Deal Dash has great products and will back up any products sent to you, that may have an issue. I had a chair that broke in shipping and they immediately replaced it and made the return easy at no cost to me. I am happy with their platform and service. My most recent purchase is terrific. New soft and luxurious sheets for my bed. Thanks DealDash!

This site could be a good thing but seems like it might be going downhill. I have seen 2 times now within 2 days were a person has bought a $25 gift card for $30+ dollars, and that does not make sense. Almost like there are insiders just driving the bids up. I don't trust this site anymore due to this. I would rather find a good price elsewere and just pay. I spent a bunch of bids and it seems like I was up against a bot with unlimited bids.

You can spend hundreds of dollars or even thousands buying points to compete with others for a win. Be cautious!

Hi Jean, thank you for your review! We certainly agree that bidding in the auctions does require careful planning, as it can sometimes get competitive and you might not always win the auction. That's why we have the "Buy It Now" option if you don't win an auction. This feature lets you purchase the item at the standard retail price, and in return, you get all the bids you used on that auction back, plus the item gets shipped to you free of charge! If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out to us at support@dealdash.com. We're available 24/7 to assist you. Happy bidding and we look forward to hearing from you!

Unless you have 500 plus buds it is very difficult to win. If you want to win you have to invest and purchase 500 plus bids. There should be better incentives for those who bid daily.

In order to get started with deal dash I had to buy bids. A half price sale got me 500 bids for $30. Looking at recent auction winners it soon became obvious that most auction winners were spending far more than 500 bids to win anything actually worth more than $30. The values indicated for products being auctioned were much higher than comparable products sell for. For example; the buy it now price for a stocking cap was $50, a two-pack of underweat was $95, a pair of flip flops was $88! The only items I saw that were priced correctly were gift cards. I tried several auctions and after spending 350 bids managed to win a $50 gift card for $1.38! My remaining 250 bids didn't get any more wins, so that gift card actually cost me $31.38. I felt ok about that until I discovered the Wilson & Miller store gift card I won is worthless. That store only lists about 35 products and every product is grossly overpriced. The least expensive product currently available is a set of 3 stainless magnetic parts trays listed for $95. I already own an identical set of those that cost $8. After more research it appears most of the products being auctioned on deal dash are from companies basically owned by the same people who own deal dash. This learning experience cost $31.38, plus about 8 hours spent bidding.
Now, for the good news. After filling out a complaint with customer service, they immediately refunded my original bid pack and then basically converted the gift card to 300 more bids. So I am back where I started a few days ago with a pool of bids to use on the site. No doubt I will end up attempting to win something. The site is very addictive and time-consuming, but people do spend hours playing solitaire or on gambling sites with fake money. Deal Dash costs real money up front to play. It is basically very low percentage gambling to win stuff you could buy and save a bunch of time.
UPDATE: So I had a pool of 300 bids and a little experience with how the auctions work. My 300 or so bids won 200 bids and those won nothing. Since I got most of my money back, the experience only cost me $6.39. I spent quite a few hours on the DealDash site basically losing to people who could spend more bids than I had available.

Tip for consumers:
Unless you have lots of time to kill, close the browser window and do something, anything else.

Thank you for taking the time to share a review with us Kevin. I'm happy to hear you were able to take advantage of our new user promotion to get double the first bid pack bids along with our money back guarantee on the first bid pack purchase. Our support team is available 24/7 to improve your DealDash experience.

The number of bids required to win an auction does vary from item to item and from auction to auction. For full transparency reasons we provide this data to our users to help them budget towards the auctions. There are great deals to be won on DealDash everyday! For example, a 2023 Yamaha 4WD was won for only 380 bids: https://www.dealdash.com/auction/11600016

DealDash wants to bring a wide range of exciting and new items to auction, and to do so we work with major retailers like Walmart and Amazon, as well as multiple brands and distributors from Aava to Wilson & Miller. It is the Manufacturer’s Standard Retail Price (MSRP) that is the base for our Buy It Now price. Of course, we are hoping you can take part in the auctions and win many of these items at a great discount.

I've been a DealDash member and have won some great items at a great cost. People's bidding can be foolish and an auction for a remote control truck worth $50 in Walmart went on for over 26 hours and the winner paid $212. DealDash's Buy it Now prices are insane. A motorcycle jacket had a BiN price of $4,600. The max store price was likely less than $300. This is just one example. Ppl need to limit their bidding and don't get into a bidding wars. You can win but bid smart.

