BAD SERVICE EASTWOOD COMPANY

BUYER BEWARE! DON'T USE THIS COMPANY.
Eastwood has customer service people who are completely unable to call their finance people to resolve a problem they created. I ordered a 3 in 1 Shear, Brake and Roller Combo. I got a quote and had a funding company do the financing for me. I am working with several companies for purchases thru the same finance company. Eastwood was supposed to do an ACH Funding Transfer. They would have had the money a week ago. My finance representative tried to contact Eastwood on multiple occasions to get paid for my order. So the finance company had to send a check instead because Eastwood wouldn't cooperate and send the form back because they are disorganized. It took a week until today, Thursday and several calls from me to finally confirm payment, at 3:38 in the afternoon. I asked them when they can ship my tool. They said they need to deposit the check into the bank in which they said they only do once a week on Thursdays. I asked the customer service person if it was deposited today or am I going to have to wait another week for them to deposit the check and how long till they would clear a check from a major funding company and a cashiers check. They couldn't answer me. I asked to speak to the finance people. They said we can't call them. I asked her to call them and I would wait. She said she can't do it. How ridiculous is it that the customer service people can't even do direct contact within their company. Really stupid! I went on to read some of the thousands of reviews by others and they always reply and blame everything it on the holidays. Never accept there own ignorance for it. I WOULD SUGGEST YOU LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR WHAT YOU NEED. THIS COMPANY IS TOTALLY LACKING CUSTOMER INTEGRITY. I WONDER WHO THE CEO IS. THEY SHOULD KNOW HOW BADLY THEY LACK COORDINATION WITHIN THE COMPANY. I'M PERSONALLY GOING TO SUGGEST TO THE FUNDING PEOPLE TO STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY. ALL THE OTHER COMPANIES FUNDED LAST WEEK AND SENT THEIR PRODUCTS TO ME. EASTWOOD WHO KNOWS. MAYBE NEED TO CANCEL MY ORDER SINCE THEY ARE SO MESSED UP AND CAN'T EVEN GIVE ME A STRAIGHT ANSWER. OR COURSE THAT'S BECAUSE THEY CAN'T COMMUNICATE WITHIN THEIR COMPANY.
AND EASTWOOD IF YOU RESPOND, TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS. I DON'T WANT YOU TO PLAY THE BLAME GAME LIKE YOU ALWAYS DO!

Tip for consumers:

I don't trust this company after what they have done to me. Myself and my funding company has made several attempts to pay them using standard ACH funding. They were the only company that failed to do this. Even though they sue this payment process everyday. They got a check a week later,they not have no idea when they can send my product or when the check will even be deposited since they only that once a week on Thursdays, of course the day the told me the check arrived.

I do not recommend Eastwood

This is along post but I feel it is necessary for people to understand the type of company Eastwood is.

I do not recommend Eastwood, I have purchased some items from them with no issue but I recently purchased a motor from them that they were selling for ATK. I watched the motor for about a month and then decided to make the purchase. After about two weeks I contacted Eastwood to check on the status and was told by a rude Customer Service rep that I would have to call ATK to find out because he can't tell me that information. I contacted ATK and the first thing the person said was I want you to know that you probably are thinking that you bought a fully dressed motor but that's incorrect. He stated that Eastwood was advertising a motor that was incorrect on the price. They were showing a fully dressed motor but in reality it was a short block motor and would cost a 1,000 more to get the fully dressed one. He told me that he had had numerous calls about this and that he had contacted Eastwood himself but they hadn't changed anything. I immediately called Eastwood and they said they would have someone call me in 48 hours. I never got a phone call and called Eastwood myself 3 days later. I was told they were sorry and what do I want to do. I advised the Rep that I wanted to cancel the item. They hadn't charged my card yet and that I would purchase a motor somewhere else. The Rep said ok she was sending out the cancellation. The next day Eastwood charged my card for the full price and I received an email stating that they will get with a shipping company to pick up the motor. I called them back and asked about the charge and they stated that the order couldn't be canceled. They said they will get my money back in 72 hours. I replied to the email stating that I did not have the motor that I have never received it or any shipping information on it. A week later I called back to check on refund and was told that the motor was being delivered today. I advised them I didn't want the motor and they said to refuse delivery. The delivery was refused but refund wasn't given. Called back again and spoke to manager because Reggie never seemed to be in the office and only emailed people. The manager said they couldn't refund money until ATK gave them credit a memo back. But they should get it in a couple of days and that they were working hard and rushing it to get my refund. A couple of days later I emailed Reggie again and finally got a response that he received the credit memo and my funds would be credited to my card. I replied asking for a timeline and never received an email back. A week later I contacted them again and the Customer Rep stated they were waiting on a credit memo from ATK. I advised her that I already had confirmation that they received it and I asked to speak to Reggie. Reggie couldn't take phone call so I spoke to a manager and explained it all to her again that I bought a motor from them under false advertisement/representation and they charged my card for an item I never received. I advised her that it has now been over a month since purchase of item and 23 days since I cancelled the order. She said she would get the credit to my card today and would call me back later today. Never received a phone call from Laura the manager or received my refund. Called Eastwood again asked to speak to Laura who was on the phone. I then asked to speak to Reggie, he wasn't available again. The rep told me they were waiting for the Credit Memo from ATK, I advised her that I was told they already had it. She said ok I'm not really sure I will have Laura call you when she can. Laura never returned c all so I then called back. I was told Laura was busy and so was Reggie. Rep then said hold on I can transfer you to Laura. Rep came back and Laura was on phone.
She said she will have Reggie contact me tomorrow. I never heard back from anyone, and tried contacting Eastwood for the next couple of days but hold times were over an hour. Finally on Friday I got ahold of the Manager Candy. She stated that the only person who could refund my money was out on vacation until Monday. She stated that she would try to get IT to release the funds and would email me back about it. I asked her to please email or contact me on Monday to keep me in the loop and to see if the lady would be back to refund my account. She said she was leaving herself a note and would talk to me on Monday. Monday came and went and I never received an email or phone call. Tuesday I called Eastwood back asked the Rep if I could speak to Candy. She advised me she was out today and she would try to help me. She then stated that the credit was issued yesterday and should see it on my account soon.

