I am starting to think that EA are just scammers really.
I bought FC 24, maybe 90$ or so. It is my mistake, considering all the issues I had with their anticheat for Fifa 23, but how stupid was I to think they would've solved the issue for Fifa 24. Not only they haven't, but the problem is even worse.
I did manage to play 8 hrs of FC24 while using the troubleshooting I was using for FIFA23 but then it stopped working.
So I tried all the solutions I could find on Google and one the website, I spent 10 hours trying to solve the error of EA anticheat (hence more than my time spend playing^^).
Having more than enough to try endless procedures I tried to contact EA to get a refund, as they basically sold me a game that is not playable. I managed to start an online chat with them. The agent categorically refused to refund me the game because 'he didn't have the refund button'. I asked him to redirect me to someone who does have that button. Instead of what he gave me another pointless troubleshoot procedure and as I had to restart the PC I had to leave the chat. He conlcuded saying that he was sure that the solution would work.
It obviously didn't.
And what was my surprise when I tried to contact them again. The option to chat online or send them an email was not available anymore...
I tried to post a message (a little bit bitter to be honest) on EA forum to ask for a refund. An EA community manager sent me a link to an EA page basically telling me that I was legally not allowed a refund.
I feel like even this is untrue. Because I cannot play their game anymore, even if at first I did manage to launch it; and the fact that it is unplayable is because of their bad software; they are just not respecting the very basic standard of selling a game that is playable.
My request for a refund is more than reasonable, I spent 90$ for a game that just sleeps on my computer without me being able to play it.
Even the hours I spent trying to solve the issue are not normal.
I take the time to write this review and I will try to put it on as many websites as possible in the hope that maybe people do not make the same mistake as me, giving their money for a dishonest and unprofessional company not even capable of delivering functional softwares.

EA games destroyed several of my hard drives with a mock version of windows that was implanted due to malice. It all started 8 months ago when I downloaded the EA App. They first started downloading apps during gameplay, and then when I deleted the apps, they added malware, and highjacked my entire internet through remote access files, Bluetooth, hyperv, excessive camera files, drivers and thousands of files that were not windows all for spying purposes. They deleted my entire windows features and used their mock version of windows. When I complained to help desk I received auto messages. EA games uses several host files and controllers to access, destroy and implant information on my pc. They are using servers, and fictitious services implanted on windows 10 and 11. When I reset windows or download windows from usb or cd, they delete authentic windows files including search bar annd Microsoft store, and implant theirs upon start up. They are constantly changing permissions and adding app extensions and files during gameplay. They have deleted my ssl certificate so I can't upload any spyware programs. They have destroyed my bios and deleted factory files. They have altered my spyware program and added their fictitious files so their criminal activity can go undetected. They have destroyed audio by deleting sound and altering the registry. They have vandalized several of my PC's through their sata controller. I have alerted authorities about their criminal internet highjacking technique as well. I am so appalled that a company can destroy all of my computers tied to my home network. They have destroyed our internet service and have basically blocked our access to the internet of any kind via internet. This is reprehensible and they should be arrested for this criminal internet intrusion and destruction of my property. This destruction has caused us thousands of dollars in costs and list business opportunities. I changed the modem several times and they are still harassing us through their servers.

EA overcharged my card and when I filed a dispute to get my funds back they banned my account without any form of communication or fair judgment - 100s of dollars worth of Sims 4 games and a 6+ year old account of me and my baby sister is gone as a result of their one-sided policies.
1. The game itself is full of bugs. Glitches and things that are so simple and should have been repaired while in the development.
*Basic things such as your sim not changing their clothing to warm when it is cold outside. As a result a bunch of Sims that are out of your control end up dying and you have to bury them.
*The Sims interaction with the other Sims is not intuitive. For example if you ask somebody to go on a date they are going to be all over the place interacting with other Sims and even when you try to converse with them to spend time together - they will be roaming around and leaving as they please.
They have a forum dedicated to fixing bugs and issues and it's the player that is doing all of these things not electronic arts.
So the question is what are we paying for exactly?
It feels like the player is paying the game to fix the game for them.
*They do not have a dedicated customer support line. So if you having issues with your account like I am now there is no way to call them. You will be emailed by their customer support team who are completely unprofessional.
I have sent them a paragraph about what was going on with my issue and when I got a response they were speaking about something completely different.
Please tell me since when is it that the company that charges you $40 per game all of a sudden does not have a direct customer service technical support line?
Once again it seems one-sided - the customer is not being honored or respected here at all and our basic consumer needs are not met.
*They make it illegal for you to sell the games that you've purchased digitally. It says so in their terms of agreement that even though you paid for the games you are not allowed to trade or sell them - that is a violation of free rights and you consumer rights. As a paying customer you own these games and you have every right to decide what to do with them.
* When you pay for something - you become the owner of your possession correct? Well not according to EA games. In their self-created book of rules the customer has no right to trade or digital games they purchased even though they own them. This type of enforced codependency strips people of the right to their games so that people only buy from EA Games and not from each other.
*They have given themselves the authority to ban your account however they see fit. Yes the account that you spend hundreds of dollars on can be taken away from you just like that if they wish so right or wrong.
I was overcharged when I purchased six expansion packs - two bundles from them just a couple of weeks ago before the holidays. My PayPal account showed three charges instead of two so I filed a dispute which was successful and I got my money back. But on the next day I'm getting a band notification from electronic Arts on the grounds that I have filed a reverse charge on my account.
A technical support agent SHOULD HAVE BEEN assigned to my case to give me a call and speak to me and find out what really is going on and how they can help.
I think a class action lawsuit is coming to them.
The way they run business is one-sided with corrupt policies that hurt players.
Don't give them your money - you will not OWN your digital games fully due to their faulty and convenient for them policies.
