Don't believe all the positive reviews on Trustpilot as they're probably all fabricated... Buyer BEWARE! On Dec 1st, my wife ordered a $800 package from those guys and opted to cancel on the very next day which should have been an automatic full refund according to their terms. Fast forward a month and a half, several calls, live chat, false "We'll process it next week" promises, emails and they won't refund us the money. Shady company.

I got the basic website package. The work that was provided was of really low quality.

The first time I requested a refund, they told me a hadn't given them a fair chance. So I tried to provide feedback and make the most of the situation.

After a few rounds of feedback, I did not see notable improvements in the work, and even saw it moving backwards.

The second time I requested a refund, I was denied once more because I had gone through multiple rounds of feedback. Read that again.

I was then told that because of my price tier, I shouldn't have expected excellent quality work.

The retention specialist offered me a max refund of 30-40%, 3 weeks later, I'm out some cash with some unpresentable website designs and a sour taste in my mouth.

Also worth mentioning, it says the company is in California but everyone I spoke with sounded like they were calling from an offshore call centre. So if you have trouble with accents this may not be the right agency for you.

The sage goes back to February of this year. Initially they appointed somebody called Chris Prez as my account manager. They were quite anxious and communicated very well. After having some communication problems I stopped communicating with them. In May I got a contact from Alvin Scofiled who told me he is managing 58 people under and have terminated Chris Prez and appointed Ben Mark as the new Account manager. This was when I parted with £ 1000. (what a mistake!). After several emails and changes showing me a demo website with some changes in August, suddenly Alvin was managing the project himself. As all the amendments were wiped out by their maintenance people.
Alvin has stopped answering my emails and has just disappeared. How sad. I am now pursuing the legal side.
PLEASE AVOID THESE GUYS!

It was a hectic for me to find a company which can be helpful for me while designing the most appropriate website for me while incorporating every product and each aspect of my departmental store in Brooklyn... one of my friends suggested to work with Designs Gene and I must say that these guys are brilliant while understanding your requirements and business needs.

Don't be fooled by their website and fake names like Matt Kelly that they use to look professional. They will steal your money and NEVER deliver what they promise! I wish I had red the reviews before dealing with them. It would saved me a lot of time and money! Don't give them any sensitive information as they will never stop scamming you. They called my number a few months later to scam me again with credit card fraud!
THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL SCAMMERS! SCARY!

Please stay away at all cost I'm over a year In with them and have never had an experience like this in my life. First off it took them 6 months to build my website due to multiple grammar issues in every single sentence of the website. Once my website was done they said I have to pay a bunch of money to be on their server. And now I can't even post any pictures on my website and they're telling me I have to buy a plug-in but before I was promised they will be doing all the posting for me. Horrible scam company stay far far away for your own good

Allen, Amy White, Joe Jordan, Adam Baker... all names of people Ive made contact with, all dishonest shady individuals. The reality is, Im better off paying $3-$5k for a website from a local company in the states. Theyre TERRIBLE at following simple instructions and when I finally decided to cancel and part ways they refused to process the cancellation. "Adam Baker" went as far as trying to insult me over the phone and told me to take my medicine because Im obviously upset and displeased with their performance. I ended up having to call my bank and file a claim to get my refund. Bottom line is their sales agents will say whatever is necessary to get you to sign up, but the truth is they cant deliver on their promises.

Wish I could give them a ZERO star rating! I have had nothing but horror with this company. They put poronographic images on my site ( which family members and customers saw) then blamed it on a hacker and charged me 1400$ to have it removed. Now the website is not viewable due to them putting a not ADA compliant image over the site and want to charge another 1300$ to add a plugin to remove it. Customer service is nonexistent. The lady I spoke with ( Jennifer) was very rude and condescending, I would wait till she finished speaking and start to explain what I needed and she would cut me off rudely every time. She proceeded to tell me that I am not working with her lol there is customer service for you right there, I thought I called her to help me, guess I was wrong. They have people from a so called legal department that texts you and says you have broken laws and need to talk urgently, don't believe this they are the ones breaking laws. My lawyer will be contacting them very soon. Stay away from this company. SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!

Just got a call from "Design Gene" informing me my website was down and it would take $700 to bring it back on line within 24 hours; and their fix would be good for only the next five yeas; $900 for the next ten years.

I hired this group for a package and they neve delivered the product so many Sam, Mat, Zac, Martin, Sean all said i would get anything I needed in my package and Sam was the most insulting and intimidating he attempted to threaten law suit and didn't know the first thing about lawsuits or violations and how the court systems were working in the USA. I was harassed and as a result my domain name was cyber squatted. The company refuses to release my domain because they bought it but I have the original purchase of the domain. I wouldn't use these e people what so ever Sam is the worst. After he was explained appropriate protocols I never heard from him again because he knew he was wrong

These people are the absolute worst, they do actually no work except for asking for more time - no designers and probably a lot of hate mail - they did nothing at all for almost two months except for giving us the round around -

Don't buy all the 5 Star reviews you see on here. It's easy to see that they're fake reviews written by them to try to increase their ratings.

It was one of my great experiences working with the team of Designs Gene. I was fond of a company to establish a new website services for my brand. Therefore, I have landed in an excellent company Designs Gene. A dedicated team helped me out in the entire process. It was great to work with this company.

I wish I had seen these reviews before I wasted my time and money. I had money invested to build my website with a baseball glove custom builder. I spoke to them and they promised me they could do it. First it was Alvin Scofield, then passed me to Daniel, whom then build my website on another website building site. How do I know, because I had tried building one myself on that site. I got email that someone attempting to open up a website with same name. Then he proceeds to tell me that I need to change my domain address because it is taken. Uh, yes moron...I bought the domain on the platform you trying to build my site on. I got the sample web pages that were nothing like i was asking for. Then was told my money had run out because of the complexity of the site i wanted. That was after they affirmed me they could do it. Wanted more money, wanted me to host on their site which would cost upwards to $120 a month...Told them I was not going to pay any more because I was not satisfied and qualified for refund under their own policies. Next day, their policies were changed. Does not matter, seeking legal action and have the screenshots to prove it. Bottom line, I lost out on the holiday sales and $1900.00! Now number on site goes to a trucking company in Canada. Losing hard earned money to scammers sucks big time.

Paid $6500 for a website, they knew i was disabled and a senior citizen and they ripped me off with out even an explanation. The website was for people connecting with other people with terminal illness's. Asked for a refund they just ignored me

Wonderful Logo design for a campaign. I am running for Congress in the 5th district of Texas. Designsgene did a wonderful job of providing my designs in a variety of styles for me to choose. I wanted something unique and non-partisan and pretty that reflected me. The designers did a wonderful job. My project manager Kelly was very responsive and very tolerant of my busy schedule.
