If I could give negative stars they would recieve negative a million. I have been a member since 06 and this site has done nothing but become an endless downward spiral of trash, full of abuse of power and one way roads of rude behavior coming from adults.

Family friendly? More like if you even so much as dare communicate with any rl friends or family through the site its an auto ban for cheating. So you always have to trade with strangers and even then you could get banned for the trade value being, in their eyes, an unbalanced value. Maybe I have multiple of what I offered that you considered "high value" and I was seeking to complete collections regardless of rarity (the rarity system is trash, so you have zero clue anyways) The other party was very well knowledged of the site being a long standing member like myself and with trading, they did not give a crap of the "value" either and saw it as valuable to themselves, which is why they accepted my trade. I feel like if both parties are in agreement, the site should have zero say. I also feel like it shouldn't result in a permanent ban. The other party also got banned.

How this site is still active is beyond me. I can see if there's open investigations for pedophiles, there's plenty of them and I feel as if many members of the mod team are ones too which is why they keep so distant from the community, are inexplicably rude, and allow all of the things to continue, never attempting to fix anything. If you have an issue, auto ban. Can't remember your password? Auto ban. Some people can get away with saying whatever they want no matter how foul or rude and people will get banned for pointing it out and asking them to stop. There's no stability with the moderation power and the creator doesn't even seem to give a flying crap no matter if you were a paying member for well over a decade or are a child telling you that someone is rping with them inappropriately. There's a reason why a lot of sites have age restricted RP forums, this one however could care less and openly allow it with welcoming arms it seems.

This is a kids site and even adults are asking what the problem is. The harshness towards kids once I became an adult myself is still mind blowing to me. They were as harsh then as they are now, why did you make a site available for children if you can't manage to be kind even in the least bit? You're all adults. You have been since the site was made. There are children with more respect then any of you.

Thank you for robbing me of my time and money with your messed up "community". I'm "glad" that many like myself who got handed the short stick paid for your livelihood and got shat on inreturn. We supported you because the idea was great but you executed it like crap and continued. When asked to stop and change you turned to banning. I hope your site continues to crash as the truth comes out. I hope more get the guts to write their own horror stories about this site. I have plenty more were that came from if any are curious, many found registered sex offenders, many inappropriate messages, many screenshots of mods being out of hand.

For those who made it this far, I can assure you that your time and money can very well be better spent elsewhere. This site is so unsafe I don't know how it's still around and it's clearly ran by toddlers, wait, I can't even say that as my 3 year old has more respect. How low can you go? CS low.

Staff is rude, unprofessional, and abuses their power, read context:

For context, I'm a member of a system. One of my alters who is a young child, created a chicken smoothie account in 2014. Fast forward years later and I made a new account, because I forgot that my alter even made one. I asked CS staff on countless occassions to help me enter, which they were unhelpful about. After asking the alter, who again is a child, I managed to actually access the account. I sent a trade so that I would have all of my child alter's pets on our new, more easily accessed account, and then asked for the old account to be deactivated. Every one of the pets got reverse traded, no warning, no description, and then after three days anwswred my message about giving me my pets back saying they took my pets because you aren't allowed to transfer pets.

My alter is literally seven years old. I was transparent the whole way through, saying not to flag me as cheating, which is also why I asked them to delete the old account so it wasn't suspicious. Deleting a seven year old's pets they managed to collect for years, when they obsess and hyper fixate, is very callous. They acknowledged they had been getting my support questions but hadn't reached out to suggest what I can do. It's not even that we were using it to exploit the stupid easter eggs, or whatever. Just... sending back pets that literally belonged to us. They should not have been able to do this, and the rule doesn't even make sense. Every pet site allows trading to a new account, so long as you're not doing anything suspicious, espcecially if you delete the old account. Well, congratulations, Chicken Smoothie, on making a seven year old alter get really excited for getting their pets back and then make them have a meltdown when you snatched them all away with no warning. I'll never use this site again.

I joined chickensmoothie in 2011 after foopets deleted their forums. And as a 13 year old who'd lost their community I found solace in a similar website with more features and a thriving community. But, this was just my first impression, you see as time went on my experience on chickensmoothie changed, drastically. And today I'd like to share this with you.

As I previously stated, I was 13 when I joined Chickensmoothie (CS), and I was almost immediately drawn to the oekaki forums. A place where users were making art, adoptable characters and, in general, having fun. What I didn't realize is that this would bring me YEARS of abuse and trauma I still live with today at 21.

