I purchased a prom dress for my daughter online from this company. The dress was tailored (as I provided actual measurements) and as it was a rush order I paid an additional premium rate plus p&p. When the dress arrived it looked nothing like the one on the website. Detail beading which was suppose to be on the dress was replaced by a satin sash which was tacked on with three stitches. The dress also did not fit (way too big). I emailed customer service and got a prompt response asking me to find a local tailor to fix the dress (at cost to me). I sent pictures of the dress with my daughter wearing it and close ups of the cheap statin sash tacked on. I asked for a refund in numerous emails but to no avail. Just like the previous review I mistakingly thought the company was based in the UK. Still threats of legal action did nothing. They have my hard earned money and I'm stuck with a dress my daughter hates (and never wore to her prom). PLEASE DONT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY. If you do and have a problem with the item THERE IS NO REDRESS AND NO ONE AT DYLAN CARES!
I ordered 2 prom dresses from this company - having read on the order page that they had an easy return policy. Both dresses arrived on the date but they are both very bad quality and not what I was expecting. I therefore contacted the company and the following was their reply:

The sizing was no where near. When you contact them they are unhelpful and unwilling to exchange or refund.

I found a lovely picture of a red lace prom dress and decided to look further into it. There was only 1 picture which was of the back of the dress and shown no picture of the front. On the the description it said it was v-neck but it has also said that you could alter it. I immediately fell in love with this dress so I ordered it asking for an adjustment on the front so that it covered me up to my neck. The dress had arrived weeks later. I had opened the packaging to find that the dress was not lace like it said on the description and no adjustments had been made on the front. So I had looked on the website and it said that you could send it back if no adjustments had been made. I began to get angry with the customer service as it was appalling they understood every word I said until I asked to return the dress. Then I needed up speaking to 9 different people. As they are from china I began to panic because I thought I was about to get ripped off. I asked and asked for return slips and then they had said 'keep the dress we will give you 20% of the money back'. I immediately said that it was on there website that's this dress was fully refundable and if they do not give me the full money back I will take it further. But them being in China they knew that this was impossible. I will never ever recommend this website because I still have no money off them. I have sold the dress for not even half the price I bought it for which was £130. Now I am not attending my prom due to the horrible customer service that Dylan Queen have.
NEVER EVER BUY OFF HERE. They are unreliable and I will keep writing reviews until that company gets shut down.

I ordered a wedding dress from Dylan Queen 4 weeks ago now. I received my dress 2 weeks ago and proceeded to try it on. However, the dress could not even do up! I am a UK size 12 so I ordered a UK size 14 standard size and I DID NOT measure myself to my exact measurements. However I did measure myself before I chose that size. My measurements are those of a size 12 wedding dress so I went for the 14 to be sure.
I also bought another dress a few weeks prior to that from another size and bought the same size which had the same measurements. That dress was slightly too big so I would have room to get it altered, however I didn't think it suited me which is why I ordered another dress from Dylan Queen.
Another thing was when I took the dress out of the bag it arrived in there is a huge stain on the bottom of the dress. Sort of like a tea stain (that on a white dress is not a good look!). Also the stitching was already coming out!
After all this I emailed them and said I wasn't happy as it was stained, the measurements were completely wrong and the stitching was coming out so I wanted to return for a full refund as the dress to me was damaged. They replied and said there was no measurement error, the dress was in perfect condition so they would not accept a return or give me a refund.
I then proceeded to email them back (I'm still emailing them now 10 days later!) And say how their policy states damaged dresses can be returned for a full refund etc. They just keep emailing me back and saying I have to go and get the stain removed myself, I mean what's the point when it doesn't even fit?! On other occasions someone has emailed me back and said if I was to return I'd have to pay the most expensive return option and I'd be liable to pay for the missing dress as they apparently usually go 'missing in the post'.
Since then they have been telling me there are no problems and I cannot return. I've told them I would contact trading standards and they don't seem phased by that at all.
These are scampers and DO NOT accept returns no matter what your circumstances! Do not buy! £160 wasted on a piece of s**t!

I purchased 3 gorgeous dresses well they looked gorgeous in the pictures. When they arrived they were squeezed into this tiny parcel bag.
When looking at the dresses the material was so poor and the fit was even worse. I purchased size 8 dresses which are normally a perfect fit. These outfits where super loose on the hips and thighs (i have a curvy figure so i'm hippy). All 3 were the same and they were also super long. I did consider having them tailored here but having them chopped off from the bottom would have ruined the style of the dresses so that wasnt an option. It does state on their site if you are not happy with the items you will be given a refund. So i packed the items and spend £75 having the delivered back to China. I wasnt even aware that the company was based in China as they have a. co.uk site.
I posted them to the sender address details which was on the original package i received. I sent an email to the company stating that i have returned the items etc i was told that i would not get a refund as this was not authroised and that the address i sent them to is incorrect. So whos address are they using on the senders details. This is of great concern why arent they being honest and using their own address. What is the grounds of return approval? Im not happy with the quality of the items and the fit is all wrong. So now i am out of pocket £350 for the dresses and £75 on the delivery charges.
In the UK we have amazing companies that sell amazing dresses. This company is not UK based although they use a. co.uk address. So please do not purchase from this site lets try our best to ensure this company does not ever trade in the UK again

It took three weeks to arrived, money taken the day I ordered.the dress arrived screwed up in a small bag inside out, seams fraying at the front of the dress, stains on the dress and a small hole at the back of the dress.
I contacted them the day I received it, they asked for pictures, I emailed them over the same day, they offered me evenually 10% off which is only £10 and asked me to take it to a shop to get it fixed... I'm am absolutely fuming that they have taken my money and are only offering me £10 to fix it, it should be a size 12 it's more like a size 8. I have spoken to two different people first one when I asked for a full refund never bothered replying the second one said they are minor faults so 10% is the highest they can offer

My mother in law bought a dress for a wedding and the size was completely wrong ( even though she bought it based on the measurements and went up a size to be on the safe side) and they refused to return it. It was obvious that it was made poorly but they refused to return or exchange it. The dress was also very cheap looking, nothing like the website. They're a complete fraud. I reported them and my mother in law filed a complaint with her credit card company to get her money back. Definitely do yourself a favor and stay away from these people.
