I'm not usually one to leave public reviews online, but this is one company that I have to be honest and speak up about to warn anyone who is even considering purchasing from Cleanse & Co. Just like many people who have spoken up on here, I too have had an absolute nightmare of an experience with this company.

After purchasing 3 candles from Cleanse & Co as gifts for family and friends, I waited patiently for my order to arrive. 8 days later, not only had my order not arrived, but I had not even received a notification to say that it had been shipped. I found this strange as we are both located in Melbourne. I then emailed them enquiring about the whereabouts of my order and received no reply. I then sent them a direct message on their Instagram page and also received no reply, even though the message had been 'seen'. 15 days later and my order had still not even been shipped, and with no reply or communication from the endless amount of emails and direct messages I sent to find out the status of my order. After a final email I sent to Cleanse & Co on the 16th day after placing my order to try and get this resolved, I was contacted by the owner of the company. She was extremely rude and arrogant, called me impatient and spoke down to me like I was a pig for simply questioning where my order was. She then told me my entire order has been refunded and to never purchase from her business again and then blocked me from all social media. I received no apology or explanation, just refunded and childishly blocked from all communication platforms. This company is an absolute NIGHTMARE to deal with, the customer service is hideous and appalling, and they should be ashamed of themselves for being so quick to take peoples hard-earned money and not deliver what they have paid for. She talks about love and good energy, but all this company gave me was stress, frustration and anxiety.

I then received an email from Cleanse & Co on the 26th May 2020, offering all of their customers $10 off their entire order if they leave a good review on Google Reviews, ProductReview and Site Jabber. This speaks volumes to me. It is an absolute bribery and a disgusting and dirty way to run a business, as all the 5 Star reviews on here have only been written to get a $10 discount and are in no way a true reflection of what this company is really like. She has clearly done this to flush out all the TRUE negative reviews on here. If you want to know about the REAL Cleanse & Co, I would STRONGLY recommend bypassing the 5 Stars and going straight to all the 1 Star reviews, as I can honestly say from my personal experience that they are all a clear and honest reflection on what this company is really like and the experience you will be receiving if you purchase from them.

In my opinion, all of those bribery reviews from the 26th May 2020 onwards should be taken down and deleted by Google Reviews, as they are deceiving, misleading and completely unfair to anyone who is thinking of purchasing from Cleanse & Co because it is an absolutely false testament to what this company is truly like.

I ordered two packages from Cleanse & Co; one with a crystal-infused candle and other goodies totalling $120, and one with two candles totalling $64.

It is my worst-ever experience dealing with a business. They never shipped my $120 order (despite paying for express shipping) and my $64 order turned up with poor-quality wax pouring and marks down the side of my candles, a lid punctured from the inside, and no labels or branding on the candle.

Meanwhile, I tried to contact them about my missing $120 order through two e-mails, a submission through their web form, and and Instagram private DM - zero response but they were still active on social media, posting sales, making stories, and encouraging others to buy on their *******@cleanseandco.

I had to resort to tagging Cleanse & Co in comments and asking them where my order was to draw attention to the situation. At this stage I found others with the same issue whose comments were being deleted and blocked. The owner "Hayley" finally replied to my DM accusing me of slandering her business and telling me to be more compassionate - three weeks after I had placed an order with credit card details on her website and she had not bothered to ship it or make any effort to respond to communication. She then told me my name was not in the system - before refunding me (allegedly - the money has not come through yet) from the very same system. I screenshotted all of this to use as evidence in reports as I expected she would block me (she has).

During this correspondence, in which she was sarcastic, arrogant and nonapologetic, I noticed she had grammatical errors which make me suspect Cleanse & Co might not even be operating within Australia as claimed, which would explain poor quality control and delays.

Cleanse and Co does not display their ABN or an address or contact number on their website (only e-mail address and Instagram link) so contacting them to resolve issues is extremely difficult. Furthermore, they don't use merchants such as PayPal so it is extremely difficult to dispute a payment if something goes wrong. Finally, they have disabled Facebook reviews and aren't on Google My Business so people can't leave reviews directly.

I live in fear that this business owner will retaliate against me for speaking out about her business. I have reported her to the ACCC. Please reconsider buying their products.
