This is simply a cover-up company
March 1, 2014

This is simply a cover-up company. They have no interest in trying to make a business, selling furniture, but profits on the principle, that customers simply run tired, trying to get their deliveries and tends to drop their claims in the end. Easy done: a netshop (You could make one yourself for a few bucks), a mailsystem replying with auto-generated mails to complainers, a couple of employees occupied in following sites like Trustpilot etc trying to controll the worst dammages. A couple of telephone workers, used, when forced to call complainerrs. They only have to know one sentence:: "we'll look in to the case and get back to you soon". Funiture? Not a stool! And there you go: a moneymashine is created, with much less costs, than setting up a real business. Incredible, that it is legal in a society more and more build on e-commerce!

TO THE REPLY FROM INFURN: Rest asure, that the people pretending to care about my case, in your so called "customer-support", have all the information needed, and still have only been "just-words-no-action". I do not see why I should give you those same informations, as you probably have all the time in the world (as you are obviously not occupied selling furniture in any way) to spam me even more with further empty, mostly auto-generated emails, in trying to stop me from telling the truth about your scam company! For those, following this thread, not finding enough here to stop them form trying out Infurn, I advice you to not take my word, but check out other review-sites, like Trustpilot.com to see for yourselves, that Infurn is nothing but a setup for cheating the money out of people,

Worse online shopping experience ever!
February 4, 2014

Worse online shopping experience ever!

My shopping experience resembles many of the other unsatisfactory experiences that I have read here. The company does a great job in marketing their goods - they fail however to let you know the delivery times until AFTER the order is placed!
Seemingly their goods have a MINIMUM of 6 month delivery time - as standard. The only exception seems to be a couple of lamp models and the bean bags. On top of that, what they also fail to tell you is that should you wish to cancel your order - (likely given the unreasonably long delivery time) - it his is only possible once the 6 month timeline has passed. What is more, you can only expect to receive a refund after a further 30 days. Lets do the math - 6 months + 1 month for the refund. (more about this can be found on their website - I would put the link here - but my earlier review included it which resulted in the review being deleted - by INFURN.)

Anyway, back to my story - in practice this means that as you have put your credit card details and pushed the 'confirm' button - you will either (1) have to wait a MINIMUM of 6 months for the goods or (2) wait a MINIMUM of 7 months to get your money back should you change your mind. These timings are of course the best possible scenario... As you will note there are many in this forum that have waited longer time for their refund and/or goods.

Ask yourself - what reputable company takes your money IMMEDIATELY and keeps it for a MINIMUM of 6 months and believes that is OK. They argue that this is OK as the goods are 'made to order' -- which is absolutely rubbish - I ordered a standard lamp - which is not customised in any form. This company uses totally fup and bad excuses to keep you money - what they are doing is requesting payment in advance so that they can pay their suppliers - in all likely 30-45 days AFTER shipment - thereby the company sits on your money for a minimum of 7-8 months and gaining interest. Not a bad business model on paper - in practice it means they need to keep finding new customers - hence the extreme internet marking as their retainment rate or returning customers is probably extremely low - at best!

In short, for future potential customers - if you dont care about your money and dont need it for another 7+ months or dont care when or even if you get the goods - then go ahead - place your order with INFURN/LivingDesign etc., (the company has many names). If however you do care - THINK TWICE BEFORE GIVING YOUR MONEY TO INFURN!

In my case, I ordered a simple lamp and had understood the delivery time would be 2-3 weeks. However immediately upon my payment being taken, I received an email with the information that I can expect to receive this lamp in June 2014. IMMEDIATELY (ie. Within 5 minutes of placing the order) I (tried) to contact INFURN to cancel the order - after 10 emails - no response.

There is no other company I have dealt with that does not provide an email or telephone number on their website. Check it out. INFURN does not provide any REAL contact information - the street addresses (according to a Danish TV station who has done a documentary recently about the dealings of this company found out the addresses posted might not necessarily be where INFURN has their premises). They have presence all over Europe and USA but seems to be virtual only.

In order to come in contact with the company they provide a link to a form you need to complete. Not to be put off though by the silly form (which btw does not allow you to have a record of any messages being sent -(very smart INFURN) I also 'ordered' a 'call up' from the customer representative to resolve this matter - I placed my call order last week (10 mins after I placed the initial order) and the earliest 'slot' for a call was today between 16-17. But guess what? The customer representative called me at 10.30am - so I missed the call. I am pretty determined so I called back on the number that was on my dial and surprisingly got through. - silence at first - a bit of surprise I think at both ends that I even got through... But what happens next? Well just as I was about to share my opinion of this whole matter, the customer rep suddenly tells me the line is too bad and she cant hear me - and will call me back immediately. I waited and waited - and nothing - so I called back and guess what? The answer machine was turned on. I have since tried another 20 times and the answering machine is still on referring me to their website (and the infamous contact form). But guess what? There is a bright note:-) Like others in this forum - I too was offered due to the long delivery time a 10% credit note on my next purchase - how generous INFURN - thank you. But no thanks.

