I purchased a 100% pure mulberry silk 6A grade gown for my wife. Spend $189USD.

The package arrived. Nowhere were the words 'ellesilk', just Chinese names.

The invoice had the product valued at 19USD. Great. The worst feeling ever. Being duped.

This is a cheap product from China. Like many others, I wish I read the negative reviews before purchasing. This was meant to be an anniversary gift but she'll never value it, and we'll only associated it with getting ripped off.

Avoid!

This is a fradulent company. It is based in China and not called ElleSilk. They are misrepresenting and mischaractetizing themselves - for what reason - I dont know.

My shipment arrived today from China and not U. S and the company also did not pay import fees of 46 Euro. DHL requested that I pay that in order for them to release the package.

Hidden fees, mischaracterized name amd misrepresentation. This does not look like good news.

Ordered a pair of silk pajamas from ElleSilk for $180 in December of 2020. They arrived fairly quickly given the distance, that is the best thing I can say about this company. The pajamas literally started falling apart within 7 days of use, tag falling off, runs in the silk, etc. I contacted customer service thinking they would stand behind their product, especially at this price point. I was wrong. After a series of emails I was instructed to send the item back to China at my expense, once received they refused to do anything to remedy the situation even though they acknowledged the set was piling and running. Their refusal was based on the fact the item was used. Of course it was used, how would I have know about the lack of quality without wearing the item. I didn't spend $180 to look at the pajamas in their packaging. They offered to replace them but with a $100 restocking fee. I refused and now the disintegrating pajamas are on their way back to me. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company and their inept (uncaring?) customer service.

I paid an exorbitant amount of money for sheets that pilled in 2 months. I sent pictures to the company and they told me since it had not happened in 30 days they would not refund me the money. Tried to blame it on my care of the sheets. I am fastidious about the care of them. The have pilled where my child sleeps in the bed with me with pajamas on, and where my feet hit the bed. The quality of these sheets is subpar and I have paid entirely too much for a product that can't last 90 days without pilling. Nothing like trying to sleep on sheets that you paid over 700 for that have rough pills all over the sheets. And they suggested I just iron them down. So absurd and poor product and customer service.

Please do not buy ANY plus size nightgowns as they do not make them true to size and cannot be returned. I wanted a beautiful one for our anniversary and now I cry because the top of the gown is for a size 14 and the bottom a 18. SOOOOOOOOO DISAPPOINTED!

Convinced it's a scam. I ordered sheets with express shipping on April 1. April 9 I sent a request asking where they were. April 11 they told me the sheets were originally out of stock but were shipped. I asked for the tracking number and they said they do not have one. I understand things are a little hectic with COVID but you still need to tell people when things are out of stock. Not having a tracking number is raising red flags. I asked for a refund and my request has been ignored. I am now disputing the charge with my credit card and going back to Lilly Silk.

I recently bought a set of Pjs for my wife. 8 days after ordering they arrived, When she opdned & tried the top on it was really baggy. Contacted company several times only reply was 10 day policy have 10$ off next order. Always thought asking for a credit note & returns were from date of receipt & since this is internet shopping law is 14 days.

This company is a fraudulent company. First of all, they are posing on instagram as if they are located in Oregon, Portland USA. When in actuality they are located in China. Not to mention stringent and archaic rules when it comes to return/exchange. I placed my order on 02/15 and did not receive the item till March. My pants for the pajamas were too tight, i asked if i could exchange just the pants and keep the top. They refused saying i have to pay to get a mixed order, i said okay. Fine, i will just get a size up in both top & bottom, that was another charge. Which i agreed to. I only found out there are actually located in china when it was time to return the package. That did not deter me nonetheless. I sent my package and it took a little over a month for the item to get to china considering Covid and how slow the post office works. Mind you, on their website it says i have 30days to return from the day the item got to me. This fraudulent company said i MUST ship the item by march 11th. Found that ridiculous but did it anyway. Only for the item to get to the company and i am being charged for stains and creases. Like how, I never wore the pajamas outside when i tried it on, additionally this item was in transit for a whole month, you don't expect for it to get wrinkled? Like be real. I actually paid USPS extra to treat the package as fragile but again i am not there to make sure that they do. So this company wants to charge an additional $90 for the pajamas. This is aside a $75 already have to pay for the exchange, making the total over $300. I never even asked for a refund, i always wanted an exchange because i really want the pajamas but at this point i honestly need a refund. Like its crazy. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY

I bought a silk nightgown for $140 back in February. When it arrived it looked great but after just two months of use it started splitting and tearing in many places. I have almost new LG washer and always use the most gentle mode to wash the nightgown. When I contacted ElleSilk with a complain they admitted that they had quality problem and corrected it recently by moving to the premium silk, however, they refused to replaced the item and offered $10 discount on the next purchase! What a scam!

If you need to exchange the item, or even return, you will have to send it back to China with the tracking number. And the shipong cost starts at $63 from California. It is ridiculous. They do not have a phone line for customer services too. Left aside that the product is not true to size. I have not washed it to know if it would shrink

Sadly I hadn't seen this page before purchasing from Elle Silk. They sent damaged sheets and refused to do anything about it - shocking, and rude customer service too! AVOID!

