“Selling on ebid”

Richard F.
7/29/22

On ebid for 1 week as a seller. 13 listings. About 18 views on each listing, no sales. This site has great potential for sellers and buyers due to the very low cost compared to the gouging we take on others. I offer much better prices on Ebid due to lower cost. Test Google Search results And my products showed up first page. All sellers should give this a try just don't start on Ebid due to low traffic for now. They are a little difficult to navigate and need to improve this.

“They close life time subscriptions for no reason, its a scam site”

Simon c.
3/16/24

They close lifetime subscriptions for no reason, it's a scam site. They charged me £49 for a lifetime subscription then they suspended it and asked for my driving licence, and proof of address, so I sent them the front and back of my driving licence and a bank statement that was just over 1 month old. Then they kept on asking me for different paperwork until they asked for one I couldn't produce because I'm not the homeowner. ONE BIG SCAM keep clear eBay has 100 times more traffic even in 2024

They have no idea what they are doing, they send a load of emails for the same thing, I'm now done with them, they have lost a customer and a supporter I will no longer praise this company, I had my account for years and years and out the blue, they suspended it and asked for my details driving licence etc that I gave them, and now they want a utility bill that I do not have as I'm not the owner or the renter of a home. It's easier to just walk away.

I get my account banned for no reasons. I haven't done any violations and the next day they don't allow me to login. I tried contacting them about the issue and I get zero response! I have made several accounts in the past and they all shared the same fate. Registering isn't even functional, alot of times they claim to send confirmation email but they don't. Janky website with terrible service! Don't waste your time with it!

Sorry E-Bid pals today I decided to switch back to e-bay after nearly a year of trying to sell my stuff on E-bid, nothing moved seems like either no-one see it or perhaps no one trust or know this web site. I have to admit that e-bid website is a lot easier and more user friendly to add stuff but what is a point if stuff is not selling. I even paid a premium price for a year to have maximum visibility, lost money on it.
Sorry to say but I do not recommend e-bid again feel bad for those guys but this is a truth.

So I've made 20 successful bids with no complications and fast payment to all sellers. Then out of the blue Ebid are again harassing me by closing down my account and asking for proof of identification, passport, driving license etc before they reinstate it. I really don't feel comfortable sending this company my documents and I don't believe this is something they should be requesting but I did so anyway. I mean what choice did I have? So it's been 24 hrs since I uploaded my documents and have heard nothing back. I think their customer service towards loyal customers is atrocious.

Tip for consumers:
Stay clear of ebid if you can help it.

Accusing customers of shill bidding
November 17th, 2021
• Previous review

When it came to bidding on ebid they kept accusing me of shill bidding and insisted I knew the seller and closed my account!. This was never the case and I reassured them I didn't know any of the sellers on their platform, however they kept insisting I knew the seller. I had built up a number of buddy points that I wanted to use to purchase products with. They effectively stole my buddy points from me when they closed my account. The ebid police try to make it as hard as possible for buyers to keep their accounts open and make purchases. I would give them 0 stars if I could.

Tip for consumers:
It is a job in itself keeping an ebid account open. I would have to say it is more hassle than it's worth. However they were selling collectables that not many other sites sell. If you can get a product elsewhere I would seriously recommend you do.

Beware of this site! It is a scam! They will bill you at the end of every month even if you don't sell anything. They refuse to delete your account or personal information (have requested four times already). BEWARE IT IS A SCAM SITE

Overly complicated listing system.

No sales, no views, waste of time as a seller. Promotions? Lifetime sub? Forget it.

As a buyer the payment system is very strange and hard to navigate. Why does one have to check paypal and the purchase several times, add extra details and then check again? Why would anyone bother? This is the answer as to why this place will never take off.

It doesn't deserve to. It only rakes in sub fees from sellers who are fed up with other platforms, nothing but a scam with outdated design.

I have listed a total of 225 items on ebid, i also bought the seller+ option. What a mistake, not made one single sale. I contact ebid and was told am not selling it properly! And wont refund me the sellers+ money.
Well i decided to sell those same items on ebay the exact same format and guess what, yip so far ive sold 53 items in one month. Ebid do not market there website, they make there money conning people and selling advertising.