This company does not care about its customers. They falsely advertised an item (whether intentional or not) and would not stand up and own it or to take care of the customer. The correct thing to do would have been to refund the money immediately and then they could wait for the credit memo from ATK. I was advised by a manager that all calls were recorded and Reps make notes, but every time I called I had to explain the whole issue again to each person. I understand that mistakes happen but mistakes should be resolved, and not at the customers expense. I haven't seen the credit to my account yet but was told it was issued and could take up to 72 hours. This whole process since the day I called to cancel order until time they advised that refund was issued was 30 days. This is not how customers should be treated. I hope that this review will help others when purchasing from Eastwood. Please use caution I honestly don't feel that all items are handled this way but definitely if you order a 3rd party product from them. However whether the item was a third party item or an Eastwood product when you purchase and item from a company they should honor all customers the same and strive to have the best customer service and put customers first.

Here we go,
Ordered the welder on Tuesday 9/11,
Was surprised it was sitting out in my driveway when I came home on Friday evening 9/14, thought wow that was fast, hardly had time to anticipate my new toy.
The smaller of the two boxes it came in was pretty damaged I took pictures of the Box in case there was any problems.
Went out to the toy box Saturday morning to open the boxes I was totally amazed at how well packed everything was there was no damage to the contents of the smaller box due to the way it was packaged, again I'll say very well packaged. Probably didn't take me 45 minutes to put the thing together and plug it in maybe even a little less if you consider I had to take the time to look at everything that was sent. Okay, ready to give it a shot,
I bought a old equipment trailer tri axle last summer for 500 bucks all stripped down no fenders no electrical no ramps nice project to work on in my spare time. I had a century 170 wire feed it took a dump in the middle of working on the second ramp. Took it into my local weld shop they had it for 2 weeks told me it wasn't worth fixing. So off I went hunting for a new welder, thought I would upgrade a little bit was amazed at the prices had my Centry for 20 years, so here we are blah blah blah ready to weld with my new Eastwood mp250i sounds impressive great price lol,
So I threw to scrap pieces of 10 gauge in the bench vice looked inside the wire feed door for the settings on the chart I think it's the first time I've ever done that my centry had a similar chart but I don't think I ever looked at it. Hooked up the ground cable put on my mask and put that Mig torch to the metal burn right through that sucker tweaked the settings down a little bit and tried it again Welded that 10-gauge very nice. Worked out there about 2 or 3 hours and finished up the second ramp. Went back out Monday yesterday and welded on the almost half inch thick hinge brackets for the ramps on the back of the trailer, had a hard time getting the settings right for that but it was more due to my lack of experience as a welder on a vertical weld but once I figured it out it welded pretty damn nice.
So anyway, that's where we are now I must say I am very pleased with this machine so far, definitely quite an upgrade from my old machine. At this point, time will tell. Hopefully I will never have to try out the warranty, and if anything changes I will update,
And like I said in my first review, I gave Eastwood a shot and they came through. So far so good...

Eastwood is unreliable and unprofessional

I wish I would have done my homework on Eastwood and researched their reviews. First off they sent me a wrong part, then didnt make the 2day shipping. After having to reschedule with the client, i found the hvlp sprayer i had ordered was assembled so poorly and tightly I could not remove the nozzel it was shipped with. Later i was told this was a known issue with this model... then why recommend it too me as a better option to buy?! Eastwood reshipped another identical model to arrive late again, and with the exact same issue. Finally when i returned the second hvlp sprayer somehow the label eastwood sent and/or fed ex shipps it to the wrong return address multiple states off! Customer service says to expect my full refund by tues... its wed night and no refund. Honestly i have never dealt with staff so ignorant of their own products, or so inept at every step of the business process. Lack of product knowledge, shipping procedures returns and refunds. Errors and without attention to details. Either they openly lie to your face or they are the most unprofessional people, without the most basic knowledge needed for a company to exist. I will post this review everywhere I can. Eastwood is a poor company to do business with, they have cost me $1200+ out of pocket on this job. Nothing worse than being nice but having absolutely zero knowledge pertaining to their products and policies. Buyer beware! This company has terrible employess and service.
Its now thursday, and I recieved an email from Eastwood customer service. Although i gave the tracking number fed ex provided to several employees throughout this process, the email inferred the trackibg order they provided with the label eastwood sent is not found... ya i KNOW! Thats why i gave u the tracking number fed ex provided. Not my fault they sent this to macon, ga. I gave them the info eastwood provided with their return label. Basically no one knows whats going on internally at eastwood. Im going to call today and work my way up their company chain of command until this is resolved. Ill update whats happens after today. Just when u think customer service cant get worse, eastwood finds a way.
