I've used ComGateway a few times this past year, they've been spot on with everything, from notifications when a package arrives, to great customer service and responsiveness when I've had general enquiries. ComGateway use FedEx, and each parcel has arrived quickly and in good condition. I cannot fault ComGateway, they are really good.
I've ordered an important parcel which has been shipped to comGateway in Portland Oregon, now it's stuck there! I'm desperately trying to organise shipment to Australia but can't. The parcel is status red. No clue or ability to deal with the problem on the website. No answer from any of comGateway's support emails. Phone number doesn't work. I'm completely stuck. No help available. Cannot reach a human or get any help. This is a disaster! How does a customer get any support at all?

How does a customer get any support at all?
I began using comgateway about 10 years ago. Initially I purchased quite a lot of items and the service was great. However over the past two years I have used them intermittently and the service and systems are terrible. My guess is they have expanded too quickly and cannot keep up with the service levels. The shipping rates are also not transparent and the discount codes for shipping have become misleading, but you'll only know once they have your items at their facility and you have no choice but to use them. Currently and hence the scathing review, as I'm fed up l with them, they have lost two of my packages. And while I would like to work through these problems as I just want my purchases delivered. (obviously I've paid other suppliers for these) worst of all, while they automate all forms of your contact with them they do not respond and you cannot contact them any other way. Currently my two packages are somewhere in their facility. Most likely in someone else's delivery box which means they will be able ship my items to themselves which is my main concern.
Despite 4 attempts to contact comgateway over the past 7 days, with no response from comgateway I suspect I will never receive the items I have paid for.
Don't use comgateway.

Now seen dozens of others with same experience. Seems new owners are collecting packages and on selling.

I've purchased the "live estimate shipping cost", which I was told that the shipping cost is US$ 102.80. However, when I check on my profile the cost of the shipping became $132.05, the most ridiculous thing is that they also add a Surcharge of $38.62( which I am totally unaware of), Insurance of $4.06(fair enough cost).
The hidden cost is a rip-off and given a chance I wouldn't ever want to ship my stuff with such a dishonest company. Deal at your own risk!

With poor customer support and service. My package stucked there since 2nd May and till today after
Writing to them which they replied 12 days later, nothing done. I paid in full and send them proof of payment with there shipping confirmation and yet goods not sent. Bunch of scammers.
Shipping rate is very high, since small packages all get applied 15kg rate on it since it is considered "bulky".
They forgot to scan one of my packages, of which I already had delivery notice, and was only registered after I repacked (which is not cheaper anyway, and will not compensate the repacking fee)
From 30 April 2023 and maybe before it appears this company has stopped delivering parcels, including parcels it has received but not forwarded.
Company has become unresponsive to all emails, messages and calls.
They take their own sweet time and cancel orders at their own behest. Made an order 25 November and it won't even reach my US address until 18 December, so no chance of a Christmas delivery in Aus. 1 other order cancelled despite me asking them to proceed and no response when I ask why. Must be another provider out there.
I last used comGateway about 10+ years ago, they still constantly send me email regarding "possible" shipments in my name even when I told them there's no possibility. They refuse to do anything about it. AVOID AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU WANT A LIFETIME OF SPAM EMAILS!

Extremely bad service. It's been 3 working days and my package still not assigned to my account! The customer service told me that they may take another 2 working days. Definitely not recommend.

Last Friday, there were no significant operations at the warehouse due to weather conditions of heavy snow and ice. Few employees were able to come to work. Their safety is our priority. Even after a successful transaction they demanded without any reason copies of personal IDs and copies of credit card transactions.
Stay away from this company.

The shipment has been abandoned at customs in Guayaquil. I was not aware that nicotine gum was not allowed/needed a Ministry of Public Health allowance to be let into the county of Ecuador. I was told that I needed to be aware of local rules/customs about shipments of goods and perhaps so, but that is not my wheelhouse. I would think that a shipping company would have some ideas as to how to break apart a large package or have some knowledge of what may be allowed and what may not be since a shipping company does this for a living. Will be using a mule service/alternative shipping company from now on.

ComGateway/HopShopGo have been acquired. The process has been slow, messy, and completely lacking in transparency. Support has evaporated, packages have gone missing, and delays are constant. I no longer recommend ComGateway. They need to apologise and explain.

Head and shoulders above
I have used quite a few shipping forwarding companies. ComGateway stands out as having the best personal customer service team. No company is perfect, but I have been very satisfied with their support, especially for special requests where they have always done their best to be accomodating. Items are always well packaged which is a peace of mind I really appreciated. Thanks cG.
4 times the normal freight cost was charged, they would not inspect the goods, the goods to confirm weight, goods turn out to be fake not real. Do not use this service its a rip-off to scam you with excessive freight costs.
Beware they are big scammer, they received my product and i paid for shipping, after two days they closed my account without any reason, saying the product will be returned to merchant where it came from. No return tracking no email response they are big scammer go for any other reshipping site any any but not comgateway big liars scammers.
For an item I purchased that weighs 11kg and paid less than $270 US, I paid OVER $170US in freight, even though they originally estimated the cost at $80 only. The add-on costs are a JOKE and should have also been included in the cost estimate.
If there is another option, i will take it in future and never use this company again.