The oekaki forums are the wild, wild west of CS. They're TERRIBLY regulated. At 13 I met an adult who I will refer to as "B", this is not their username nor their name. B was interested in roleplaying with a character I had one a few months prior in a contest I spent hours on. We became friends, added each other on skype and roleplayed for a long while. I don't want to speak of all the things B did, but one that specifically stands out is when I was only 15 years of age, this person made a skype group chat with myself and several other people. There were maybe 8 or 9 minors in the chat, myself included, and 3 adults, B included. B, one of the other adults and a 17 year old (a minor in her state) would post NSFW content in the group. We'd leave and be added back repeatedly, despite asking to be left alone, that we'd join back when that was over. They'd harass us with disgusting RP concepts (ex: eating and barfing up a member of the group) over and over to where we made ANOTHER group to get away from it before they finally got the message. B had admitted to MANY disgusting things. Having a crush on me when I was a minor, dated a minor online, being attracted to things I didn't need to know about

And the worst part is, because this happened on SKYPE, nothing could be done. I personally didn't report this to the CS mods, but someone else had. They were basically told that since it happened off site, that nothing could be done. Let me reiterate. On a childrens website, someone over the age of 18 DATED A MINOR and they didn't remove them because the proof was on skype. Isn't that just Lovely.

But you see it doesn't end there. The oekaki forums CONTINUE to get worse. Recently two 18+ users were found out having twitter accounts depicting underage characters in sexual situations, ya know, CP. One of these users owns a VERY popular adoptable species on the website that you can breed. But specifically? You can breed two characters that are second cousins. Yeah, incest. This person ALSO has a hidden rule for banned users from said adoptables that is ILLEGAL. My friend group has been trying for YEARS to get this taken care of with NO luck. The only progress I made is when I reported them for the illegal rule, but despite this, it still goes on behind the scenes. Not to mention the fact that the staff of this adoptables BULLIED a minor off ALL art websites and CS Staff assisted in BANNING them from the site! They were a COPPA user!

I've seen artists BLATANTLY breaking oekaki forum rules and getting a pass because they were popular or the oekaki moderator, just happened to like them. I love that the oekaki moderators that blatantly abuse their power! What a great CHILDRENS website!

This is just a DROP in the bucket of things I've seen on Chickensmoothie. It is NOT safe for children. Please do NOT let your kids on this website. And please dear GOD fix your moderation.

I've been a member of this website for almost a decade at this point, and I've never had so many regrets. The moderators are legitimately terrifying and distant from their community, and the people promoted to positions of power abuse their powers far too often and show blatant favortisim to their rulebreaking friends.

The obvious selling point of this website are the 'adoptable characters' that are released monthly. Having been on the website for a decade now, I can confirm that this aspect of the website is the most heavily advertized and the most dissappointing fufilment wise. There are no rewards or benefits for collecting the site adoptables, and there are no paid user customization options like Neopets, Furvilla, Flight Rising and other similar websites (Where you can pay USD for a completly custom character). Each user has the chance to get the exact same pets and the exact same items. There are technically 'rarity limits', as certain designs have a small percentage of being the final outcome... but it is terribly easy to exploit through alternate accounts or with a close knit friend group.

There are 18+ boards, and while the content is explicitly nonsexual due to site rules, it is very uncomfortable to visit those boards. Its far too easy for children to lie about their age and gain access to these forum boards.

The oekaki (art forums) and Roleplay forums are honestly the worst in my opinion. The oekaki moderators are very inconsistant, punishing users for covering adoptables with covers (a harmless infraction) and not punishing them or posting innapropriate content. I was there for the content seen in Val C.'s review; and I was one of the people who attempted to report that user multiple times over the years. There are more people who post similar content, and havent been punished as of yet. There are constant cases of art theft and character theft, and the site moderators do next to nothing to prevent it.

The adoptable species / user made adoptables are the worst. Never before have I seen such blatant overcharging of site currency/ USD for the absolute minimum of a character design on a premade base. While there is a policy on CS to try and prevent this, the site mods and admins turn a blind eye to infractions constantly. The abuse of forum users by the creators and staff of the usermade adoptable species is also unacceptable. The website cs-discouse.tumblr.com showcase the toxicity of the usermade adoptables board, the abuse the users experience and more.
The roleplay boards are just as bad, with constant spamming of one-word posts or one sentence posts that are considered "roleplay posts". I don't know about you, but to me a proper roleplay role should be immersive and detailed, and not something you just do in one sentence.

Overall, I would avoid this website and switch to one that is more engaging at least. Try Furvilla, Mweor or even Pokefarm if you want 'adoptables' with some sort of forum.
