“Great site if you do your homework”

Great site if you do your homework. I never get involved in the bidding until the price starts to get higher. I always set limits for myself too, so I know when to stop if a certain auction isn't working out. All in all, I've come out well ahead though winning a couple things for well below retail. I'd recommend trying it, but 'different strokes for different folks'.

“Got deep in a bid war and had to cut my losses after...”

Got deep in a bid war and had to cut my losses after administration from cheapelectronics.com promised me a partial refund if I would use up the bids I had. So I did and haven't heard back since. Again, I have the email stating this promise to me so I used up my bids I had left and didn't buy anymore, a few minutes later the bidding ended and someone else won the item (after 3 days of this bid war going on). I wouldn't have stopped if it weren't for the promise of the partial refund... this was May 27th 2011 and I have emailed them every single day since and have not received a single response! This site is alright. I've found better deals going on "non-bidding" websites. I really haven't had any real problem with them. I've won a few gift cards and an ipod mini but thats about it. These sites are real easy to get sucked into essentially it's online gambling. But like I said I have found better deals on other websites like amazon, tigerdirect or overstock.

I really like this site and have nothing but good things to say about it. I would give this site 5 stars but personally I don't think they have alot of items up for auction. It would be great if they had more games and movies for auction but they dont. I do have a minor beef. My order didn't come on time it actually came 2 days after. I don't know if it was b/c the delivery date was the 4th of July or they just shipped it late but when I emailed them they apoligized and credited my account with 100 bids. I used them up stupidly and didn't win anything else but my nintendo 3ds came and it works good so i'm happy.

From reading that other dudes review about them promising you a refund and you not getting it i mean that sucks man but it's your own fault. You didnt have to gamble on the site and their policy does say no refunds. Its one thing to be bitter about it but it makes you look like an $#*! when the site says no refunds and you complain about them not refunding you.

For all of you newbies out there who think their just going to go on a penny auction site, pay money and expect to win the item, stop! Nd stay away from these sites b/c they're very competitive and hard. Trust me I've lost more auctions then I've actually won. If you think that you're the only one playing the auction you're wrong. There could be a few dozen people gambling on one auction and ony ONE person is gonna win. The chances of you winning are slim and if you're looking for a deal then you're better off going on sites that will let you buy an item outright instead of auctioning it off. I only hope that people actually read this and think twice before you gamble.
