Went in to cash a check from capital one a girl there ive never seen named britiney told to come back the next day. She claimed she cant cash checks after 5. The next day the same girl told me the company she needed to talk to doesnt work saturdays and to come back monday. I Had to walk there monday when i ran out of gas and this girl acted very weird and kept asking me to try other places and telling me to open a bank account. Repeatedly suggesting other places to the point i was unconfortable. She kept entering my information wrong including my address snd even had me set up as a new customer when i had been on file with them for two years. Twice she said she crashed the system and each time kept trying to get me to go outside and wait telling me to have a cigarette it was gonna be awhile for her to reset the system each time. I eventually did after she finally submitted the check and told me it eas going to be 20 min for approval but i watched her through the window because she wad so insistant i leave and was acting so odd and the second she thought i wasnt looking i saw her reach across to the computer my check was verifying on and did something on the keyboard. I went right bavk in and she claimed my check was denied and refused to give me anything in writing stating such when i asked. She refused to give me the information as to why the check was denied or why she had flagged it claiming no micr which wasnt true and why she had insisted on using my old address instead of my current one on file or making any sense of any of it. I was so bothered by her that I called capital one the next day and found out she had actually cashed the check THREE TIMES and now i cant cash it AT ALL and if had i tried to cash it somewhere else I COULD HAVE BEEN ARRESTED FOR IT! This girl, Britiney, went to incredible lengths to do this with her 'crashing' the system to urging me to go outside the whole time and i saw her doing something while she was supposedly helping another customer at a different conputer during the time she claimed was just their company verifying the check the second she thought i wasnt looking. She entered my information multiple times and even scanned the check in repeately claiming the scanner didnt read it but what she did was convert my check to an electronic substitute three times then gave me back a worthless piece of paper then cashed them at my expense on top of making me look like a criminal who was cashing the same check multiple times. She lied about everything and screwed me out of $1000. I reported her to their corporate office and its plain as day i did not leave with one cent when they review their cameras. So i guess we will see what happens
I wonder if this has happened to anyone who did get arrested because of this girl
I first signed up with Check into Cash I believe in August. I never had done a loan before. My experience at first were great! Great customer Service. After Loan number 4 I fell into hard times and was unable to pay my loan. This was the end of September. I was offered to re loan, but I didn't want to keep re loaning over and over again, due to the high interest rate. What I wanted to do instead was make payment arrangements, and be done with loaning. I was denied the request and was told the only way payment arrangements was if my account was to go into collections. They also warned that they may still cash the check, which is understandable, since I signed off on it. I did warn them that the money will NOT be in my account. In the meantime, I contacted my bank, and she assured that as long as CIC doesn't cash my check using ACH, then it will boune and she'll take care of the rest. I called hem back, and Shawna reassured me that they don't use ACH, but manually. I told her to just let my case go to collections, and I'll work out a payment arrangement. This was early October. Fast forward to December 16th, I woke up with a NEGATIVE 390.00 on my bank account. I contacted my banker, who said an ACH check was cashed from CIC. I contacted their corporate office, and a man by the name of Dean said the check hasn't posted on their account yet. I went to my bank and it was confirmed that the check was processed. Dean lied to me. I asked Dean why collections never contacted me. That it was close to Christmas, and I only had $122.00 on my account. Had they contacted me, I would have worked out an arrangement. It was for $512.00. I would have gotten it paid off in a couple of months! Dean at that point got nasty with me and said there was nothing he could do. He insisted that the check hasn't posted on their account yet. Come to find out, the check posted on the 14th. I was NOT ONCE contacted by collections to make a payment arrangement, as promised by Check into Cash and by Dean (whom I spoke with a couple of months ago). I asked to speak with a supervisor, and was told he was gone for the day, but he was still there. This was 12pm. I understand my balance was past due, but what's upsetting was I made BOTH Check into Cash and their collections that I didn't have the money. I asked collections to contact me so I could work something out. I asked Shawna why she told me they didn't use ACH, Her explanation was Oh, that's for the state of Indiana. Check into Cash ruined my Christmas. I STRONGLY don't recommend. Try Advanced Cash. They'll actually work out a payment arrangement before sending your file to corporate/collections.
Oh, and just so you know, they do a credit check EACH time you re loan.
