like to send us your order ID or tag number and name on the order. To unsubscribe from emails from separate parties such as SiteJabber or ShopperApproved, please use the unsubscribe link in their emails or contact them as they are not affiliated with eTags. We hope this information helps. Take Care and Drive Safely.
Answer: Hi Wilma, thank you for your message. We apologize for the delayed reply as this site (sitejabber.com) is not owned or operate by eTags and we do not monitor communications via this independent reviews website regularly. Our support team can respond to inquires within 24 hours if we are contacted directly by phone or email. On our website, both before and after and order is submitted for Florida registered vehicle, we itemized our service fees and we disclose that your state registration fee is to be determined (TBD). The Florida registration fee is not listed on the website becuase, since we are not the DMV, we have to send your plate information to a state licensed agency to calculate that amount and that is done offline. We do provide a resource before the order is placed that allow you to estimate the amount of your state registration fee and we also disclose on our website that we are not owned or operated by any government agency. We apologize if you missed that information prior to completing your order. Your registration was already renewed on 3/24/17 and this cannot be reversed with the state DMV. Your tags were already shipped to the address you provided us at the time you placed your order. Please contact our customer support team directly by phone or email and they will be able to assist you with any additional questions or concerns you may have.
Hi Kale, that's deep... and slightly disturbing. Thanks for your feedback though and hope to serve you again in the future. Take Care and Drive Safely.
