Got all my gear from CycleGear, scratched up my helmet visor a bit while riding and was reluctant to buying a whole new $500 helmet when mine was still good. Was able to order a new visor with them and it was easily replaced

I would give this a 5 star rating but can't because of bad advertising/misinformation. I purchased tires from cyclegear because they also offered installation and balancing services. I could have bought the same tires for a little less and shipped directly to my home but didn't because I would have to take the tires to a shop for install and balance anyway. Well, it turns out my nearest (and only location in the state) store doesn't provide those services. It's a 30 minute drive to the store one way, so it was even more cost for me to get tires that could've been shipped to my house or just ordered from another shop to begin with.

Easy to find what I want/need and love they have a petite option for women. The jeans feel like they run a little big. I always wear a size 10 but they run a little big. I'm keeping them though in case I want to layer with leggings underneath when it's cooler.

Tires were as advertised online. But needed mounting to go with them. Website didn't specifically say Indianapolis store had no service. So I ordered tires delivered to Indianapolis instead of my home. A hour away.
I was in the market for a new helmet, so I went to cycle gear in Brookfield. All of the employees were fantastic I was helped by Ashley the store manager, she helped me get the correct fit and ordered the helmet before it was available in store! I absolutely love the helmet and recommend cycle gear to my riding friends and family!
I went into the store and had them order from their website. I did it that way so the store could get credit. My local store is one of the best around would prefer doing it that way instead of doing it from home. I go into the store regularly because employees are always helpful and friendly.

Answer: Your local dealership will almost inevitably be superior to CycleGear, in every respect. The reason for that is your local dealership will cease to exist if they don't offer their customers the service, support, and products that they are looking for. You might not find it on the shelf right then, but every dealership has the ability to order in what you want and they will price it fairly, because they know that you can go elsewhere. These internet retailers need to be put out of business, by us. All we have to do is shop locally.
