I've purchased from Debshops twice now and I haven't had any of the problems below in these reviews. The quality is great, items were shipped and delivered on time and the fit was true to size. Some items might be a bit overpriced but once they have a sale, it's totally worth it.
I placed my ordered November 11,2020 and here we are December 18th and still no package. At this point I just wanted a refund. I click the little bubble and tried talking to the rep. Is there a number I can call and talk to a real representative because I was not happy nor am I satisfied with my services from the company. So I'm speaking and expressing my dissatisfaction with everything and their responses were so ignorant. I have screenshot to prove just how rude and unprofessional they were.
Well i bought from this site twice, to me price is ok, time of delivery is good, my only problem is the quality of their clothes. First i bought a top and the color was not the same as the photo on the site, but it fit me well so i did not return it, and second time i bought a dress, the zippers broke after i only wear it once, will not buy from them again.
Tip for consumers:
Fairly priced. But very pool quality!
Ordered a prom dress and a pair of heels. Firstly, they assured that the shoe sizes were "right on the money" but no-at LEAST half a size too small. Second, the dress pictured, appeared to have a white underskirt and white bodice under the lace, but no-it's dark beige. The sequins on the bodice were all crushed and/or bent, the beading was not properly tacked down, so were "dangling", and there is 4 inch a hole on the back of the tulle over skirt. The dress looks like "factory seconds" not a $90 dress and since prom was 4 days away from receipt of the dress, we had no choice but to "make it work". Would NEVER buy from Deb Shops again.
The cloths are not the best quality. I was looking yesterday and saw the clearance prices and didn't purchase. Today I went on and saw the prices were lower than yesterday. I spent an hour filling my cart, after I put in my credit card #, it timed out, and when I got back in the prices were UP! Shoes that were 11.25 were now 19.95! Uggh! Waste of time. Prices seem to change hourly here, so be careful of wasting your time shopping here because in the end, the price you saw may not be the price you get!
Don't order online. I ordered two shirts, clearance items, so I didn't pay a lot. The peach shirt fit beautifully, yet the blue shirt was way too tight. The tags show they are the same size, but they clearly are not. To return the blue shirt I have to pay postage and I was told UPS is their preferred method, that costs more than the shirt, first-class USPS costs the same as the shirt. If I bring it to the store, I've been told it is store credit only, and the chances of finding something I want in the store that's $5, is slim. I'm going to donate the shirt to our local Goodwill and never order online from Debs again.
I enjoy shopping at DEBS, I would go to the one in Peoria, IL all of the time. The employees there were nice and weren't in your business when you shopped.
I now live in Springfield, IL and the DEBS customer service here has gone downhill. Like I said, I enjoy shopping here and I actually found a pair of shoes for only $8! I found other accessories for $2 including a necklace and a pair of sunglasses. I wanted to pay for the accessories separately because I knew I had more money in a different account. I asked to do so but she didn't cancel the transaction, I just paid for transaction using two debit cards. Which I've never done before so I was confused. I believe she was in too much of a hurry to ring me up to get done with the other job she needed to do like hanging up new inventory. The sunglasses rang up as 5.99 when they were on the $2 rack (ALL clearance was marked down so I made sure). I'm not the kind of person that tries to get something marked down when it's not on sale... I was given a rude attitude about my transactions and that the sunglasses were ringing up wrong. I apologized about the sunglasses even though it was not my fault and I never received an apology or a response back. I also waited in line for a while, while another sales associates "cleaned" up the register counter, never made eye contact with me, and never asked if I needed anything or if I needed to be rang up. Really? It was all very rude and I felt discriminated against even though I am a white female student. I am not rich, I only wanted to buy items for my birthday and I was treated very poorly. They should not have judged me so quickly. I was never greeted at the door either...
(I work in retail so I know how one should treat a customer)
I would have said something to the manager but the person ringing me up was actually the manager...
I have been a customer for Debs for years now. Probably close to 10 years. When I first started going to their store (long before the site ever existed) their clothes were pretty average and I still have clothes from them that are worth wearing. The clothes I have recently bought from them now are unwearable. The sleeves are too tight for the sizing and I bought a pair of jeans online, tried them on and the BUTTON fell off. No pressure, nothing. Literally as soon as I pulled them up, the button fell off - broken. So I bagged them up and shipped them right back. I have bought several shirts there that are flimsy and have ripped with ease. Most of the clothes I have purchased there in the past 2-3 years have been cheaply made. A brand new pair of jeans I had bought in November, the zipper burst on it and I will probably have to sew a new one on them to fix it. Dont get me wrong, the pants fit perfectly, weren't snug at all, they are just cheaply made. Other shorts I have bought there that have had pre-made holes in them have ripped further out. It's ridiculous. I probably won't be doing business with them much longer. Tip to DebsShops: investe in your clothing line. QUIT BEING CHEAP. Beware.
DON'T USE PAYPAL AT THIS SITE!
I ordered from debshop.com because all over the site it said, "Return to the store. How cool is that! I was not sure of the size I needed because my measurements where right in the middle of 2 sizes on their chart. I ordered two of the same dresses different sizes. When I tried to return the one dress I did not need, SURPRIZE. I could only get store credit because I used Paypal. It did not say that any where while I was ordering. Not even in the small print on my receipt. The only way to get any money back was to return it via the mail, pay the postage and wait one month. Now that sucks. Using a credit card would have been just as easy. They need to put a disclaimer as soon as the Paypal button is pushed.
