“I'm adding my voice on here 'cos I know people can...”

I'm adding my voice on here 'cos I know people can fall for this. It's a scam, I can understand why one would need to be safe and try to know what kinda person you are meeting with but that site doesn't even have a home page and the picture is never rotated even after appending the url. Don't fall for this, we need a place to meet people without these crazy scammers and this has inspired me to work on a pet project that would eliminate these crazy people, no one's real on CL anymore.

Definitely a scam. I was directed to datematchprofiles.com/Nicole41, go the same as other reviewers. This phisher's game is deep.

SCAM SCAM SCAAAAAAM. DON'T FALL FOR IT. Ah, apparently the latest in a million such scam sites. I struck up a seemingly fun & honest conversation via Craig's List personals (already fertile ground for such scams). After exchanging 6 emails with this person, she asked that I 'verify who I really am' in interest of her safety. Fair enough, thought I. Having no qualms about showing that I'm not a psycho-killer, I did as asked. Quoting from "her" (who knows?) last email:
"Ok, you need to understand that I am alone and pretty vulnerable, so forgive me for not just running out to meet you... a total stranger, or handing you my number.
I'm sorry to be a pain but I have to be safe, and considering some of the things I'd be willing to let you do to my body if this all works out, I need to know you're not a freak or killer or something.
To get my number... so we can cover more ground... you'll need to verify your identity at www.datematchprofiles.com/Nicole32
Give me a call once you have my number and we can hook up, I'm home now. I really hope to hear from you soon. Here's another pic."

SO- a different pic of this same person comes up, and "THE SAFE DATING NETWORK" info appears. "Free Pass with Credit Card" is the deal. My basic faith in the goodness of human nature said, "ah, fair enough"-- HAH.
Registered and then immediately thought to check my bank account -- $40 charge. Called my bank, got the charge blocked immediately. Then thought I'd try typing in the domain with a random name after the slash (instead of Nicole32, I entered 'Beelzebub' :) ) and what do you know? Exact same page loads. Same with any name or word entered. SCAM SCAM SCAM.
Won't be fooled again. Hilarious thing is that I'm a computer professional and I fell for it in the first place. "Nicole" is a somewhat clever scammer; exchanging 6 emails before directing me to the scam site was a nice touch... d'oh. I reckon whatever habit 'she' is supporting this way hasn't completely destroyed 'her' mind yet. DON'T FALL FOR IT.
