As soon as I posted a comment about their cash back exclusions, CouponCabin cancelled my account. I had been with them long enough to earn over $1,100. What kind of company doesn't appreciate constructive comments and rewards faithful customers with cancellation?

Be prepared to return the items you ordered when Coupon Cabin doesn't honor their cash back offer. And they still won't let you have another offer for 30 days, despite their failure. Customer service has been poor whenever I needed to contact them. A couple of bad experiences is enough to sour the few good ones I've had.

Unfortunately, after an order has been placed, a modification, in any way, for any reason, will result in the reversal and cancellation of your cash back. This was prominently displayed at the top of the “Details & Exclusions” shown with the offer you clicked. I'm sure you're frustrated by this, but please know that CouponCabin shares this feeling with you as we, too, will lose our commission for your order.

I cannot recommend CouponCabin as it is (as far as I know) the only cash back website that charges a monthly maintenance fee ($4.00/month) if your account stays inactive. By doing so, they are behaving just like banks and financial institutions. This is a trick or a trap, a way for CouponCabin not to have to pay you the cash back you have earned. A very bad business practice. Try other cash back websites instead, like Ebates.

Hello, Bobby. Please know that we’re not big fans of fees either but in some cases they’re necessary for the proper and legal functioning of our cashback program. That said, the maintenance fee that we have in place is only triggered when (a) your account balance is below $10 AND (b) you have not made a cashback eligible transaction in 365 days. Please also note that the amount is $2.50 and not $4.00. Said another way, as long as you make one cashback eligible order though CouponCabin a year (for any amount), you'll never see this fee. If you have an account where this $2.50 was triggered, please just email me at support@couponcabin.com and we'll be happy to see if we can't get last month's fee cleared out for you.

I do not like the new pop up that comes up on the screen. It's large and obstructive so I have to make it go away so I can see to shop and then end up forgetting to hit the activate button before I purchase.
I still, for now, think they are the best cash back site but the new pop up is really pushing it

I came across this website about a year ago as they had cashback for a store that no other cashback website offered. I created an account and started receiving emails with the bonus cashback offers which were amazing. It took a while to be able to catch them as they were limited quantities but I made quite a few orders and received a lot of cashback without any problems. I am very careful about cashback websites terms so I told the rest of my family who lived with me that I have an account open so no one else should open one. However, I told my sister who is married and lives out of state to open an account as I had made $100s of dollars in cashback. She had been using it for a while and then she came to our house to visit. While here, she used my computer and placed a couponcabin order. Couponcabin closed both of or accounts and claimed we had violated the terms of using multiple accounts under the same IP address. I told them to look up our accounts and youll see that were in different states but they just send back the same email that I violated the terms with multiple accounts. When I responded again, they didnt even answer so I looked for a phone number to call them to sort this out and now see that there is none. What reputable company wouldnt have a phone number for customer service? I am extremely disappointed that they are not hearing me out that we are two different people who dont live together at all and she just happened to once use my network not with the intention of circumventing the terms. Only now did I see that lots of people have experienced this too.

CouponCabin has very few rules and the rules we do have are in place to make sure we can pay as much cash back as possible; it’s how we’re able to offer such great deals that you can’t find anywhere else. In addition, we make sure these few rules are prominently highlighted across the site when using our cash back program. That said, when accounts are identified as trying to get around these rules, we have no choice but to close those accounts.

I thought this was a great site until...
Recently I made a Hertz.com online order via couponcabin and didn't receive any cashback. Apparently because, "We just heard back from Hertz and, unfortunately, they advised us that we did not receive credit for referring your order to them. As a result they will not be paying us a commission for your order so we are not able to provide you with cash back for it." says couponcabin.

I do not understand why they have all these offers https://www.couponcabin.com/coupons/hertz/ on their site if a member cannot receive cashback for the same. I'm thinking... Just don't promise any offers then!

Sit for hours waiting to claim a coupon... time to claim it, clicked on it and couldn't get the coupon. Pop up said all have been claimed? Not worth your time to get a few bucks!

I was so excited to check out this site my friend reccommended to me. At first, I was browsing through every coupon offer and getting excited that I was saving a bunch of money. Now, it's the opposite.

