I've been using Crowdtap for several years now. I fill out surveys and they send me gift cards; my favorites are Uber and Burger King, but they offer lots more. I've never had any problem with them. You won't get rich but it's really nice to earn $5 or $10 here and there for surveys that are easy to fill out (and sometimes kind of interesting). If a friend asked me to recommend survey sites, Crowdtap would be in the top 3.

“Account disabled for no reason”

I signed up for Crowdtap last night and answered surveys for a good while before going to sleep, then woke up to find my account was disabled and no one can give me a reason why. What a waste of time! I've read that this happens a lot with this site, so I'll be sticking with Branded Surveys and YouGov from now on. I've never had a problem with those sites.

I give crowdtap a two star rating on account they actually pay fairly good. But i and most everyone i know have gotten blocked. I got blocked with no warning, have contacted support 4 times on what i did wrong, and nothing, no answer back, no reason why i got blocked, nothing. So if you plan on joining their team, enjoy it while it last, cause it will not last.

I got 15$ then took a break and came back and cant log into my account :(. glad i didn't save up for 20 though i did have almost another 5 dollars. I'll probably make a new acc but i was rlly enjoying the site.

I've bee n this site for over 5 years now and I don't understand why all of a sudden my account keeps getting disabled. I know sometimes my answers are short but if they a perfectly honest they would know that you can't make a answer long all the te because the questions require a yes or no answer. Plus sometimes people just can't think of anything more then that. If they really truly want honest answers then they shouldn't penalized you when you can't come up with something without either babbling or just straight out lying. I'm great at babbling but I just can lie on questions it's goes against every I stand for and what I raised my kids with. So please explain to me why all of a sudden in the last few months my account keeps getting disable.

There was no warning nothing and they blocked my account I redeemed two gift cards and they didn't send me when I emailed them then I got reply that I won't be able to get my account back and there would be no more gift cards for you, so I lost my account and lost my 8000 points and also I can't even send them an email

When I first found this site, I was really excited and opened it all the time to answer questions. I found it to be a fun and easy way to voice opinions and get modestly rewarded for it. However, like many others, my account was recently disabled and I really had no idea why as I always answered honestly. When I put in a support ticket, I was told my account was "disabled due to multiple identified accounts". The problem is - I don't recall ever making multiple accounts on Crowdtap - I was just always logged in with my same account, so I don't know where the multiple accounts came from. Perhaps it's because I have multiple emails associated with my personal google account (you know, one personal, one business, on school, etc), and it somehow registered that as 'multiple accounts'? I'm not really sure, but when I asked a follow-up question to find out if they could tell me what accounts were under me so I could investigate if further as I was worried there might have been some sort of security breach on my end, the response I got back was very quick, but kind of rude... I was basically told the same thing "Your account has been deactivated due to multiple accounts coming from your location and device... We have thoroughly explained the reasons for deactivating your account and will not continue to discuss the matter. This will be our last form of communication with you regarding this issue". I don't think the reasons were thoroughly explained as it was the same response as I got the first time, and the closing of the issue without being fairly assessed seemed curt and rude... and left a bad taste in my mouth as I still don't believe I had multiple accounts - if I did have multiple accounts by accident, I only ever used one account, so it just didn't seem to make sense. So, overall, Crowdtap is great! Until you get disabled without adequate resolution and get cut off by rude customer service..

I was banned and I'm not sure why. I belong to a lot of free for reviews sites and don't have any problems on any of them. When I try to sign in it says "sorry your account was deleted" by who? Why? Oh and I didn't earn a thing on their site because I was banned almost right away. I cant say if its a scam or not beecause I wasnt on there long enough.

Hi Jessica, If you see a message saying your account was deleted, you are not banned! It means you accidentally deleted your account, but it can easily be undone. Just email support@crowdtap.com and we'll fix it for you.

Answering every question for 11 weeks gave me a $5 gift card. About as slow as PaidViewpoint.

The surveys connect to the same routers as other survey sites: try one, get routed to five other companies, and you might finish one, hit a dead end or get a page error.

I signed up for crowdtap simply to try it out. We are currently a single income family, so every little bit helps- and we love free samples. However, we are also private people and would very much like to remain that way. This site/sample program wants its participants to not only share personal information (to see which samples are a good fit for your family- totally understandable), but also wants said participants to flood their social networks and contacts lists with brand photos and messages in order to even APPLY to possibly have a chance at getting a sample of a certain product. Compared to other sites (ex. Pinchme), this is too much work and too time consuming for just the possibility of receiving a sample. Add to that the fact they want you to flood your social media with their partners' branding... It's a no brainier for us. If you're not a 'private' person, don't mind sharing a ton of branding and what not on your social media, and have a lot of time on your hands- then, you could give it a try. It's just simply not for us.

So far it was a great experience. But since Last week, I did not receive any gift cards after 4 business days. I'm supposed to receive 2 amazon gift cardas, got the email from them "Rewards is on your way", did not reach to me. I emailed to Team members, did not get any reply.
Very upset!

I've been using this site for months now. Now all of a sudden my account has been deactivated because some how they think i live in India when i live in the US. I've tried to get this situated but their customer service is terrible and they don't even respond or try to help. I made a second account and the same thing happen.

Hello, Alicia. Although we wish it weren't the case, there are instances when profiles are banned and we take great care before taking that step. We abide by the regulations of our Terms of Service, specifically in this case, sections 4.7 and 4.8, with the intention of being able to reward and support the Crowdtap community members as a whole. We do offer an appeals process (humans do err), but depending on the specific cause of a profile's banning (i. E., evidence of duplicated accounts, accounts created and/or used outside Crowdtap’s allowed territories), that may affect whether or not you hear back from us.

In this case, Alicia, your account was incorrectly banned and your profile has been reactivated. We apologize for the inconvenience. You should have received an email from our support team already regarding this.

They are making changes to the website now and now I don't like it near as much. Granted they are still apparently working on it, there aren't as many missions to do for points, it's so much harder to maneuver around, u don't get the percentages of which answer people chose any more, and it's a lot harder to accrue as many points. To top it off, they have been working on it for two weeks and no sign of the end near. Wish they would have left a great thing alone. I gave them 5 stars on my last review.

I loved crowd tap! Then it wouldn't log in so I thought oh I will just make a new account and now it won't let me do anything at all! It just says sorry your account has been deleted! Like for real?!? That is the dumbest thing I have ever seen! It's not fair and absolutely ridiculous! It was their site that wouldn't let me log in!

Hi Megan, Thanks for your comment. If you see a message saying your account has been deleted, that does not mean your account has been banned. However, we only allow for 1 account per member, which may have caused an issue when you created a second account. If you cannot access your original account, you can always try Forgot Password to gain access again. You can also email support@crowdtap.com so we can help you further and determine which account you'd like to keep and use.
