Quite easy to order online. Product details were quite clear. Good price as well
On the negative side... The Delivery Driver called me when he was in my driveway. I could not answer the phone. I expected that I would have advance warning of the delivery time etc where I could be prepared to respond. Calling the customer when in my driveway does not allow time to respond.
On the positive side... the delivery driver was responsive to a text later that day when I sent a txt. He provided me with a place to collect my order in Pt Melb and a delivery card was left in my letterbox. He told me to come ot the dept on Thurs 31/8.
On the negative side logged on to the website on the delivery card, started a chat session waited looking at my phone waiting but missed the response from the online person in the chat message. The person in the chat said not to worry that I had missed their response and that I could just start the chat again and this would engage with the systems to allow another person to then respond. After several chat messages I did not receive a response. I then decided to call the customer service number 03 9320 8100 several times on 30//8/23 and the call rang out with no answer. This was very frustrating and not a smooth customer experience.
I proceeded to the Pt Melb Depot as there was no other way for me to get my parcel. The staff at depot were very helpful. I went there on Wed 30/8 in preparation for the delivery of the parcel at the dept on Thurs 31/8 as I did not know the dimension of the box and would need a arrange a car big enough to carry it if it was too big. The depot person suggested I text the delivery driver and ask for a photo. The delivery driver suggested that he could deliver to my house on 31/8 if I agreed that the parcel be left at the front door. I agreed and on 31/8 I received the parcel.
I am grateful for the delivery driver to be flexible, responsive to SMS and to accomodate by delivering the parcel again at my house, but this was not without a lot of time and inconvenience from a customer viewpoint. I do not understand why this could not be arranged in the first instance. It would have saved a lot of time.The touch points with the customer need to improve in the call centre - respond to calls & SMS Chat.
