I have a business account that was closed since Oct-23 until now Feb-24 my money worth $2500 is still not returned. Called them countless times but different representative says different status. Too dismayed about how they handle my issue. Now, it's just a waiting game and not letting up. I feel so frustrated.
Received a new card then as required used the chase app to verify receipt of the card next day emailed you have to call us to verify. Tried to access the letter but of course it wouldn't download. So then I send them a message I'm not calling and sitting on hold for 30 mins I already verified the card. Can't you just leave me alone. So then they cancel my card because they are vindictive. Going to close my account today and move to another garbage bank not capitol 1 who snitchea on you to the govt you can't trust anyone in this world

Chase Bank doesn't care about their customers during the pandemic! Debit cards still have to be swiped inside stores a minimum number of times per month AND THEY DON'T CARE IF YOU ARE HIGH RISK and can't go inside stores. Floridians aren't all masking up so you either need to risk your life or pay them the monthly checking fees. They just want your money and don't really care about their customers. Before Covid I had no complaints with them. They have kept the branch and ATM close to home closed most of this year and they don't count ATM transactions as a debit card swipe. I wish they could be more human and make more ethical decisions with modifications during the pandemic. Haven't we all had to adapt? Chase has only for themselves and are greedy! They said I could avoid fees by putting $5000 in the basic checking account though.
I had an 18 month intrest free purchase. I made a payment and they applied my payment to the intrest free instead of the the balance that has intrest. I called before I made the payment and was told wrong information. Other wise a good card with good cash back.
I have been on with Chase for an hour to address the pending deposit & 2 withdrawals on this account that did not come from me. Glenn, the customer service rep, said he could only put a claim in on the deposit and stated there weren't 2 pending withdrawals. I gave him the dates & the amounts, explaining they show on the screen and puts the account in a negative balance. He disagreed. He continued to speak over me even though I repeatedly expressed my dissatisfaction with him speaking over me. I requested a supervisor, which was told I could not speak with a supervisor. Then told it would take 20 minutes. Just terrible.
I have had many accounts with Chase over the years. It seems like they are too big to aviod. I have had several issues with them concerning a mortgage and I had to jump through hoops to change my name on my credit card. And once I changed it, they didn't change the profile name which lead to huge issues months later. The Chase Sapphire is a great card and worth the hassle, but the other products have not proved to be worth it.

Working at chase was a journey for me a long trip I was getting ready to quit eight months ago. The LAO was verbally aggressive with employees the manager pretended not to see it. I would go back to the company only on the commercial or corporate.
Long lines and poor teller services. When you call them, they never call you back.
I've used Chase for several years and have been mostly underwhelmed by their service.
Chase Credit Cards are crappy - I've had a Chase credit card for years. But recently, I decided to stop getting paper bills and just pay my bill online. So I'm supposed to get an email statement every month, which I then click on and pay my bill. Easy, right? Wrong. Last week, I'm paying my cell phone bill online, and I think to myself "gee, I don't remember getting an email statement from Chase this month, I'd better check." Sure enough, I never got my email statement and I have a $40 late fee from Chase. So I call them up and tell them I never got the email and some obnoxious woman says to me "I'm sorry, we can't do anything about that. It's your responsibility to get the email." How am I supposed to "make sure I get the email?" Chase refused to refund the fee. So I'm canceling my Chase card and switching to Citibank, which has been pretty nice so far (Amex and Discover are nice too, I've found). I suggest you do the same before Chase decides it doesn't care about you either.
My wife and I have been Chase bank customers for at least 15 years and usually receive ok to good customer service when we visit the bank and talk with a teller. Today the teller (mickelson?) was rude to my wife not once but several times. He also was not helpful at all for a banking detail that is very important to us. Seems like the bank tellers being hired today are not trained in good customer service. Chase is not the only bank we can put our money in and borrow from.