Their improved website doesn't sync with their service provided. I had 6 packages which includes 3 sets of circular knitting needles, 6 skeins of very light weight yarn, 4 Christmas ornament holders and 8 Christmas ornaments of 3' diameter. They charged me for 9.5kg. They didn't state the volume but only the chargeable weight, so I paid without rechecking further. Not until I receive a tracking information from them that on DHL airway bill, the total weight indicated is 9lbs, NOT 9.5 kg.
I contacted their Customer Service, they said comGateway charged me for the volume (which was never shown on the dashboard) instead of the total weight. And that I need to send email to request for repacking (such a non-user-friendly service, can they have this option appeared on the dashboard when I check-out?). Stressed that their costs are charged in the same way as DHL. They just offered to waive my repacking fee for my next order - which will never happen as I will not use their service anymore.
Totally disappointed and so not trustworthy, while my orders are already at their warehouse, there's no way I could judge if their charges are reasonable, can only pay what they are charging.

The day is Black Friday 2020, I tried to order a laptop from bestbuy.com myself and ship it to Malaysia using MyUS or Ezipoz but unfortunately, BestBuy didn't accept my debit card since it is not issued in the US. So, I had no option other than to try Comgateway since it is the only shipping company that has the BuyFORMe as far as I know. It should work like this, you send them the link of the item you are willing to get, you pay to Comgateway using your credit card or whatever and they will buy for you from the website but, you have to pay extra for that service. In my case, the item I wanted was for 1200 USD and I paid an extra 30 something USD for the service (The original price for the BuyForMe service was 120 USD but it was discounted since it was Black Friday). Anyways, no problem until now by me.
After I paid in full, I sent them an Email immediately asking them to hurry up with the purchase since it is black Friday and there is a huge discount on what I want. After half a day, they responded and asked me for ID verification and my bank statement to verify the payment! OK, I sent them what they asked for in 1 hour, and luckily the item was still on sale so I asked them to hurry up with the purchase for the 2nd time. After a while, the guy replied that it will take from 1-2 BUSINESS DAYS! You must be kidding me! Why didn't you mention that before I pay so I could find another solution! 1-2 business days to "Verify the payment" then they will go purchase what I want... that means they will go with the purchase on Tuesday or Wednesday to get a Black Friday deal!
The next day, the item's price jumped 300 USD. I sent them an email telling them what happened and how disappointed I am cause I missed the day because of them and asked what shall I do next for the refund but, it is almost a day now and they still didn't reply.
In conclusion, the least I can say is that this company is A JOKE. The website is misleading, I am quoting from their FAQ answers, "We start processing BuyForMe orders as soon as we receive them", It didn't mention anything about 1-2 business days to START Making the purchase otherwise I wouldn't pay in the first place.
Also, the customer service experience was absolutely hideous.
My recommendation, DON'T use this company!
On the 19th of July, I received an e-mail from comGateway stating that my BuyForMe order had been shipped to my U.S. Address at this timing on the 16th of July.
Today, I was informed by your customer service that my order was cancelled. If the item was already purchased and shipped out, how can you tell me that it is out of stock two weeks later?
This is completely unacceptable.
Do not, I repeat DO NOT use this company. I used two of their services to ship clothes to Mexico - BuyForMe and later shipping to my home address, and while everything seemed to be going well, once the shipment was out of the US and I had an estimated delivery date, everything went wrong. For whatever reason, the shipment was routed from the US to Singapore and then to Mexico, and was then delayed for TWO MONTHS - I contacted comGateWay customer service several times, and never ever received a satisfactory explanation or solution. Once my shipment was finally released from customs and on its way to me, the DHL Mexico courier handed me a bill for 141 USD (in Mexican pesos) and told me I had to pay handling, customs and custody charges for my clothes in order for them to be delivered, or they would be lost. I contacted comGateway a week ago about this, and they have been utterly unresponsive. WORST service - truly, spare yourselves.

First off, this outfit is the most expensive in the market on shipping rates alone. Second, they have, over the years, added and increased their fees added to every package, such that the shipping charge is only 70-80% of the total. Third, they "overestimate" the size of the packages that arrive - not by much - but adding a centimeter in dimension in each direction adds nearly 3kg to the shipping weight of each package. Please measure next time a large package arrives and see if you get the same numbers they quote.
Then, we come to customer service. They have some of the most unfriendly, passive-aggressive, unhelpful customer service I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing. My last transaction with them, my family had inadvertently sent some mail - mostly junk mail - to my comGateway box. ComGateway does not deliver "personal mail" - OK fine. They helpfully offered to fill in a return form. So far, so good. The next thing that happens is I get a charge for $16.78 - which I must pay or I can no longer access my account. I ask what is going on, and they say that they can only send return mail via UPS! They only bothered to mention this after my account was locked. This was not the first bad experience with their customer service, but it will certainly be the last. There are too many options out there to put up with expensive and poor service.
Had a few items delivered as it seemed cheaper, however they billed me for what I thought was their shipping and useage charge. A couple of months later I get an invoice from Fedex saying I haven't paid my shipping charge. The same amount I paid the site! Effectively they have taken my money but offered me no service at all. As further inspection of their site informs me I'm responsible for any shipping charges! Didn't save me any money at all. So just don't bother.
