Business History

Confido Limited is a new start business set up to simplify the comparison of energy prices and plans in the Republic of Ireland. The website which supports domestic electricity and gas price comparisons was launched at the end on 2017 and is provided as a free and anonymous service. A website catering to business electricity and gas users will be launched in the second half of 2018 as a subscription service.

Andrew Murphy is founder and managing director and has responsibility for the company's overall vision and strategy, as well as the day to day operations which includes the design and development of the software systems that underpin the business.

Andrew is a recent settler to these shores and prior to founding Confido had spent the bulk of his working life within the asset finance industry in the United Kingdom and Zimbabwe. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Information Systems and Management from the University of London.

He is a keen runner and takes part in many half-marathon events around the country.
