Everything is great about renting car from EconomyBookings. Exept that I didn't find anywhere an information about deposit for a car returning. I wasn't informed about it in car rent company as well. So now I don't know, when my money will be realesed and return into my credit card. I was given a check (photo) that deposit is realesed, but in fact I still don't have my money back.

EconomyBookings offers the so-called "Full Coverage" insurance. This is a fake insurance company. After 65 business days, no response to my claim! Only Boot Aleksandr responded to my previous opinion. If you are looking for insurance that fully covers your own contribution, do not waste your money on Full Coverage provided by BookingGroup. A much better choice is insurance from a trusted company or travel insurance that covers this type of expenses.

EconomyBookings offers the so-called "Full Coverage" insurance. This is a fake insurance company. After 65 business days, no response to my claim! Only Boot Aleksandr responded to my previous opinion. If you are looking for insurance that fully covers your own contribution, do not waste your money on Full Coverage provided by BookingGroup. A much better choice is insurance from a trusted company or travel insurance that covers this type of expenses.

EconomyBooking's full coverage isn't helping. It's been five months since the accident, and I still haven't received my money back. It's a good idea to go with the rental company's insurance directly instead of relying on Full Coverage.
Their response time is really slow, and there's no one I can contact to understand what's happening.

Do not use this company. I booked a rental 3 weeks in advance when I arrived to pick it up. I was told they had no vehicle for me and the only thing I could do was come out of my pocket to rent another vepickle. I have been waiting 3 weeks to get my money back. And every time I call I am told there is absolutely nothing I can do but wait. If you do not value your money or your time then by all means, use the economy bookings.com.
But I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

The refund policy is very unclear. I've been waiting almost a month to get my money back. And every time I call I am told there is nothing that can be done except wait.

Beware of preditory business practices. They tell you they will refund prepaid cancelled reservations, but in fact what happens is they do a "refund" to a "wallet" which you can draw from to pay another reservation with them made within two years. If you really want your money back you pay a 60€ fee. Even if you cancel within minutes and send a complaint to customer service. Caveat emptor! I've never experienced this kind of robbery on other reservation systems.

To say the least this business has the worst costumer service, the most unfair policies, the slackest system to communicate and overall I had one of the worst experience ever. If some was to steal my money on the street I would have felt better than giving away my money for no reason to this people. Growing a business out of everybody else expenses is not right. If you want to waste your money and never get an answer this business is you go.

They do not specify prior to confirming the booking that you will need a credit card on file as collateral. They only state it after you confirm the rental.
The service agent Ali also mentioned to me that they do not have any higher ups.
He referred me to contact the support center via email which takes 2-4 days to respond.
Don't waste your time using this place to book a rental. It is a complete scam

They do not have "Free Cancellation" as they claim -- you will be charged 60 Euros to refund the money back on your credit card. They do not adhere to their terms & conditions for the refund either as I was told that the 60 Euros applies per booking and not for the total amount that is held in the "E-Wallet" after you cancel. Their customer service is rotten and they have a F score on the BBB. I am awaiting for a class action lawsuit to be held against this company because they are absolutely horrible for consumers. Do NOT use!

EconomyBookings.com is a complete scam. Their customer service is unhelpful and dishonest. They sneakily charge you extra fees at the rental desk. Don't expect accountability from anyone on their customer service team, passed arround differrent employees who lie. Avoid EconomyBookings.com at all costs and opt for a reputable car rental service instead.

Scam! They will never accept your personal insurance and will charge you $100 deposit and $150 fee for supplemental insurance. Economy Bookings handles the booking and their phone calls an automated message board that only gives preprogrammed responses. Nanocarrentals charges the money. Green Motion covers the car rentals and forces the upcharges.

Tip for consumers:
Europe company is good. New York based company is a fraud!

I reserved a car at ATL for Christmas Eve the day before and even called Thrifty to see if it was legit, which they said it was, but when I went to pick up the car on time there were NO CARS! Deception! Do not use this dis-service.

On dec 16th we were supposed to pick up our car in Iceland at 15:00... the car had been rented the day an paid for the day before. At 15:22 we got an email saying the reservation was cancelled! We called them and we were told that "due to a technical error the booking had to be cancelled", no alternative given. This company is horrible, do not use.

I made a reservation for the wrong city by accident at 12:24 a.m. and cancelled it by email at 12:35 a.m., just 11 minutes later. After several polite requests, Customer Service refused to provide a refund or a credit for a future rental. Bad business practices... avoid at all costs.

