First time ordering. Miraculously, both rugs sold out overnight and have the same amouNt of people on the wait list. I think you probably just didn't update your site and they were never in stock. I'll just cancel my account. NOT IMPRESSED. I've also said I do NOT want any follow up messages from you yet I can't submit this without one. I'll never order with you so don't bother.

If I could give a negative 10 I would. I purchased a complete set last year that was over $2,000 for our patio at one of our businesses. A corner bottom piece was cracked, and an entire section of the couch was missing. I have given every excuse because the new and missing part have that been replaced/sent. We have since switched suppliers and have spent over $25,000 with them and have had no issues. This company has no business ethics or customer service when it comes to fulfilling what you paid for. No different than theft.

We bought 6 chairs from english elm. Before receiving the chairs we already decided on different ones. When the 3 boxes arrived we asked for a refund without even opening the boxes. Had our refund accepted and sent the 3 boxes back paying shipping out of pocket. Tracking said the boxes arrived. Thought everything was on order until Andrew from customer service sent pics of the chairs with scratches on them claiming they were damaged and we would not get a refund. Below are the pics they sent of this unsellable damaged chairs. They found miniscule scratches and used this to deny us a refund. We never even opened the boxes because their refund policy dats the item must return in original packaging with no seen attempts at assembly. So we have no chairs and we are out the shipping. Do not order from this company. And don't believe these fake responses on here. This company will not make it right.

My order number was *******6284 so you know this is a real review. I ordered a sectional that ended up being to small for the room. Granted that was my fault for not properly measuring but when I asked to by an additional center section for the couch they replied saying they didn't sell them. When I wrote back asking how they handled replacing pieces of the couch that were damaged during shipping they literally stopped communicating. How hard is it to sell me an additional section of a section when they have the ability too? Now I'm stuck with a couch that looks like a joke in my living room because it's so small. Never spending money with this company again if they refuse to help and I'm in the process of building 15 new Airbnb 4-5 bedroom houses that I will be furnishing…

We ordered several chairs from this website under the assumption that they were brown wood with beige cushions. However, they came in and they were pinkish wood with yellow cushion. When asked to return them while they are willing to return them the shipping to get them back is on you and generally will cost you more than the item itself. They do not offer any assistance with this so just be careful when ordering from them as images on their website are very deceiving.

The company they use to ship your stuff is a JOKE! The box was destroyed when it showed up today. It was so torn apart he couldn't even get it in my house so he had to carry in each piece of my table while the box lay in my front yard. Prior to this I found out the hard way that their is no one who will answer or return calls. They do all communication via email and after about 20 emails back and forth I learned they just tell you what you want to hear but it really goes nowhere. They did make my deadline but the stress of what to do if there was a damage to my table was not worth it. I'll stick with known companies who back up there stuff in the future. I read if there are damages upon arrival you still pay to return it and I had I refused the delivery today (with the box in shambles) I would have been charged a refusal fee. Insane in my opinion and lesson learned. BE CAREFUL before ordering with this company! I just tried to upload photos but isn't allowing me to.

This company does not honor their return policy. I returned the items I purchased because the quality was very poor for the price of the items and never received my refund. I had to pay for the shipping to return the items and still did not receive the refund. Basically I paid for items and paid to return the items without receiving a refund, so I lost over $100 and don't even have the items that I paid for. The company provided me a return authorization number, I followed their instructions and the refund was never processed. Stay far far away from this company they will steal your hard earned money.

We ordered an oval table in November and received it in February. To add insult to injury, the table was delivered damaged. The wrapping was too tight, damaging the table; the proof is in the photographs. English Elm refuses to rectify the problem because they were informed 48 hours late. We waited for months! But they have a problem with 48 hours! I went back and forth with Andrew from English Elm; I told him we were unsatisfied and would report this to the BBB and my credit card company. Andrew N of ENGLISH ELM THREATENED ME WITH THESE EXACT WORDS "Then we will respond accordingly. We have your account information and we'll send it over to the collections agency. Your credit rating will be affected. Andrew N." In one of his emails, he offered a $500 refund. We do not want a refund! We want an undamaged table that we paid $3000 for. The table is damaged, and we must look at it daily! DO NOT TRUST ENGLISH ELM DO NOT BUY FROM ENGLISH ELM. WE WILL INFORM THE PUBLIC OF THIS UNCARING ATTITUDE TO THE CUSTOMER. I WILL BE STICKING WITH WAYFAIR!

