NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE OR $$$

To anyone buying from this sight know what you are getting into before purchasing. I was purchasing a dress for my sister for her Wedding and we read over the return policy, even called and it was not what was written or told over the phone. So we ordered a dress she wanted. Since it was pricy I was emailed stating they needed a copy of my ID front and back in order to process the card. In the email was information about a return policy. I read it over and to my surprise the return policy was not what I thought. I emailed back as they said they can not process the credit card until my ID was given. So I started questioning the lady that emailed me about the return policy. I asked questions and I wanted to confirm everything was as she responded to me so I asked one more time! Keep in mind this is all true.
So I understand correctly.
1.I can only order one dress at a time? ( Which to me sounded crazy that there's a limit on amount you can order)
2. If I choose to return the dress there is a 30% stocking fee? (Yes)
3. If I choose to return I pay the shipping? (Yes)
4. If I order my size and it doesn't fit properly I am able to( Return it and get another size) and not be charged a restocking fee? (You have to pay even if not customized)
Following these emails because I emailed back saying I did not want to order the dress anymore they came back and said the credit card went through and they processed my order. I was blown away since they needed my ID to process it. After questioning the lady she gave me no reason why they processed it. I knew it was because I asked to cancel it. I told her that I wanted to cancel my order and get a complete refund due to the fact they were not suppose to run my credit card without my ID as told to me over email. Mind you it would take a day at a time when I would email to get a response. They charged me a $187 restock fee anyways and did not refund my full purchase. I will NEVER recommend to order from this company to anyone. The dress was over $2,000 and I found it on POSHMART for $650.00 unused. This company refunds if the dress or items as listed are not correct when you receive them which is great. The dress came in and my sister loves it. Everything happens for a reason but WARNING look elsewhere.

Terrible customer service. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Highly not recommended. My sister went into the store to get a dress customized, but when it arrived in the mail in Cambodia 3 months later, it came in a different color from what she chose AND IT DID NOT FIT AS WELL AS THE ONE SHE TRIED ON IN STORE EVEN THOUGH SHE PAID FOR IT TO BE CUSTOMIZED. And she would have made do with it if it wasn't such an a ugly color. Emailed their stylist Clay 3 times, no reply. Called them about 10 times. At least. No answer. Now she has to look for an alternative as her wedding is coming up. (Her wedding is in December.)

They FINALLY responded to my sister in late October after more than 2 weeks. BUT only after we started leaving negative feedbacks on their social media pages. My sister was asked to send her dress back from Cambodia to LA for a refund. When we brought the dress back, we were told by their staff that the refund was only 70%. But we wanted a full refund since it was their fault and it was causing so much inconvenice, not to mention my sister had to start looking for a different dress 2 months from her wedding. But the staff told us verbitam, it was, "EITHER 70% OR NOTHING". Rude.

They then deleted my sister's comments off their instagram and block her. They might reply to you on social media in a nice warm fuzzy way but behind closed doors and in private, they do not give a damn. After we left an overwhelming amount of comments, a staff named Abigail emailed my sister that she had to TAKE DOWN ALL THE COMMENTS AND FEEDBACKS ON THEIR PAGE, before they give the other 30% refund.

To be honest, coming from a family full of females and having worked at retail oursleves, we have done a fair amount of shopping, and this is by far the WORST post-sale customer service we have ever encountered. After taking your money, they dust theirs hands off you.

People, what Cocomelody show you and let you try on in store is not the same quality as what you will get after you pay them

SHAME.

Where do I begin? If you are having doubts about purchasing your wedding dress online, like I did, LET ME TELL YOU, YOU SHOULD! I painstakingly gave my measurements through back and forth emails, so I must say, they were responsive in that regard (via email, that is), and it wasn't until after I received my dress and it was SOOOOO HORRIBLY BAD and I tried to reach someone by phone to resolve my issues, did I realize they are NOT in California, the dresses come from China. That also explains why my emails were never answered in U.S. time, they would always answered 2 in the morning our time. Anyway, I ordered this dress custom, in ivory/champagne. I had the color swatches ahead of time. I received the dress, mind you, sent all the way from China in a plastic mailer, no box, no garmet bag! So, when I opened it, and saw the color of the underlay, I thought it was some sort of cover! But it was the dress! It was PEACH NOT CHAMPAGNE! And as I look at the dress further, my heart sank even more. It is the cheapest looking article of clothing I've ever seen in my life! Loose threads on every applique, and just the gaudiest, god-awful thing I've ever seen! I'm pretty sure my review will not make it live, if it does, please, please, please don't make the same mistake as I did! $650 down the drain, and I was on a strict budget and had to purchase another gown (in store)! They refunded me a measly $154., after MANY heart-wrenching emails, they never took any responsibility! Don't know who's writing the reviews on this site, because I bought the dress based upon them, sooooooo... all I can say is, are they real? I know now they are NOT!

Relief! It's Perfect!

I wanted to give a detailed review to help other brides who are thinking of buying their gown online. I am from New Zealand and when I started looking at gowns I just could not bring myself to spend thousands on a dress for just one day. So instead I started looking online. I did quite a lot of research into different websites, and read a lot of terrible stories. I found that many websites looked unreliable e. G all the pictures looked stolen from designers and prices were too good to be true. Then I found cocomelody.com. There prices were slightly more than other online sites, but still far cheaper than in store boutiques. This actually made me feel better about it. I did plenty of research, and read as many independent reviews as I could find. I found that it was mostly positive. I decided that I would risk it and I ordered from Cocomelody quite early, so that if it didn't go to plan I would still have time to find another option. I read every single piece of information on the website and I was appreciative of how they were quite honest about purchasing online, that their dresses are made in China (like most dresses to be honest) and I also felt reassured that they had physical stores. Also that there was a chat section so I could ask questions. I did ask several questions about fabric options etc, and the progress of my dress once I had ordered and for each request, the person made contact with the tailor and had sent me an email with a quality reply within 24 hours which was great.

Which cost $590 NZD. I did a custom made order, so I supplied my measurements. It said that production time was 30 days, plus 10 days delivery. I was alerted that my dress was completed and being sent out after about 33 days, so pretty spot on, then delivery only took about 3 or 4 days. They provided a tracking number so I could see the progress of delivery at all times. The package arrived just in a plastic bag, so not packaged particularly carefully, but mine was not a creasing fabric so it was ok.
I was extremely nervous at all times throughout my purchase. I was quite anxious that it would be different, poor quality, or just not turn up at all. Opening the dress was exciting and I was so relieved to see that the dress was just perfect! It was exactly the same as the pictures on the website - of course I was aware that the pictures were of tall thin models and I am short and curvy so knew it would look different. But the fabric, style, cut, everything was exactly as I had hoped for. And If I expected the quality not to be great from an online purchase I was wrong. The quality of the fabric and sewing/stitching was fantastic. My mother is a sewer and she was very impressed. I do need to make some alterations as it is just a little loose on me, however this is entirely my fault as I was generous with the measurements as I was aware that to take it in is easier than it would be to let it out. Cocomelody did say that brides should always expect to make some alterations to make it perfect so I was expecting this. I am very happy with my dress, I feel beautiful in it and I cannot wait to show my hubby to be on my wedding day. I am happy to give the dress, and Cocomelody.com a five star review!