Avoid this company at all cost! This has been by far my worst experience with a rental! I have been lied to by one of their agent who assured me that I won't have to pay for insurance if i was able to show a french driver's license. It was all a lie and I ended up paying 1000$. When i reported it to them they admitted lying and filed a case but this was more than a month ago... you cannot talk to anyone about the case and can only use emails to which they never answer. Avoid at all cost!

I used Priceline.com which reserved a rental car through Economic Booking for a Thrifty rental car. To pick up my car I still had to make the line for 1hr, plus I returned the rental 4 days early since my personal car was repaired in 2 days instead of the estimated 5 days. I was unable to get my refund after calling, and even emailing proof of receipt. I lost $120. Book directly with the car company. It's not worth the headache just to save $50. Trust.

I booked a 7 seater and when I arrived with my family to get the car they said they do not have such a car and they would give me 5 seater instead. Had an argument and ended up paying 1000 SAR extra to get a bigger car. Such an unethical service. I am looking to see how I can file official case against the company. Yelo says that europcar operates from outside Saudi and they have no control over them which I do not understand why it is a customer's issue

I've made a booking with insurance through these guys before the pandemic and they will accept that I'm entitled a refund of £700+ yet they have not provide 1 penny and not intending on doing that any time soon. They provide a voucher, but who would in their senses book anything with them again when they won't satisfy/honour the customer's rights with an acceptable policy?!?!?!? STAY AWAY unless you're ready to throw away your money.

Be warned about this Riga, Latvia-based rental company; their operations reek of sketchiness. They're masters at cornering you into paying for redundant insurance you likely don't need, exploiting any personal or credit card coverage you already have. Their guidance? Simply avoid it! They only operate Mon - Fri, we called and emailed them on Sunday and due to the outside of working hours excuse, they dragged us into the 48 hours cancellation policy and this is how the chaos begin. They don't respond to you until 3 days later and simply saying they are sorry but nothing they can offer and not refunding us the full 13 nights of cost. Even we supplied them with all the email correspondence with actual time, they still ignore the fact and kept saying it's inside 48 hours and there is absolutely nothing they can do about it. Very frustrating experience and don't be fooled because of their cheap price advisement on website, you will end up losing more money and we just lost 2100 AUD for nothing. Stay away and run, there are many more website offers 24/7 services.

I booked a vehicle in February 2020 for use in Sept 2020. I paid in full upfront. Then cancelled in June because of COVID. Economy Bookings then emailed me saying they will only issue a voucher refund. I'm a senior, and I doubt I will ever be able to use it within the two years it is good for. All I want is my money back.

Cancelled my policy when it was free. They've since now said they will be charging me a fee and paying back my money minus cancellation fee within 90 days.

We're now 100 days plus and I've received nothing still.
That they're clearly putting false positive reviews on here is infuriating AVOID THIS SCAM COMPANY

On Kayak, Skyscanner and their own website, they offer "Free Cancellation" with no asterisk, fine print or direction elsewhere but apparently it is not free cancellation. If you cancel, they do not refund your money but put your money into a "Credit Wallet" that can only be used on their site for future bookings. When I noticed this new policy that they email you AFTER you pay, I immediately requested to cancel my reservation and get a refund. After several emails and calls to customer service, I was emailed cancellation/refund instructions but after I followed those I was charged $67 for a refund! How is this free cancellation? It's not, it's false advertising. Disputing with my credit card company but Booking Group (which is not part of Booking Holdings like I thought) is justifying their scheme by hiding the fees in arbitrary sections of their terms and conditions, which are intentionally place next to the car rental provider's logo in order to make it appear as if it's the actual rental car company's terms and not EconomyBookings' own terms. Very dishonest company, avoid!

Tip for consumers:
I have used this company several times for rental cars within the last 3 years without issue. They used to have a great cancellation/refund policy but now they are just scamming customers. Probably still fine if you don't cancel.

Doesn't let you change your pick up or drop off time once booked. They ask you to cancel for credit that expires. There is no 'money back garante' as they invalidate it in the small print.

Very long and ridiculous story short I paid them a deposit for a rental I was needing for my son's birthday trip. The day of I got to address of booking and it doesn't exist the car rental shut down over 2 years ago I call them they give me the run around. Won't help or refund said I have to email cause that department has no phone like what... in the end of there month long investigation they pull out there a-- I was late or didn't show to pick up car so I don't get refund. I didn't show to business that no longer exist... who did they get this info that i didn't get car in time cause the place was long gone. I had to play double for a last minute rental was late checking in to Beach House for sons birthday and they didn't care to make anything right, only lie like they talked to someone at a non existent business. A disgusting company that I hope soon get what they dish out steer clear of them
