What ads? I'm reading all these reviews about there's too many ads on Dailymotion, has people not heard about using an "ADBLOCK"? I haven't seen any ads in years. I am however aware of how bad the ads are on Dailymotion lol, which is why i said to use an adblock. That's all you have to do. As for Dailymotion in general, the entire site has changed for the worse over the years. But there's some good points which is why i always come back and stay using this site. I will covered the good and bad. The Good: Quicker and easier way to get verified badge over YouTube. More easy to navigate and browse the site, doesn't feel sluggish, don't need a phone number to access all features, faster uploading system over YouTube, faster optimizing videos over YouTube. Most Important, the Copyright System is way less strict compared to YouTube, you can upload more content which doesn't get flagged. The Bad: Comments are gone, recently banners were removed, feature videos is gone, the entire user channel design has changed and it looks awful and too plain looking, no categories section, the new front page looks awful, can't see your subscribers, there's no following videos tab on the front page, no dark mode. I uploaded 3 photos, you can see clearly that the entire website front and user channel is terrible looking. The Bottom line: Despite all the features being removed from Dailymotion, Overall the experience dealing with Dailymotion is better. If you're seeing ads just use an AdBlock, problem solved. I do hope most of the features come back to Dailymotion and more importantly they need to completely redesign the user channel design, its way too ugly and stupid looking now. Now sure what the staff is thinking. Why would you remove banners from a user channel? I would choose Dailymotion over YouTube for the simple fact that the copyright system is way better and less hassle signing up to the site and uploading speed is faster.
It claims to show advanced episodes when in fact it would be showing previous ones! It also makes you waste time with the ads (where their money comes from, I assume) and then all the buffering! Not recommended at all!
ITS SO BAD. TOO MANY ADS. 2X15 SECOND ADS WITH N0 SKIP BUTTONS. ME WHO BARELY WATCH 10 SECONDS AND THEN IT POPS UP...AND AT ONE POINT THERE WAS LIKE 6 ADS IN LESS THAN 10 MINS EVEN YOUTUBE HAS BETTER ONE I COULD WATCH A 30+HOUR LONG VID WITH BARELY 2 ADS. AT DAILYMOTION I CANT EVEN WATCH A 20 MIN VID WITHOUT AT LEAST 4 ADS POPPING UP
Not with the agro! Advertisements pop up every few minutes, only I get blank black boxes so no idea what's being advertised. After several ads it just cuts off and rewinds back to the beginning. Aagh! And since I'm watching a series, the episodes are jumbled out of order along with other shows, so you are continuously scrolling to find a particular episode. Who programmed it this insane way? Yes its free, but I give up!
The videos have no sound with the exception of those posted by KonterTv. Please fix or delete. Thank you.
Repeated advertisement, No use of it. Please remove repeated advertisement and try to update as 1 advertisement per episode.
This is the only site that uploads a New Zealand soap I watch, and now I am in Oz I can't use the local streaming sites. Except the episodes get reposted over and over with a new date. So you think you are watching the current episode, you sit through the annoying ad only to find it is the episode from 2 days ago. And every other dailymotion video for that date is the same. And the next day the same repost is updated to that date. And the Ads! Lets just say one 22 minute episode had 19 ads!
This seems to be the simplified version of the "most known site on this subject out there". The ads are really annoying. It has some interesting content, but at my opinion its not that worth it.
I primarily used DailyMotion through the years to watch episodes of MLP, but lately I've hardly been able to enjoy the show because of the insane quantity of advertisements. It's loading ad after ad while I try to watch the video, hogging my internet to the point that the video itself is starting to have trouble loading. I tried turning on my adblock (I disable it for websites that I genuinely appreciate and would like to give ad revenue to), but surprise surprise, the video inexplicably turns completely black after any advertisement loads leaving me to watch the video with only my ears, so I had to disable it and refresh the page.
Lastly, towards the end of the video, DailyMotion directed me AWAY from my video, despite me not touching a thing, to some $#*!ty download for software that I don't even remember what it was, but I guarantee it was either a scam or a virus. That's just plain scummy, especially when I'm letting the site suck up my bandwidth with its non-stop ads.
Good variety of shows and movies, but I'm not using DM anymore whatsoever.
Tip for consumers:
Use Youtube.
Watched "gaslight" in 2 parts. (offered free) The first part was fine... Then in part 2 they inserted ads just as the suspense was really building. I'd rather have paid 3 bucks to watch the movie at another site.
DM CEO Saada claims in the last 2 years he has cleaned up Dailymotion site. One look at DM and you can see the site has not changed. We can see videos that have been posted up to 3 years ago.
Even with parental controls on, We can see garbage videos with nudity. Not even quality nudity, more splashed around. With bad titles.
Saada and Dailymotion claims they want to build a quality and family site.
They failed. Plus with the Hack of 85 million accounts. One thing they say is well good thing DM does not keep financial data. LIE, they have financial data on people who upload videos for profit. How can they pay them without financial data?
So complete lie on company to cover themselves
Inaddition to all that. Dailymotion has continued to copyright infringement in Russia. When Russian Media tried to contact DM, they were ignored. Now DM is banned in Russia.

I can't watch videos on this site. Always says video cannot be played. Disappointing
The connection does not seem to be as great as YouTube and there are way too any adds. There are some that just randomly start playing around the page and it disturbs me from listening to the video I want. Then there are some that just don't go away and I have to reload the page! I defiantly prefer YouTube.
