I don't know what all the fuss is about. Crowdrise takes a 6% fee and the payment processor takes 2.9%. If you opt to pay a little extra so the nonprofit doesn't pay the fees from your donation (I did), the fees plus donation Is totaled up at checkout. It's impossible to miss. More importantly, the site is extremely easy to use and e-mail support is quick. It's kind of silly to expect a platform to not have some kind of fee attached to sustain operations/stay running.

Is any companies' customer service team better or more efficient than Crowdrise's? Seems hard to believe. Response time is unbelievable, they always respond quickly, efficiently and with help for whatever your problem may be and never seem annoyed by the simplicity or complicated nature of your request. I've worked with a couple of the different fundraising platforms and always like working with this one the best!

Outstanding product and second to none in customer service. I love chatting with their team. They have never NOT helped me and ALWAYS go above and beyond what you ask of them. I know the above is not a true word, but no words can truly embody my experience with crowdrise. They have been more than helpful. They helped me obtain much needed goals for my cat who was sick and are continuing to do so with my son who literally is half way around the world out of my arms. O. K., I was *not* looking forward to fundraising (understatement), but CrowdRise made it easier and dare-I-say entertaining. We posted to facebook and had donations within minutes from people we hadn't seen in years. The customer service (chat, email, phone--I used them all) is among the best I've experienced anywhere, ever. Totally impressed and absolutely recommend.

I made an account on CrowdRise with very little expectations, and they really blew me out of the water. Aside from fundraising, they do so many other cool things as part of their site. They are hilarious and I honestly laugh out loud everytime I get an email or look on the site. They have excellent customer service, which I feel is hard to find these days. They always promote sending thank you's and donating to other's fundraisers. I had the most enjoyable experience with them and would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Our grassroots nonprofit has been a big fan and a regular user of CrowdRise for 6 years. We participate in their annual fundraising challenges, plus we set up fundraisers throughout the year for specific needs, and our online donations go though CrowdRise.

The best thing about CrowdRise is the hands-on help. Ask a question, and they're on it. Have a problem with set-up? They'll walk you through it. Feedback is immediate and enthusiastic. They want you to meet your goal, and they have lots of great tips for making that happen.

Some reviewers complain about the fees. If you really want big expenses for raising money, try hiring a good development director! We can't do that, and neither can a lot of small, "impactful" nonprofits. CrowdRise is a bargain.

We'll stay with this fantastic group of can-do people. Fundraising can be a drag, especially if you don't have a clue about how to get started or how to follow through. It's a lot of work for your organization, and you do have to invest time and energy - but CrowdRise makes it fun as well as successful.

CrowdRise has made our fundraising experience at my organization come alive! I've enjoyed all of the energy that using Crowdrise has given to me and my organization. It's been easy to connect with people about our cause and provide them with simple tools to support us! I will be using CrowdRise again in the future.

I volunteer for This Old Horse in Minnesota a new, small non profit and for the second year I have easily surpassed my fundraising goal thanks to Crowdrise! This year when I sent out my birthday note I updated our non profit site and the founder started her own team page and sent my link to more of our volunteers who started their own pages! Thanks to your clear instructions the page is easy to set up and more important, it is so easy for our donors to use and they love seeing our pictures! What a fantastic company. I can't say enough good things about them. They do amazing charity work and make donating easy and safe. Also I had a fantastic customer service chat with Falco today. I worked with this site to fundraise for a 5K my organization held for our local Children's Hospital. The customer service representative that I worked with was the best customer service representative I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She was incredibly helpful, and was very quick to respond. I highly recommend using this site for your fundraising needs!

Quintas, our service representative has been a great help. Via conference call in two locations, Quintas guided us through the details of the Claim Your Nonprofit process with attention and skilled listening. Honest to God, I emailed a random email, which is usually sent to some bull$#*! third party, but they fixed my problems... off bat. They didn't send me anywhere else, and I actually had 2 issues... they solved both... then they asked if they could do more. Amazing... I love these guys.

I've always wanted to raise money for a charity but you hear so many horror stories of charity organizations taking such huge percentages, CEO's with padded accounts, and overall corruption. Crowdrise was none of this and provided so much more than I would have thought. They answered any questions I had quickly and with a friendly tone. Raising awareness for my cause was so easy, they even have thank you prompts to help connect with those who donate. If you are thinking about raising for a cause please consider this website. I will be using CrowdRise every time I set up a chairtable event.

I was having a hard time adding a group to my account fundraiser page. I started the online chat and began working with someone at CrowdRise. They were so fantastic and helped me for over 30 minutes to make sure my accounts were fixed and my friend was added to my group fundraiser. This person seriously went through all possible methods of fixing my problem until it was finally solved.

Huge thank you to CrowdRise and Thank you for your fantastic Chat feature. I have used many and this has been one of my best experiences. It has turned a bad experience into a great one.

This was my first experience with running a fundraiser. CrowdRise made it so simple and fun, I can't even begin to tell you. But I shall try.

First of all, they don't take themselves too seriously. You can tell just by their tagline "If You Don't Give Back No One Will Like You." I really appreciated that, because most likely whatever you're raising money is inherently depressing (my cause was homelessness). They take the edge off by keeping you laughing with some of the best copy you'll ever read. And for me, a copywriter by trade (and quite jaded at that), to say that is a big deal.

Secondly, it was so. Friggin'. Easy to use. They say you'll have your fundraiser up and running in less than 42 seconds. Took me slightly longer than that to get all the pieces in place, but not much.

Lastly, they are personable. Anything I had a question about, they were quick to respond, and always friendly. In fact, I had asked them to place an additional information box in my donation section. They did it. Love them for that.

I have shopped soo many event/ fundraising platforms it feels like my actual job. Cowdrise turned out to be my fave bc outside of having the best all inclusive and descriptive name the service is the best for the fee scale. I've created two fundraisers and one event and though the event/registration fundraiser was little more difficult, the expedient service by Crowdrise made all the difference. Kelly L is off the charts with response time and turnaround time for edits/modifications! First they set up my event/registration just a few hours after our call and then post testing for the reg, a number of modifications were requested. Kelly, who I thought was only supposed to help set up our registration has been a main point of contact and replies to inquiries at lightning speed. Even after "business hours" good for me, but it makes me wonder how much they're all working over there. I felt like my event/fundraiser was one of only a few and even the only at times that Kelly was working on, but realistically I'm sure she's probably working on hundreds or possibly even more. Thanks so much Kelly L and crowdrise for keeping it simple and being the 1st supporters of any fundraiser. Love ya

My fundraising event is over and during initial set-up I thought donor fees would be 3-5%. It wasn't until after that I learned they were being charged 10% from a donor who ended up making a donation offline. I realized that if we had chosen to cover the fees, we would not have covered more than the 5%, however i'm not sure it would have inspired people to donate more. Reconciling fees and donations was a bit confusing but the customer service was still amazing a helping clarify things and considering all the support provided from start to end and the platform i think they earned what we paid in fees, plus our donors. We raised enough money where we can look and likely purchase a our own CRM for future events, so it worked out as a starting platform.