Tip for consumers:

Very low fee's on eBid because you will never get a sale!
150 listings and the only feedback i have had is from making purchases myself.
If you post to various social media accounts... You will get auto generated views that must come from eBid, because if you post same items from other sites you will receive a view or two but every time posting from this auction site you will get 8,10 or 12 views without failure! If you are thinking that i may be stretching the truth... Just visit any one of my listings because you will see that i have over 400 views to some of my items. Overall i am very disgusted!

Signed up for lifetime. Figured even if I sold nothing it would spread my name on the search engines... Nope, does not even do that, they are so far down on google and others as to not even make a ripple. Listed about 30/40 good selling items that sell daily on my site and ebay and I have yet to sell one thing. Saw a message about poor sales and needing more listings a month or so ago saying they would kick me off... I figured BFD... Now they are sending me bills for 67 cents and sh*... Laughable company. They did find a niche though, screw people by charging so little that people just write it off as a bad decision... I actually forgot I was on there, total waste of time and money... All that being said, if you have 50 bucks to waste you might as well waste it on ebid.

Ebid has no place for customers to report fraud.
I bought Baratza encore coffee grinder on Sept. 13 of 2021, a few days later I suspected that the seller is a fraud and I emailed him, few hours later I received an ebid notice that that auction had been closed on August 28. Though the seller continues to sell till Sept 13th.
The seller had disappeared from ebid page.
I can't understand how that happened.
It seems that ebid is just interested in getting seller fees to start selling and care less about nothing else.
I will get the money from Paypal.
I will never buy anything else on ebid.
It is another fraud.

Tip for consumers:
Don't use ebid.net site.
No buyer protection or any kind of guarantees.

EBID.NET are FILTHY SCAMMERS. Yes, they are FILTHY SCAMMERS. Why? I paid 50 EURO to become a PLATINUM LIFETIME seller. It means, that I paid 50 EURO to sell whatever I want and to write whatever I want on Ebid. I paid for this priviledge, it is my right. If I want to write on Ebid that Obama is the N-word it is my right to do so. I paid 50 Euro, I bought this FREEDOM OF SPEECH. It does not mean I intend to SCAM buyers. I'm sorry, Sir, we're currently out of Cocaine and HARDCORE kidporn but I will report you to the OFFICIAL LEGAL authorities in your country and I hope they will lock you up for a while because it is my right to report you. Now EBID requires to provide documents and other $#*! to prove my identity. The answer is NO. I do not need to provide any documents because I already bought the right to sell and write anything I want by paying 50 Euro for a PLATINUM LIFETIME subscription.

This Company sells copper wind spinners similar to what Stanwood sells. Bought one from Stanwood (more expensive) & one from Victoria Habour about two years ago on Ebay. After a few months, one of the leaves on the Victoria one fell off. I asked to return it; they sent a special copper glue. That held for a while, then the leaf fell off again. Also several stems attached to the center circular piece came loose & wobbled. Contacted Victoria & they said to use the glue. Told them it did not hold. They would not replace the side, so I offered to buy one entire side. They would only sell me a new complete spinner for around $200. This company is no longer on Ebay & is now on Ebid due to poor customer feedback?. My advice is to spend the extra dollars & get one that will last from Stanwood.

I'm not sure how e-Bid won any awards. I've been with them over 9-yrs, purchased the lifetime membership, deleted and reposted my items. NOT ONE SINGLE SALE. My items sell on all other website and not a sale on e-Bid. I lowered my price by 50% and still no sales.
I'm better off paying the fees on other sites than wasting my time loading items on e-Bid. I would not recommend this site to anyone. Wasted hours for nothing. NOT A GOOD ROI

This is total scam, criminal company - after Paid for Seller lifetime membership - them suspended my account 3 days ago without any explanation and refund - only received a vague e-mail say: "you account dont accepted"?
Until today no any refund or compensation - we open a legal claim in the Court about this discrimination, criminal company! Save you time and money and avoid the Ebid.net at all cost! This is scam, rip off company...