Their site is structured in the wrong areas. They let you see the coupons that are expiring today- which is great- but the only other alternative is to browse through the zillion coupons they have for different websites classified alphabetically.

Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic way to save money- especially since it's free- but most of them are "free shipping", "10% off", "Buy 2 get one free"- which are usually stated ON the websites' main page. I honestly would rather search google for coupons after I have a checkout screen ready- it would save me more time then shopping for coupons.

When I first joined this site, I was extremely happy with it because I was paid quickly for the first $7 I claimed. Since that time, I have discovered more and more "rules" that I was not aware of in the beginning. Don't get me wrong, these rules are printed for you to see, but unless you run into a problem, you do not encounter them. For instance, I had been using the site for a couple of months before I saw the rule that you could not use a cash back from the same store or brand but every 90 days. I did not know until today that there is a date listed among the payable items that can be as much as 100 days plus before the account is credited. Yes, it is there, I just didn't know what the date meant until further examination. I have overpaid for some items thinking I was going to make up the difference with my cash back, but it will be months before I get that payment. I am more than disappointed, but, I can't say it's CC's fault, I just wish all the do's, don'ts, can and can'ts had been more visible.

I was just like so many people who made these good reviews but I challenge you all to try to redeem one of their cash back that give $50 dollar in cash back or more off of $50. I PROMISE you your 4 or 5 star will go down to mines or less. This what happened to me I had been with them about 2 years never had any problem until I complained about not getting my $50 cash back offer from Puritans and they try to tell me I must ah disable my Ads or something and that's why I didn't get. I challenge them with my proof that I did everything by the book. Next, thing I know my account was terminated just like that. No warning, I just went to log in and it said I was restricted access. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because they were good to me up until this. Be aware, don't make my mistake those big cashback offers are a scam and if you dare to get one just know, YOU will not get your money and if you challenge them your account will be close with no message or any kind of warning. When you attempt to go on their website it will just state you violated one of their terms. That's the mistake I made. My violation was being proactive with the money that was due to me. If you ask for proof of the violation, they will cut off all contact stating their address that you need to write to their legal aid and they can no longer talk to you through email. I am adding to this this review since Coupon Cabin wants to respond with that statement about threats, profanity, and etc... are never tolerated. I just want you all to know I have never threaten or use any of the allegations they claim. The remark is all lies. I have screen shot this. I give you all permission to put my replies on blast because these statement your agent made are all lies. I'm hurt that you have to justify you actions with lies. Just a underserving advice. You all need to be careful because if you do this to the right person they could sue you all for definition of character.

I used to be an active member of their website using their great member-only coupons. However, starting from last year, they started limiting my account and suspending it multiple times for no good reasons and asked for multiple proofs! I feel cheated after I reactivated my account recently only to find out I cannot use their member-only coupons anymore because they changed their rules! There any many many restrictions imposed on their member-only coupons that is ridiculous! Their only advantage over rival website was their member-only coupons, but with their new rules and restrictions, they lost it! They cannot compete in cashback offerings to websites like RetailMeNot or Rakuten!

It's almost scammy when you just start out. They showed me a really good offer ($20.00 cash back on Clarisonic orders of $100.00 or more), but they only gave me like 5 minutes to claim it. Seeing as the time was ticking down, I rushed to place my order. Only after I placed my order, I see all the exclusions that apply! Ended up that I did not qualify for the cash back. I could have waited until the next day to purchase my Clarisonic through Ebates and I could have received at least $12.00 cash back, instead of none.

Ebates does not have any of these exclusions. Which makes me think, that even if you use a promotion code, even if you open a new browser before submitting your order... blah, blah, blah, they still get their cut (for "referring" you. But they make it extremely hard for you to get your portion.

I feel like I've been scammed.

Honestly, the only time I ever shop is when I have promotion codes to use, so I guess I wouldn't qualify for most of the offers. I guess couponcabin is just not for me, unless I'm willing to pay full price, and then 3 months later get cash back.

The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because I feel like the website has potential if they got rid of some of the exclusions...

Hi, Stella. There are no exclusions listed on CouponCabin for Clarisonic purchases. The standard cash back rate for that store today is 12%, so you would earn at least $12 on an order of $100 or more, even without a Members Only offer or coupon code. Just make sure that you are logged in to your CouponCabin account before you click, or we won't be able to track and credit your purchase.
