Misrepresented very expensive ripped off

Coast 2 Coast Van Lines is a broker. They contract your move out. First they underestimate what property you have. They do not visit your home. We did our square footage while on the phone. Any contract with them us null and void once the contractors show up. We were promised 30 days free storage. That was not honored by the movers. The movers and packers were Los Angeles Transfer and Storage
They showed up with one small truck. We were on a tight schedule and packing already stated when we were told we had too much stuff. They needed more money. First red flag. But we were under a tremendous amount of stress and went with it. By the end of the day packing was not finished and they filled up the truck. Said they would be back next day with another truck. Next day they had a Uhaul rental. Same size as their truck. Packers were too chatty and towards mid Dat just gave up. Representative was working very hard to finish. He admitted it was hard to hire people and this group wanted to stop to go get high. Should have complained to Los Angeles Transfer about the workers but we let it go for the sake of the Rep. We were driving across country to mover our pets. We needed the 30 day storage. Paperwork from Los Angel's Transfer was rushed. One form we didn't even initial. Date given was assumed when our property would be in our state. We got a call that they were delivering. We were still driving. If we didn't make it back then we would be charged more money for storage. We made it back in time and they would not deliver then. Next day. Driver shows up and says he cannot bring the truck to our house. Claimed he could not drive it there because of bridge weight restrictions. He wanted more money to shuttle our belongings. We argued with Coast 2 Coast and LA Transfer. They also wanted to be paid in full. We had no proof he even had our property. He had no paperwork. No bill of laden. We wanted proof. First we were told he would get pictures. Then picture of the signs. Then drive us to the signs. None of that happened. When we asked to speak with supervisors both LA and driver said their supervisors don't talk to customers. We were very upset. Back and forth the whole day. We didn't want to pay this driver because he had no paperwork. No business card. We had only the word of LA Transfer that it was ok. At this point we honestly were scared we were being ripped off. By end of the day we had to pay for storage. Then it took days to hear when we would be seeing our stuff. Payment was still in question. Handing a driver over 14k was fishy. When the driver did bring some of our stuff he was late. Had three hires with him. When qe told him that LA Transfer said they would get paid he got upset. Then found that zelle had a dialy limit. We could not pay it all at once. So we gave Driver some cash and attempted to pay rest to LA Transfer. At this point the day was over. He did at one point start to unload. This is when we found out that the boxes only had numbers on them. No description of contents. Note. Driver still did not have any paperwork. So I got our copy of the list and again. No description of contents. So I started to open them so I could tell them where the stuff goes. The driver then yelled no. We are only moving a box once. In the end. They stacked our stuff into the garage hap hazardly. Threw stuff on top of pile. Our intention was to put only certain items in the garage. Now it is stuffed with misc property. Then Easter weekend. No driver. A week goes by. Driver said he didn't know when. We said we need 24 hrs notice now so we could get the day off from job. Late night he called. Not 24 hrs notice. Ok. Then he said Saturday. He called back and said he could not. We have been at this for 3 weeks. LA Transfer had no control of the driver. They offered no compensation. Not even to give back the storage fee. Nothing. We paid in full 2 weeks ago. This started on 3/18. It is now May 7th. We still do not have any word as to when our stuff would be finally brought. Or even if they plan on taking what is in the garage into the house. They wanted more. Money to do that. We would have to hire our own help. Do not use any of these companies. The latest. Driver was sick a few days ago and in another state. We have not heard from him since. We are traumatized over this whole process. We were so afraid to even hire someone because of the nightmares people report. Also. When I let LA Transfer about the packers. Her response was. Well you didn't tell me about it then so they don't care. We didn't report it because well we had no choice. Afraid to even complain. Customer service was useless with all if the companies. Their side is we didn't pay up. But we wanted paperwork... proof. Get this... when I revisited the proof part and said no paperwork her response. Well you didn't say that. I am sure I did because well that would have been proof. Beware. We fell for all the red flags. Do not use a broker especially Coast 2 Coast Van lines and do not use Los Angeles Transfer and Storage.
