Worst customer service ever
July 24, 2021

This company has gone drastically downhill after it was acquired by the galactic empire which is Alliance Enterntainment/SuperD.

They now have the worst customer service in the history of the world.

Prices are great for the most part but good luck getting any sort of decent help or satisfaction when they screw up your order (THEY SENT ME AN EMPTY BOX BECAUSE THEY DID NOT TAPE IT SHUT! AND I LEARNED THROUGH A MUSIC FORUM THAT I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE THEY DID THIS TO EITHER!).

I went round in circles with their customer service trying to get a refund until finally after 2 months they gave me NO CHOICE but to complain to my credit card company. This despite the fact that I gave them umpteen chances to fix the situation including at last contact with them when they promised to refund my money within 5 business days - and I waited 12 yet still GOT NOTHING.

Then to add insult to injury, their sister company - which used to be a GREAT place to buy import CDs, called "ImportCDs" - which also has been swallowed up by Alliance/SuperD - after my CC refunded my $ that DD owed me then ImportCDs CANCELED an order I had with them, providing me only with a cryptic and nonsensical form letter email saying that my credit card company would not "authorize" the charge, leading me to waste time dealing with the CC to find out what was up with that (nothing was - they had no idea why the charge was "declined" because it was not), which then caused me to waste yet more time on phone with ImportCDs only to learn that according to them I OWE THEM $$ since I did a "chargeback" (causing me to scratch my head wondering what "chargeback" did I ever have to do against ImportCDs? Answer being NONE - but unfortunately because of the undisclosed link between the two entities ImportCDs now will not fulfill any of my orders DUE TO THEIR DEEPDISCOUNT'S SCREWUP & FAILURE TO FIX THE SITUATION IN THE FIRST PLACE).

I have had problems in the past with both companies that were minor but annoying (very hard to get refunds from either when they fail to fill orders) but nothing like this current mess.

Steer clear at all costs unless you are willing to take a chance that they will actually process your order correctly, that they will put tape on the mailing box to prevent the contents from disappearing b4 it reaches you, that they will refund your money when they screwup etc etc. Problems happen, I can live with that, but their customer service is so poor that even the most minor issue becomes a major hassle.

Oh & of course thanks to the wonderful USPS service for delivering me an empty box, putting stickers on it to indicate that (without checking off the actual boxes or initialing the one sticker like they are supposed to) plus to add further insult to injury marking it as "delivered" in their delivery confirmation system.
