I've just received notice of my complaint against EspeciallyYours.com being closed by The State of SC Department of Consumer Affairs. I received the same results from the MA & SC BBB and the attorney general of MA. With the BBBs I sent in rebuttals and did the same with PayPal, whom with I had also opened a dispute. In the latter's case, with my rebuttal of their decision I inquired as to their response as to how they defined the pants having been "processed" correctly. No answer to this, only that they had decided the case in favor of the seller. I'd ask you who are reading this to go out to EspeciallyYours.com and check out item: T2869. The only thing I can see that is different from when I ordered on 5/20/17 is the pricing at $19.99 (I paid $24.99). This pant is described as a "palazzo pant" twice in the advertisement. Those that came with my order were neither as pictured or described ("wide-legged") for the circumference measurement was 24" for the entirety of the leg. At one point in the description the company does reference them as being a "straight", wide-legged pant. Most assuredly my order was the former (2 pairs) and not the latter. Do also note that no where on the internet (how I ordered) page where the pant is advertised is there mention that clearance items are final sale, no returns or exchanges. When one goes to the Returns & Exchanges section, a statement is made that "Clearance and Final Sale items CANNOT be returned. Any returned Clearance and Final Sale items will be DONATED TO CHARITY on your behalf, with no exchange or refund applied." And yet (do note I am quoting directly from the response sent to the Department of Consumer Affairs by Janell S. Harper, Training & Development Manager, Contact Center, 400 Manley ST, West Bridgewater, MA *******), the customer service agent I spoke with on 6/1/17 advised me "to return the item and it would be inspected. If we found that the item was defective, we would waive the $8.99 smart label return fee and exchange the item. If it was deemed that the item was not defective, the customer would not receive a refund or exchange and the item would be donated to charity per policy." Is there not a discrepancy being shown here? My thoughts after reading the negative ratings and reviews of this company both on sitejabber.com and the BBB were that there wasn't much prospect the pants would be deemed defective and if so, it would have to be the case with both pairs of pants for measurements taken were the same. If not defective per their judgment, I'd be further inconvenienced and out additional funds. There'd be no substantial win in my consulting a private attorney or my local magistrate based on the failing results I've had contacting multiple intermediary agencies, nor would any compensation received match fees paid and inconvience endured on my part. Still (here's where I'm thankful for sitejabber.com), I feel the need to join so many others who are sharing their dealings with this company in hopes that others will not endure what we have. Also worth noting is the following quoted from About Especially Yours on the website, "Especially Yours® offers a wide assortment of fashionable, versatile wig and hair piece styles and clothing for the fashion-conscious black woman." Why would this company want to make such a statement of differentia? It's not as if it read; Especially Yours offers a wide assortment of fashionable, versatile wig and hair piece styles and clothing considered or proven by our company to be representative of the likes and/or preferences of those clients we focus on, the fashion-conscious black women. Or does it? For certain, there is a large market population with money to spend who are not prejudicial or impartial; but interested only in obtaining items they are in need of or desiring... preferring above all else, quality being offered by reputable, honest companies.
**************508 Worst company ever. I do not know what happened after 2012 but I will never ever order from this company again after using them for over 15 years. Luckily I paid via PayPal. Order April 1st for a wedding, today still not shipped though I have a tracking number that has yet to ship after I requested them to cancel the order Tuesday and was told that it was on backorder and that my payment would not be submitted until it shipped. I said my payment was debited from my account and the young lady all but called me a liar and that she would hang up if I did not stop yelling. All she had to do is cancel my order and forget about all the lame excuses. The nexr day I get an e-mail stating it had shipped. Wrong again. Thankfully we have options and a way to inform other consumers before they decide to purchase from this company. Honestly in my 57 years this is my worst ordering experience. Who would purchase from the poorest service ever.