Tip for consumers:
Budget your bidding and only bid on what you really want. Don't get into a bidding war as you will waste your bids and and in thee end you will lose all your bids and likely lose the auction. Bids cost money. Don't drain your bank account or max out your credit cards.

CHECKING? 10 second rule?

Well, I have one question that I would like answered.
Before I give any more stars.
And that question is what is with the 10 second bid not working when I'm the only bidder? The timer gets to 0 and a message flashes CHECKING.
Now the timer would be at 12+seconds if it continued to count down and BAM another bidder jumps in? That has happened 4+ times to me. I would like to know why the 10 second rule does not or is not allowed to apply in those situations?
Other than that it is an addictive experience
And I do enjoy the concept but until this CHECKING thing gets cleared up for me I cannot in good faith recommend anyone to deal dash.

Hi Charlie,

Thank you for your most honest, invaluable feedback here and I'm sorry to hear that you feel that way.

From what you have told me, it sounds like the web browser was not updating immediately. DealDash is one of the most reputable and trusted auction sites in the industry and all auctions are played with real bidders just like you trying to win a great deal. I'm sorry if this has caused you to think otherwise. As the site uses Internet as a medium, there is always the possibilities for lags, delays, network interruptions, etc.

In this case the system was checking for any booked BidBuddies from other members that it must activate and keep the auction running. I do know that no one has had any extra time or advantage to try and outbid you. In the case that you see the auction timer hit zero and you are not immediately congratulated with the fireworks animation, it may be the case that there’s a delay in automatically refreshing the website. I’d recommend quickly refreshing your browser to see if the auction has ended or not: either the auction is still ongoing and you still have a chance to participate in the auction, or you’ve actually won the auction.

One thing that may help is to keep other tabs, windows and browsers closed while bidding to help keep your computer running as quickly as possible. Also it is always good to use the BidBuddy when you can, as there is a system in place that will ensure your bid is placed even if there are any unexpected network interruptions or loading delays.

Fair & Honest is a symbolic capture of DealDash's core values, these values start and end with our commitment to being humanistic.

I would love to show this to you, as it seems you've had a negative experience. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with us directly, we are available 247 and we are always happy to help!

Hi James,

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review!

Purchased a Buy Now item for a lot of money. Received the wrong item. Was told my situation would not be corrected until I sent the wrong item back. I had to stand in line at FedEx to return the wrong item, then report this back to support so I could have my correct item sent. I was pissed that as a long time customer I had to jump through hoops to get my stuff. Then as a thank you I received 100 bids. I would appreciate more compensation in bids. I spend a lot of money with Deal Dash.

I don't actually know if deal dash is legit or a scam but here is the real problem with this site: It's the constant bids they offer for auction and the bids they offer in exchange for an expensive item a bidder wins. The power bidders naturally flock to these items, taking turns winning them, and are therefore supplied with a constant stream of bids to the point where the bidding power of anyone new is a no contest so new comers either bow out of an auction when a power bidder comes in, don't enter the auction at all if a power bidder is there or they just lose their bids to those power bidders. I have seen power bidders bid over 5000 times to win 950 bids. Really? And it doesn't even make a dent in their cache of spare bids. If deal dash wanted a true legitimate auction site, then they would not offer these great bid opportunities. They would instead make "all" bidders fork out the money to buy the bids and have an even playing ground. If these power buyers were having to buy their bids like the rest of us, maybe they wouldn't be so wasteful with them. Indeed, deal dash evidently thinks they are making more money on the bid packages, but I doubt it if you consider the people who quit the site because of it. Having said all this, I use deal dash and I often win. Anyone can win. But as most of the reviews reflect you have to be in an auction with no power bidders, the power bidders while waiting for the new bidders to stop when their bids are gone or the price has been run up, make a mistake and the auction accidentally ends early because a regular player stopped bidding leaving another player to win before the power bidders jump in, get lucky enough to find a time when power bidders can't bid on an item because they have already won it and are blocked, be patient enough to wait and wait and wait, buy a crap ton of bids and try to take on the power bidder or just be unusually lucky. I know all these things and I still use deal dash and i often times win but sometimes it feels more like a job or a trauma... not the fun it's supposed to be... this is real money being played with and i actually think casinos are easier :) Imagine the money dealdash might make if "all" bidders were going head to head on an even playing field instead of power bidders constantly swooping in and taking nice items or gift cards for 9 cents or 47 cents or 1.12 etc. In any event, I doubt the people calling deal dash a scan are correct. I have won too many times and seen others win too many times to believe that... it is simply the excess of bids beings offered constantly that dull the site for so many. One last point... some will say then those with more money will win all the time...and I would say, pretty sure they are anyway. At least they wouldn't have all these excess bids to go for things over and over and over or things they don't want just to get the exchange bids instead. I'm telling you it would be way more fun and tons more fair.

