“Good News, Toxic Comment Sections”

John S.
12/30/21

4 stars because the actual "news" aspect of the site is overall pretty good but it's unfortunate that the comments section on each article is full of radical right-wing trolls that vigorously upvote and promote COVID misinformation comments.

“Content held hostage for the ransom of disabling AdBlocker.”

Any site holding content hostage for the ransom of disabling an adblocker triggers an immediate middle finger and closing of the tab. I can find news elsewhere without advertisements and tracked cookies watching my every move and infecting my computer. Find another way to make money without pelting your readers with distractions.

The Mail caters for elderly right-wing people who want to be made angry by "dreadful" things in the news. As a source of factual news it is useless. It allows comments if they agree with the Mail's agenda. It hounds anyone (Harry and Meghan, Lineker etc) who publicly say anything against the Mail's line. Hardly surprising that Wikipedia does not allow contributors to use the Mail as a source.

This "newspaper" has been spreading lies and conspiracy theories all over their online version since the pandemic began. They are a dangerous organization and people will die because of the lies about vaccines and masks. James Gordon is the worst "journalist" on this site...

It's outrageous this website is flooded(and it's literally flooded) with advertising and employees at Daily Mail expect people to read articles? This website seriously needs to be investigated because most of the advertising are dangerous and misleading and the new sources are questionable, fake news.

Daily mail is so manipulative, full of lies. Far from the actual fact. None of their article is true. Their articles are make no sense, boring and ridiculous. Word per word in their article is copy paste from previous article. It's not worth it at all for public.

Daily Mail is inciting hate by publishing racist articles aimed at pushing one community against the other. These articles are based on biased and fake information. Daily Mail should be banned.

Many years ago the Mail used to be a newspaper of merit, and was renowned for its reporting. Now it's just another gossip celeb mag full of badly copied articles from other newspapers or sites like mumsnet. Most articles are full of gobsmacking untruths, misspelling or just sheer ignorance quoting from conspiracy nuts. And they are the best articles given the remaining ones are usually adverts disguised as factual or medical articles. I think most if the so called reporters are just interns coping and pasting from twitXface now and there are no editors checking what's going out either online or in the print versions. I certainly won't be paying to access this. The Mail used to scoff at papers like The Sun, The Daily Star, etc but it's as bad if not worse than them now.

Just be aware that anything you read on the DailyMail is censored. Even comments that are 100% verifiable and accurate are removed if they don't meet their agenda of misinformation and scare tactics. Steer clear and get your news elsewhere

Tip for consumers:
My tips? Don't! They are a waste of time and effort. Controlled by the government, they feed you whatever the government wants.

Daily mail does not recognise freedom of speech, especially when your comment does not fit thier [journalists] narrative.

This website is $#*!ing radical! I can't believe that such triggered people exist! Usually, it's labeled as right-wing, but I've seen articles and comments from both sides, right and left, going HAM about something. Usually, the idiotic comments get upvoted, while the rational comments get downvoted to hell! So much hate from both sides, I don't even know if it's supposed to be right-wing or left-wing anymore. Full of radical, angry, bitter, judgmental people.
