I do find it hilarious that DecorPlanet.com has two yelp pages... one with 6 reviews and 5 stars, and another with 29 reviews, 2.5 stars. This just falls right in line with the shady nature of this company.
I will admit they were $20 less on our $800 faucet, and after the 10% off coupon, I couldn't pass up the good deal. Here's a condensed version of our conversation:
6/14 - order placed, website said it's in stock
6/15 - Email rec'd saying item on backorder, "will ship out to you in 2 weeks"
6/17 - I respond saying that's fine, clarifying "ship out to me" means it will come directly to me or will they receive it in 2 weeks and then they have to ship it to me, therefore 2.5-3 wks?
6/17 - Rep. * responds with "it will ship out to you in 2 weeks." - thanks for the abundance of info (sarcasm)
6/19 - I email * asking again for clarification on the shipping timelines. He responds "you should receive it about 5 days after it ships". That's definitely not what he said before...
6/27 - I email * "I ordered it 13 days ago, so it should be shipping out tomorrow, correct?"
6/27 - * responds "Expected to ship on MON 7/3"
6/27 - Here is where the fun begins. I ask why the delay and now * explains that since I didn't respond to his email until Saturday after I placed my order on Wed, the manufacturer didnt receive the order until the following Monday. Perhaps he should have mentioned that in the original email. Something as simple as "Although you placed your order and it is confirmed, your order will not be placed until you respond to my email asking if the backordered status is okay with you." No such email was received. As an avid online shopper, when I place an order, I assume the order has been placed... not "your order is contingent upon you responding to this email". I told * that... no response from a person who was so responsive...
Because of this delay, we ran into the holiday. So 4th of July falls on week 3 of my order. The order doesn't arrive at their office until Friday. Awesome. Then they inform me there is a 3 day processing delay. Never mentioned this before. So I ask for them to ATTEMPT to resolve this and expedite their portion of the shipping. Here they had a chance to redeem themselves but after waiting for a response from a manager, I hear nothing, and then an email on Tuesday saying the item has shipped and it will be arriving to me by the end of day Saturday, 7/15. That would be a 4.5 week turnaround when I was originally told 2 weeks, then I was told 2 weeks, plus 3 days for processing, then 5 days to ship out to me.
Moral of the story, save your money and shop elsewhere. Now my remodel will fall a total of 3 weeks beyond the expected finish date because they took two weeks too long, and now my contractor has another project scheduled for the next two weeks. True, this is not their problem, it is mine. But your terrible customer service, business principles and practices are YOUR problem. An angry woman has nothing but time to write reviews after reviews informing unsuspecting shoppers of the scam you are running. I can't wait for Business Manager * to respond.

I bought the Distante Vanity and it was suppose to come with a free faucet (this one), but they said they were out of stock, so they replaced it with some cheap quality faucet that I had to return b/c it had a leak. It took a few months for them to deliver it and when I got it, it didn't fit cuz it was too big (I had to put a backsplash on the vanity.) So I decided to buy this one (my 3rd and final faucet that I should've rec'd for free with the vanity in the first place), the parts did not even fit. I had the use the hoses from the 2nd faucet I bought and it also didn't come with 2 black rubber rings, I had to take it from the 2nd faucet as well. If I didn't have my 2nd unused faucet, I would've returned this item back to them. They should check to make sure the stuff works/fits before sending it. I'm sure the item was not out of stock, they just wanted to give me a cheaper quality which took about 3 months to receive.
Delivery was prompt, but I had to use parts from another faucet they sent me to replace the cheap one I returned to them. I bought a Distante Vanity by Fresca and it was suppose to come with a Fresca faucet, but it didn't b/c it was out of stock, but I ended up buying it separately.
When I returned my first faucet (the non-Fresca that they told me they had b/c my Fresca one was "out of stock," it took forever for them to send me another non-Fresca replacement, which was about $30, as I found the same one on Ebay.) I returned my first faucet in February, did not receive it until about May. It was too big, so I ended up buying the Fresca faucet that was suppose to come with my vanity and for some reason, now that I paid over $100, it was in stock and I received it right away. I feel cheated.
