Cheap SSL Security

They will only reply to you when it is convenient for them. Or when you are not asking them to honor their "Cheapest Price Guarantee" or etc. I bought an SSL with them and about a few hours later, I found another site selling the exact same thing for about 15% less. So I contacted them about their Price Guarantee and they have ignored me since then. The ticket will be open but they will not reply it but will reply others.

I would be very very careful if you are considering getting anything from them.

Shameful support. After your money is taken from you, there is no talk of any support. If you need to reissue your certificate a week after purchase, and the certification authority does not want to do this, the company will not reimburse your costs in any way. Damage to my company $750, no refunds or alternatives

After following their reissue instructions I was unable to renew my 2 year certificate meaning a year has been wasted.

After contacting their 24/7 support team, they finally responded after 5 days with useless information and have refused to refund the 2nd year thats been paid for but now unused due to it expiring and being unable to wait indefinitely for them to bother fixing the issue.

Its been a week and they still decide to give conflicting information on how to proceed and suggest I cancel the now valid certificate ordered elsewhere and let them try to issue the certificate with a phone system being unusuable until they sort it out.

They claim the process has changed so the instructions they ask you to follow are wrong. Well maybe a suggestion would be to update your instructions to be accurate

I signed up for a certificate for encrypted email. After three months, I received instructions that never worked. They refused to refund my money. I contacted my bank and file a dispute. They are crooks. They never deliver the product and their support is terrible.

I have been using this company for 6 websites for SSL and EV SSL. They are literally the worse SSL provider I have come across. After you purchase the SSL certificate- what they dont tell you is that they need to ' verify' you with their team. This can take weeks. In my last recent case of renewing my SSL ( just a simple renewal) they wanted to verify all over again- and they took 3 months! Despite email after email, I would get no help from support team, and no one to call. The result- 3 months of lost revenue, because my SSL certificate was out of date- and website was showing as ' dangerous' to customers because of it. This company may be cheap for SSL- but you get what you pay for.

I was surprised to see such negative reviews because I have issued 5 certs through Cheap SSL Security and they have never caused the problems I ran into. They are effectively retailers for the "big guys" like Comodo and Thawte and they do not control the issuing policies. They have always helped me get my cert at a very cheap price, and any issues with the certs have been because of the CA's procedures or requirements. For example, my latest renewal was only for 1 year instead of the 2 years I applied for - but that is because the issuer is currently only allowing 1 year renewals. They have clearly posted the "credit" that I have to reissue the cert for the final year on my account. I will continue to order certs from them and I have not seen any cheaper anywhere.

CheapSSLSecurity took my money twice and failed to deliver any product.

I made a purchase from my business account, it debited funds from my account but chucked me an error saying that address did not match card details.

I reached out, they advised that I make another purchase and they will look into the previous one. This time I used my personal account, same thing happened. Funds debited immediately yet again, a no show on the SSL certificate.

Support eventually go back to me claiming that they couldn't find the transaction and advised that I reached out to my bank. I reached out, my bank told me that there is no reason as to why they wouldn't be able to find the transactions.

I have never heard anything like it, yet to get my money back. DO NOT TRUST!

Over a month ago:
Me: "Why is our renew order still "Pending"? Some person phone me 2 weeks ago and confirm how I working for"

12 September:
"I understand your concern regarding the DBA (Doing business as) name in your order. I truly apologize for delayed response and for the inconvenience caused to you. In this regard, I have contacted the Comodo support and provided the details to them. Further, as per their request, I have submitted the case to Comodo support."

To day:
"Thank you for your response. If you want to cancel the order, you will need to cancel that on your end. You can do that by logging on to CheapSSLSecurity. I can however see that you are outside of the 15 day money back guarantee"

This is crap from the beginning to the end...

My site has been down for days as their verification process doesn't work and they ignore support requests, I urge everyone to get their certificate from somewhere else!

I purchased a SSL Cert and paid extra for support in case I ran onto problems.
They proudly boosted there service was the Cheapest and Best.
I tried to validate via Email but I could receive a email via any of the suggested address. I.e. Hostmaster, administrator, postmaster etc.
So I tried asking for help (after all I had Paid for it). No phone number. No response to email. Nothing.
Solution:
Hired an online IT Support contractor (Freelaner.com) and start again.
They used a different SSL Cert company and had it up and running in 1 hour.

Days later: A response from the CheapSSL Helpdesk

Conclusion:
Don't waste Time/Money using CheapSSLSecurity
I am sick of companies taking my money and blaming "higher than normal work loads" as an excurse for Bad management and Zero service.