I am absolutely amazed at the arrogance and unprofessionalism of this company. I am generally cautious of internet companies and had originally planned to purchase a few lamps - but before doing so I always recommend doing a test case to check out a firm primarily to see if it is a reputable and decent company - which I am SO glad that I did in this case. I have of course learnt through this experience that INFURN is absolutely not a company I would do business with EVER again. So guess what - I'll be placing my order for the remaining quantity of lamps elsewhere!

Who knows when I will receive my money back -(if at all) am not expecting much, but have the support of my bank to retrieve the funds sooner than in six months - INFURM apparently is already on the radar of many banks for their business practice... In the meantime I am determined to visit every forum, contact any office - just to get myself heard. If it costs the price of the lamp - so be it. This company must be stopped!

For the record INFURN - I am writing directly to you with the knowledge that you will probably do what you can to get this review deleted. However, just in case you have been in any doubt - I WANT A REFUND SOONEST - this refers to ORDER AU-******* which was created on 28 January 2014. Thank you.

Worst company ever
January 8, 2014

Worst company ever - seriously lacking in integrity - wish I had read all these reviews beforehand...

Read All of the below - info regarding refunds under section 75 Consumer Credit Act 1974...

1) Ordered 4 beanbags
• They duplicated my order to 8 beanbags!

AU-*******, AU-*******, AU-*******, AU-*******

2) Cancelled COMPLETE order straight away - but only when contacted because of review left on here! No reply to comms before this. (Laurie-Ann)

At which point they had already taken my money.

• Confirmation both verbally and in black and white in email that ALL ref numbers above were COMPLETLEY cancelled and that a refund will hit by bank after 30 days and by 11th Jan 2014 at the latest. (nice bit of interest accrued from MY money then no doubt!)

Took my money instantly yet cannot refund for 30 days? INTEREST... ing

3) Infurn still sent 2 beanbags out
• Infurn admits liability for the mistake again on phone and in black and white (Laurie-ann)

4) Infurn has given me two options: (Laurie-Ann and Norbert);

Either a) I loose the £76 for the two beanbags THEY SENT BY MISTAKE, or

B) I can pay the courier to send them both back TO GERMANY at MY COST for a full refund of MY 304 pounds and no reimbursement for return courier!

C) When I asked to speak to the 'Manager' they hung up?!

Infurn - YOU have admitted YOUR mistake but want ME as the CUSTOMER to pay for it financially?!

As other reviewers on here - I too will be contacting Watchdog, Trading Standards, European Consumer Centre, a Solicitor, Dennis Hoffman (CEO) and anyone else I can think of... until I am REFUNDED MY money IN FULL - all £304!

PS to all other ripped off customers - if you paid by credit card it may be worth contacting your card provider as they should be able to refund you in full under section 75 Consumer Credit Act 1974 and take over the burden of claiming the refund from Infurn - they WILL get their money back!

Good luck all!

WARNING THIEVES
October 20, 2013

WARNING THIEVES
We are posting, and will re-post, this message for all people out there to be warned and NEVER TO BUY ANYTHING FROM THE SCAM COMPANY INFURN!
BE WARNED!
Here is our story
We ordered DSW chairs, a table and a lamp in SEPTEMBER 2012, worth about 1000Eur. Paid in advance.
First date of delivery announced latest December 2012
-nothing
First delay announced in December for January 2013
-nothing
Second delay( mail) in February -postponing delivery of one piece to 25.02,4 pieces 25.03 and the table another -watch out-18 weeks!
-we resign from the table, resignation and return of money, confirmed by Infurn.
-upon this we receive ONE piece ( lamp) in march
Third delay ( apologizing mail)in March -another delay of the chairs and (please note)Table, which we expect reimbursement for since February 2013.
Followed by a series of phone and mail exchanges to get the money back for the table. Finally we get the chairs ( slightly chipped all 4 of them!) but still no money for the table!
We denounce the company to European consumer center and get the lawyers to take contact with INFURN.
Upon this we have been getting many, very friendly, phonecalls and mails announcing that they will pay us back our money ( ca 600 Eur) the following day.
"very sorry *ble ble *problems in that department, *ble ble* I SEWEAR the mony will be sent tomorrow! " at least 3 times on the phone and written in mails!
And... no suprise... NOTHING!
Its end of October its been 13 MONTHS and counting!
Please don't get tempted, quality is so, so and delay is a joke. We spent loads of time and lost lots of our temper on this -waste of life!
The Dolo family.