You have to realize you are paying for bids and they may cost you around 10 or 12 cents (taking into account free bids) so if you have to place 200 bids to buy something for $5.00, you have paid $25 to $30 before you are done. But it is clear in the rules. The problem is everything has an inflated buy it now price. The lady did not get a $5100 coffee table for $20, she got probably a $500 coffee table for $20 and maybe $100 of bids. Still some get lucky. You can't win bidding 20 bids for most things. Need to be in it to win it and you need to watch the jumpers and cheaters.

I have won the ability to purchase some nice items at good prices through Deal Dash, and for that, I am grateful. It's a fun bidding site and the daily challenges and specials keep me interested. There are items of very good quality on Deal Dash, and rarely have I been disappointed with the quality of my purchases. I do wish to express frustration with those bidders who bully others by setting their profiles to be intimidating. In addition, there are a few seasoned bidders who attempt to "talk" to other bidders, even using further intimidating techniques. It is truly in poor taste, in my opinion, that this is allowed. I wish that each bidder would follow Deal Dash's request to "write something friendly about yourself here," or to write something non-threatening, if they don't care to get at all personal. I'm not easily offended, however, I, like many others, can be intimidated against bidding on items. I do know that there are several people whom I will not even bother bidding against because I know them to be bullies, (which is not okay), or have simply done my homework and know that there is no way to win against them, (which is okay, because they work at winning). All in all, I like Deal Dash. My adult children's Christmas will be quite good because of my Deal Dash use, this year.

The item I won was fine, however in the 10 years I have been with dealdash, in general, the items up for auction have become over valued, over priced, pretty much useless. Make up, gift cards to places, only city people have access to, clothing in petite sizes, cars? Boats? And buying bids to bid on bids?. Seldom do I find an item worth bidding on. Most of the time the "valued" price is inflated substantially, I can buy it much cheaper through the company or store. The excitement of the bidding ran out. I am just finding the whole experience less satisfying than it was even three years ago.

I have been using Deal Dash for 5 years now. Was much easier to win items when i started compared to now. Many new people joining it seems like daily which ups the competition. Also many times throughout the day there seems to be fewer auctions, which also does not help. There are also about 30 or 40 bidders with very deep pockets that seem to take turns winning the good items. You really have to watch how much your bidding on an auction and do not get caught up in the action or you can lose a lot of money.

Caution should be exercised when bidding for more expensive items. DealDash makes their money on these items because multiple bidders pay a considerable premium to post multiple bids at penny increments. If it looks like there are going to be a number of bidders before closed bidding ($5.00 bid), then it is best not to participate because you will lose all the money you paid for each penny bid. Buying on Amazon may be a better choice.

Hi Earl. Thanks for the review and advice for fellow bidders. Indeed, that is a good strategy to follow on DealDash. It is always advisable to keep to a budget and try to avoid auctions that are very crowded, since those will take longer to end. Thanks for taking the time to send this feedback. I have recently been on dealdash for a few weeks and i have seen and got to know the names to atay away from they will bid 5000 bids for a 3000 bid pack... who does that really... and i strated to notice as i got higher in levels that if me and one person get into it and they drop out the same name allways happens to show up and bid 500 bids on a 100$ itwm and i did this just to see if my hunch was right and as soon as i jump out that persin jumps out as well. Its like when you first sign up they give you a few things for a. 01 i know this because me and a couple friends set up diffrent accounts... i have got a few decent items but most are cheap stuff from china... and absolutely not worth no 3k or 1800 or 1080 so dont be fooled they are watching it got absolutely impossible to win anything when i hit 38 items in a week because you can only get 50 things in a week and also never ever send out a referral code to anyone it completely screws you and your friend... i did this and i had actions set in bid buddy for 6-8 hours before and my buddy dropped 1 bid in a few of those actions and it blocked me from bidding on those items not worth fighting your friend for stuff ya want... at the end of the day a Auction is a auction friend or fow and as long as you both keep the same accounts it will keep you blocked from ever joining the same auctions for life and its Balogna... but if you never share that code you guys can bid agaist each other all ya want SO NEVER INVITE SOMEONE TO DEAL DASH USING YOUR CODE! NEVER! And as soon as the new weeks started i was abke to start wining items again this has haooend for 3 consective weeks in a row. Alot of people exchange items one for more bids. The other day i seen someone spend 36,000 bids on a 9000 bid pack... like come on who can afford *******k bids thats like 15k thats the deal dash employees...