I ordered an ottoman on 10/29/21. I was told that it would be here in February 2022. However, I got an email alert that it was shipped on 12/21/21, while I was away for the Christmas & New Year holiday season. It was "supposedly" delivered to my doorstep by FedEx without a signature requirement. As a result, when I got back home from out of town, my ottoman was missing. I tried filing a claim with FedEx but because it was sent without a signature request, it was denied. FedEx said it was on the sender. I reached out to English Elem and they refused to rectify the matter. So, basically I'm out of my money and ottoman. I will never order from them again.

English Elm is a backorder furniture company that sells items as if they are in stock ready for delivery.
I placed an order for 2 Remark Gray Chairs on 4/23/21. Total $842.50.
Immediately after the order went through I was emailed my items were on backorder til August or September 2021.
9/23/21 I received one chair out of two.
The company expects me to wait til August or September 2022 for the second chair.
I WILL NOT.
It has taken me since 9/23/21 to receive half credit back on money the company had since 4/23/21.
Now I have the chair received to return back to them. I paid $75.00 to prepare the chair for pickup by a promised warehouse truck.
They have emailed me a Fed Ex label to arrange my own pickup.
Real customer service.
Called self-service.
I should not have to arrange the pickup.
English Elm should be shut down.
Please save yourself time; money; and your health dealing with them.
No consumer deserves to be treated this way.
I have no photo to upload because the single chair is in a box.
Prepare to involve your bank; spend hours to expose them; plus the hours invested in emailing them.
They just do not get it.
But they grab your money...
Keep your money...
After a battle you might get back part a refund like me... but plan on ongoing battles to get your total refund.
I requested a warehouse pickup to insure the safe return of the chair.
Placing the chair in the custody of Fed Ex is a risk.
I have great sympathy for others that have been burned by them.
Consumers that just wanted the items ordered.
This has just about cost me my health too.

I bought an 8x10 rug. Didn't open it wanted to send back so went to post office and the rug was $300 to ship back, rug was $500 if that tells you anything! I called English elm multiple times and no one answers. Always a voicemail. I was able to email an employee who said they could do nothing other than credit me 30 to keep the rug! Then he said 60! Didn't care at all I was stuck with an unopened rug I didn't want! Never ever use English Elm!

Yes, it’s not the customers fault when they want to send unopened product back. How this was handled was horrible!!!!

I spent forever trying to find something that would ship within the week and they wasted two days of my time while I waited for them to tell me the table I ordered was out of stock for the next two months. We already had someone coming to pick up our old furniture, so we spent a week without a place to sit because they don't keep their inventory levels current on the website.

Although it took 5 weeks for our Aspenhome bed to arrive, Englishelm was $400 cheaper than the next closest price I could find. We had a minor issue, but their customer service was responsive and helpful. Bottom line, if you need it fast, look elsewhere. If you want the best deal, try Englishelm. I will be using them again!

