Giving a 1 star rating is far too kind. I am submitting this review - Not as a patient but as personal friends and caregivers to a friend who was seeking treatment and help for her Lyme Disease from this facility. Me and my wife were involved on a daily basis during her time of incompetent care. We would highly recommend that you search for other treatment options if you want any sort of specialized heartfelt attention. Her treating physician showed a deplorable lack of professionalism over the course of 8+ weeks of treatment. We witnessed firsthand a complete lack of sympathy and willingness to address symptoms that would hinder any kind of improvement to her health. There seemed to be no real concern for pain/nausea/vomiting & sleep deprivation throughout the course of her stay here. These should be common issues for treatment to a Lyme Disease patient. There was also no attempt at reviewing her past medical history, allergies and/or supplements and prescription medications that could have aided in her care. It took literally 7 weeks to get an anti-nausea medication (that had worked previously for her), secured. I personally called her "patient care" representative and made multiple visits and phone calls to local pharmacies to even get this needed medication attained. This is after weeks of her inability to eat or keep food down following the intense treatments. The amount of weight loss she experienced over this short period of time is scary and should have been addressed quickly. The port that was inserted for treatment became infected and the removal of the port at the end of the treatment was really barbaric in my opinion. The time it took to get any lab results or even order tests was unbelievable. I don't know how you can treat something when you have no baseline for what you are treating or know what the results are showing. They also seemed to disregard any of her other co-infections which play a big part in what should have been the overall treatment plan. In general we think that the plan they shared with her was not executed or even deviated from based on what was actually happening. The saddest part of this whole experience is that this patient came all the way across the country at her own expense to get this horrible care. The lack of personalized care that she was promised was not delivered on any level. The final results shared were NO improvement to the Lymes Disease. This is at the end of the very aggressive debilitating treatment regimen and was the only thing that they were supposedly trying to treat. The response she received after finally getting the test results back is also unacceptable. (We are very confused by the results and hope you can find someone else that can help you?) As an organization you should be ashamed to cash the check. I would expect that she would receive some sort of a refund for the horrible care that she received. I am aware that you don't promise any results which is stated front and center on your website and should be a huge warning sign to others seeking care. What is more important is that you also shouldn't promise any level of humane treatment in the process. To say that we are very disappointed on her behalf is an understatement of epic proportions. I expected much more out of a health care organization.