Hi Dennis, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts about DealDash! We take our motto of fair and honest auctions very seriously, which is why referring users are not able to participate in the same auctions. I'm happy to hear you won some decent items, kindly know all of our items are shipped from within the United States (either directly from our warehouses or from our partner suppliers located in the US). Finally, we recommend users to set up a budget before entering an auction and to decide for themselves how many bids they are willing to place into an auction. This depends completely on the users themselves and for additional tips, please visit: https://www.dealdash.com/help/tips-and-tricks. Hope this helps and wishing you a great rest of your week!

I'm a true actual victim…This site was set up by a genius! It's addictive to see the same players (if there real) your bidding against and try to beat them with your $$ and bids. It's addictive to actually win something, and see there fireworks screen when you do. Really NOT A GOOD DEAL unless your trying to throw $$ away. If you play you will always LOOSE more then you win. The house will win 90% of the time. Due to the addictive nature it's hard to stop until you see your bank account empty and max out credit cards. I'm in them 7k! And they loved me until I woke up! Save your money. It's usually cheaper to buy the item in a store. Items have INFLATED VALUES for those not savvy to know true values. Bids can and will go over there inflated values. This is not a deal people. Your fighting a loosing game here.

Tip for consumers:
Addictive site. Inflated values. Costly. You can get caught up in what seems like an inexpensive way to win. Believe me it adds up faster then you think. Auctions can and will exceed inflated values. Rare to be a winner unless you’ve a high roller. Auctions are manipulated in my opinion.

Products used:
I had won some disappointing items along with a couple nice ones ( area rug ) but it cost me in bids more then the inflated value they post on all the items. The name DEAL DASH is a play on words. There are getting the DEALS from the consumer loading bids and overpaying therefore filling there bank account. Then the dash is shipping inferior products 89% of the time. If it sounds too good to be true….

Thank you for your review Sherre. I'm happy to hear of your good wins on DealDash such as the rug you mentioned. We do recommend users to stick to a budget and if the auctions are too competitive, to wait for the auction to come up again and try again later. We have the past winner's history for full transparency which shows the number of bids used and the final auction price for the specific auction(s). We also recommend utilizing our Buy It Now option where you can buy the item at its retail value to receive the item along with all the bids back from the auction! Here are some more tips for you: https://www.dealdash.com/help/tips-and-tricks.

As you know we are not a normal retail store, and our customers are able to win great items at outstanding prices in the many auctions we have every day. We are not able to hold these auctions that finish at really low prices as well as match other stores' offers and discounts.

If there's anything we can do to improve your DealDash experience, please reach out to our Happiness team and we will be more than happy to assist.

I have gotten a few good deals. The draw back is the people that have monopolized the site with wealth and bidding in a way to make others lose out on time for free bids or having more bids than the average person can contend with. The auction of BID PACKS, seems to be a way to get poor people to try and BUY more bids with BIDS they already purchased with the hope of being able to get a good deal on REAL merchandise. I would like to see more variety in the products offered. Love to get a set of knives and some of the fishing gear. But more BID PACKS are on auction than the good stuff causing a BIDDING WAR for those scarce items.
Thank You for hearing my feed back. Hope it helps.

Sitejabber for Business

Gain trust and grow your business with customer reviews.

From the business

Bid on auctions and save. All auctions start at $0 with no minimum price reserve. Everything must go! DealDash is the fair and honest bidding site. Founded in 2009, millions of bidders have enjoyed Deal Dash auctions since.

Business History

Established in 2009, DealDash is the longest operating site of its kind in the United States. Before DealDash was founded, millions of Americans tried out 1st generation bidding fee auctions. These first generation auctions left many people with a poor experience.

After one such letdown experience, spending $50 on a pay-to-participate auction site with nothing to show for it, our founder decided to create a fair and honest alternative to bidding fee auctions, where losing bidders don’t have to lose the money they spent bidding. That is how Deal Dash was born in 2009. Today, over 1,000 brand named products are discovered and won by customers every day!

Bid in our online auctions to catch a deal and if you don't win the auction, you can buy it now and keep on bidding!
