January 29th I ordered mattress and on February 13 mattress was delivered.
March 22nd I complained to Dynasty about pilling that had developed on the fabric covering the mattress. It is uncomfortable and irritating to sleep on and getting worse by the week.
March 26 A Dynasty customer service representative, Jonathan apologized for the problem which seemed to suggest that they were aware of the problem. He promised to send me a mattress cover, asked for size needed and mailing address.
I sent back the information and he emailed "All set".
April 15th By this time I had not received the mattress cover and no further word from Jonathan so I asked for an update.
April 30th Cherry (Dynasty new customer service representative) who sent me said they wouldn't do anything about the problem. She did not offer any compensation to fix the problem; just said they don't carry mattress covers and they don't ship to Hawaii.
The fabric on my first Dynasty mattress was a bamboo fabric, and that was a large part of the reason for buying another dynasty mattress, saving the earth as well as the comfort and durability of the bamboo fabric. I had that Dynasty mattress for almost 10 years and had to leave it when I moved to Maui. There was never any pilling on that fabric after all that time. I trusted Dynasty would continue that same quality of future products.
Because Cherry seemed to think I had ordered only a mattress cover which they did not carry anymore and did not seem to understand what the problem was, I emailed her back that it was the actual fabric that covered their foam mattress that was the problem. The replacement mattress cover was supposed to cover the pilling of their fabric on this new mattress and mitigate the bumpy surface. If they did not rectify the problem I would have to spend about $40 for a thick enough cover. I did not receive a reply from Cherry.
My sheets don't fit anymore because the new pillow top mattress cover which is thick enough to cover the pilling makes them too tight to fit over the last corner.
I had several weeks to return the mattress to Amazon and Dynasty, but because the mattress comes compressed in a box it is difficult to return and I suppose they count on that. Also for environmental reasons this seems a bad solution when they could have compensated me for a mattress cover. I would not trust Dynasty again because of their choice of fabric and their lack of willingness to correct an obvious problem with their product. Their advertisements dwell on comfort, but that is not completely true and, for the price, it doesn't make sense for anyone to buy this mattress when there are so many other options available. I have added a photo but because it is white on white it is difficult to see. Sleeping on it is another matter. The purchase is verified in the review I posted on Amazon.