Truely awful. I can pretty much guarantee 0 positive reviews are genuine. This is because it is not just the size that is wrong with their sleepwear it is the cut. It has basically been thrown together so poorly, that no human being in existance would fit the shape of the clothes i just paid $200 form the model is 100% holding her arms in tight to her body to hide how much loose fabric sticks outb under the arms. One of the dearest garments i have bought and the worst quality garments at the same time. It feels extremely cheap.

Its a good job they offer 0 refund and make you pay packaging to China to get another pile of rubbish sent to u for your partners birthday.

I dont believe it is even silk. I will take it to an expert and if it is not silk i will spend my life getting them closed down.

I purchased a premium silk sheet set recently - washed as per instructions and when putting on the bottom sheet found a small tear in the sheet. Contacted them and they said it had to be my fault and besides because I have washed the item they will do nothing about the tear. I have washed my linen over 3000 times and never torn a thing - then all of a sudden I manage to tear and expensive silk sheet - not bloody likely.

Do not purchase ellesilk items as gifts because your recipient will have no idea of the unreasonable10-day return/exchange policy. I contacted ellesilk on January 16 after I received a nightwear item as a gift on Christmas Day that is too large. I asked to exchange but was told NO. Allowing a gift recipient to make an exchange would cost the company almost nothing and result in a satisfied customer. Instead, I now have a $100+ item that I can't wear. I think this is very poor customer service.

Ordered an item off this site well over a month ago with an expected delivery time of 5-7 business days. When it still had not arrived in 3 weeks I emailed the company and was advised to follow up with the courier direct, which I did and was given the run around by them. Went back to Ellesilk and explained my order was with them I wanted my product by end of week (when it was needed for a baby shower) or a refund. They told me I would have to "refuse the package" from the courier -- a package I still had no idea where it was. And then they would send it back to their warehouse (which is in China) and then they could refund me. I explained at that time it was too late for shower AND I was out of pocket for a package I am not even sure they sent. Helen who I spoke with was incredibly unhelpful and downright rude at times. I would not buy from them, delivery times stated are not accurate and there is no customer service if anything goes wrong. The package eventually showed up nearly 5 weeks later and at this stage it is incredibly battered..

I had the same experience as someone below - ordered silk pj's as a present, used their size guide. PJ's are way larger than their site indicates and they refuse to replace them with a smaller size, even though it's their fault.
Their site says things like '100% Risk Free Shopping' and 'full money-back guarantee' but their small print renders this meaningless
£90 down the drain - I won't ever use them again.

If I could give this shoddy company 0 stars I would. My silk nighties arrived, far too big, they're baggy and gaping under the arms and look nothing like the pictures on their website. The model is clearly holding her arms by her sides to disguise this fact. They won't refund my money but only exchange the items and to do this, and I have to pay to return them to China, and then pay for them to ship me a replacement. AVOID THESE SHYSTERS!

What I received did not match the custom measurements. It appears they do not make these for anyone taller than the model who they say is 5' 7" tall regardless of what your measurements are. Their return policy does not allow for returns for any custom items which is understandable if the item had been made to the custom measurements that were given to them. It also took them an extra week to send my express shipment, poorly made item. In their email they so thoughtfully stated while I could not return or exchange it for a size that fit, I was free to reorder it in another size and pay for another one of their poorly made, overpriced items. Needless to say I will waste no more time or money on Ellesilk.

Steer clear of this site - I bought a nightdress that looked dreadful on me - I assumed they would refund but no, apparently nightdresses are intimate apparel therefore only an exchange is possible, but you have to pay for postage back to china, and then pay again for postage for the replacement item. I tried to get them to be reasonable but they wouldn't. And then to cap it all I got a bill for £29 from DHL. Always check where goods are coming from when you order online - if its outside the UK they don't often refund returns like you have to in the UK, and the postage/customs is hideous.

I purchased a night shirt... it looked good upon receiving. However when worn it turns into a jumbled up mess. They don't take returns unless it;'s not been worn. Also, they will not allow my review on their site. I believe these good ratings are a scam on here, Very UNHAPPY with my purchase.

I ordered a king sized blanket to fit a king sized bed. I didn't measure my mattress to confirm that their king blanket would fit my king bed. This blanket is skimpy in weight and size. It barely covers the top of the mattress.

Their response was that they listed the blanket dimension and are sorry their king blanket does not fit my king bed; as if mine king sized bed is a different size than the rest of the king sized beds in America.

I can't say anything about the quality of the product cause I still haven't received it after 6 weeks. However I have been going through the great reviews on this and other websites and I noticed that most of the reviewers had reviewed the same 2 businesses. Ellesilk and inweddingdress.com. I wouldn't buy anything from a company that has to post fake reviews about themselves. I will definitely be more careful to watch out for such dishonesty in the future. Hopefully this review will help someone.

Product's okay, but got caught with an extra invoice from the shipper/importer for duty and VAT which was unexpected and which amounted to £24.18 for a £68.66 purchase price and which already included the shipping costs. An expensive buy, turned out to be more than Harrods!