I bought a bed earlier this year for nearly $600 and a few months later I realized the same bed was available at another retailer for $300. I was heartbroken and felt seriously scammed so I reached out to English Elm about it hoping for some type of credit but expecting them to tell me I was out of luck. To my surprise the response was prompt and the person I spoke with was really understanding and said this was something they could help me with and they'd get back to me when they knew more. It's been a difficult year full of loss and finances aren't very stable in my family right now so I was overjoyed and so grateful. They reached back out to me the following day in a very different and almost rude tone saying after talking with the team there was nothing they could do and it was clearly outlined in their return policy (which I had mentioned I wasn't familiar with). I was very disappointed to hear this but not surprised - after all, it was what I had been expecting. I then asked if there was any way I could return the bed - $600 down the drain is not something I could afford and I was willing to try again. Again the response was prompt and friendly - copied and pasted directly they said "Hi Elena! I'm communicating with the team regarding this concern of yours Yes you can return the item, but you need to pay for return shipping Our claims department will now be contacting you to assist with the return process". I was ready to return my bed and certain that return shipping wouldn't cost as much as they ripped me off for so I waited patiently for the claims department but after not hearing anything for two days I informed them I hadn't heard from anybody and I asked how they would be contacting me so I wouldn't miss it. They told me it would be an email so I waited patiently for another week and five days I asked when I should expect the email. They asked me if I had not received it yet - obviously not - and then asked me to check my spam folder. I checked and found nothing so they apologized for the inconvenience and then asked me who I emailed. What? I had been told the claims department would be contacting me - not to email anybody. At this point I realized just how disorganized these people are and I reminded them what they had told me, attaching their original message. This is when they just started ignoring my messages completely. After no response for three days I sent a message that read "Should I just give up on this then?" because obviously nobody there would have the professionalism to follow up unless I prompted it. Getting help from these people is like pulling teeth. Three days later they responded saying actually, I couldn't return it, and I was SOL. Why string me along for a month instead of telling me this initially? Now not only do I know they don't care about my experience but I also feel disrespected by the colossal waste of time that I spent messaging this company this holiday season. They have also gone out of their way to prevent reveiws being posted in places like their facebook page and it seems they post several false positive review. I would really avoid this company at all costs for so many reasons. You'll end up spending twice what you should have and if you do have any issues with your purchases you will not be able to find any resolution. The items they sell are way too high ticket for the company to run like this. Such a joke. Save yourselves the trouble I've gone through.

It's easy to write a positive review when you don't have any issues. I always say, you don't know how good or bad a company is until you have a problem! Mine is a long story that has dragged out for 7 months. English Elm is a middleman operation run by 1 person. So, when you have a defective product like I did, he can't do anything other than replace with another that is also defective. Mine came from Steve Silver so don't order from them. They also refused to do anything and said it had to go through English Elm. Months of run around. I also filed a complaint with BBB and English Elm never responded. Now I'm working with my credit card co. And trying to get a refund! Spread the word!

I ordered a set of 2 end tables and coffee table from them. They came several days late. Got 1 complete end table and 1 incomplete plus no coffee table. They did end up sending another end table after a lot of back and forth and begging on my end. And they said the coffee table was discontinued and would have to refund me for a portion of my order. Fine but now we don't have a matching coffee table. Wish they would have disclosed that before I ordered the set of 3

This company advertises that items are "in stock" and then after you order them, they send you an email that the item is a custom/made to order item and that production is pushed back a couple of weeks. They ask if this timeframe works for you, then a 50% non-refundable deposit will be used to start production. If you cancel any time after production has started, only 50% of your funds will be refunded.

The problem is that they keep sending you an email that the item is pushed back every 30-60 days. You never receive it OR your money.

Like I said, RUN!

They refuse to respond to emails. The phone system is set up so that you can never talk to a person. They ask you to leave a message but they never return your call. They sent me an email indicating that my furniture was delivered. It has not been delivered. They have charged my card however. I have no tracking information. I don't even know where to go with this.

I ordered a bed frame from this company and it had missing screws. Ive been trying to reach someone via phone and email, no one answers the phone, returns your voice messages or responds to your emails. Its been two weeks now!
I DO NOT RECOMMEND this company! The bed frame we bought from them target and home depot also carried at the same price, it was out of stock in both those places when we ordered from this company. Since then its become available in both those location. Dont order from this company, wait for a more reliable company to have them in stock.

I got an email at the end of August saying they were sold out and the back order would arrive mid December.
Now fast forward, it's December and I get another email saying it's been delayed AGAIN til April.
Unless it's exactly what you are looking for, get it somewhere else. I'm regretting purchasing from this company, but feel like I've already waited this long

I ordered a rug on October 2,2020 with the understanding that normal delivery ( outside of an Amazon-type environment) could take up to 2 weeks.

I have made 3-4 inquiries about delivery. They provide no tracking numbers. After 3 weeks, I still have nothing. Someone always responds thanking me for my patience, but that no consolation.

It's a horrible process, and once I get delivery (if I get delivery), it will be my last encounter. Beware if you decide to order from English Elm.