I'm starting to get to the point where I'm thinking to drop chase and take my money elsewhere. They have been having terrible customer service for a while now. I recently lost my card and since they stopped giving the instant one at the branch. They said would arrive 5-10 business days. 15 days went by and nothing. I called again and the person I spoke to no apologies or anything. Only said I was getting another one sent and another 5-10 days AGAIN! Now already almost 2 weeks and nothing has arrive. I called and 20 min wait. Smh I just can't with them. I just need my damn $#*!ing card
I have been with Chase for almost 20 years now. They are great for checking and savings.
Terrible for merchant services.
Their online banking website is useless, and to reach customer service takes half of your day. The phone connection is horrible and It usually takes several attempts and calls to resolve a matter or update the profile.
My Chase Ink credit card bill was due on Sunday 12/23/18 but due to the holiday season, I realized on that date that I had not paid it - & my credit score is high 800's so I really want to keep that situation. My husband used Chase's own online banking system to pay the balance on the due date. I just got a bill with a $15 late fee + interest, even though the payment was shown credited on 12/23 on the new statement.
Now, of course I am crazy busy like everyone else & extremely ANGRY at having to take TIME out of my schedule to make a very unpleasant call to their customer "service" line & go thru the hassle of reading off all my info (at least once!).
I called and said if they don't waive the fee & interest, I want the account closed immediately because this is not the way to treat a customer - especially since banks spend tons of money trying to obtain new customers in this very profitable area of their business!
So the curt impersonal rep, "Elizabeth", claims she is "helping" me by telling me how I can avert this problem by paying online early because CHASE'S OWN SYSTEM doesn't credit the same day (even though it could easily do so and has the use of our money). I said I didn't ask for ways that I could improve myself, I'm the customer, and Chase should not be charging a fee in that situation regardless. She used an official tone of voice on me and tried to quickly closed the conversation - very rude! I said, I am not done yet. Tell me exactly how much you have credited to my account. After she told me, I said, "NOW, we're done!"
In late 2021, I opened a business account knowing that I would make several large wire transfers both domestically and internationally. I went with Chase thinking that, since they were a big bank, transfers would occur seamlessly. Unfortunately, they are not. A 5 digit international transfer, that I personally approved, was flagged as fraud. No matter how hard I tried to tell them that I did send the money, they seemed absolutely sure of it.
There was a five-digit deposit in the account that was able to cover the international transfer. Since the deposit was more than the transfer, the balance was still positive at the time the account went under investigation. Now I am being told that the account is in the negative. Apparently, the deposit used to cover the transfer has been returned and the transfer itself has yet to be recovered.
Previous to this, I was told that the investigation was completed and a cashier's check of the remaining positive balance would be mailed. Now, for reasons really unknown to me, the account is back in the negative.
All of this was told to me after over 2+ hours of waiting on the phone. They cannot tell me when this will all end. I need that money but it is held up through no fault of my own.
If you are a small business, especially if your account is young, I do not suggest banking with Chase. You could be flagged over a simple wire transfer and have much-needed money held up for no reason at all. I do not plan to bank with them ever again.
Tip for consumers:
If you are a small business, find another option for wire transfers. You don't want a fraud flag by this bank. Your money might be held up indefinitely.

I have been a Chase customer for probably 20 years now. I was with Washington Mutual but it got acquired by Chase in the aftermath of the 2000 financial meltdown. I have since had two checking account, one "saving" account, debit cards, and a couple of credit cards. Lately I have moved most of my assets to Capital One instead since they offer far far far better interest rates and customer service.
Chase customer service is horrific. This week there was a problem with one of our credit cards not showing up in the account overview online. I had to wait over an hour on hold with customer service, and then was diverted to one person after the other. Eventually, after spending the better part of an evening on this, it was resolved.
Over the course of just 2 weeks- Chase bank confused me with our newly deceased minor child, rubbed salt in the wound of losing a child by making me jump through hoops to prove I was still alive… THEN put an extra long hold on a check, forcing us to scramble to pay for our child's burial, bounce a few payments- thus putting MORE stress on us… THEN they put ANOTHER hold on a paycheck deposit… as I write this- we have a deceased child, less than $30 in our account and nearly $5k waiting to be put in our account that's been waiting to be "confirmed" for going on 2 weeks!
All from a bank "too big to fail"! Ridiculous!

I had to be sent new debit card because of unauthorized charges on my account.
It's taking forever, and customer service was no help as to where it is!
They should have all new cards sent by FedEx and not the US Mail
Chase Online Banking and Chase credit cards
I've been using Chase credit cards for many years along with
Chase Online Banking and been happy with it for years except for one error they
Made on my credit rating a year ago. They made a negative posting in error when
My rating was 819 and they took it down to around 799 as I remember, because of
The error. I happened to catch it and called them up and explained it to them
And it was corrected. I've always considered a decent bank until about a month
Ago when a fraud case developed between Amazon.com, and one of their sellers
Who committed the fraud on me for the amount of $708.00 which was reported to
The sheriff's office where a case was filed on the entities. Amazon said they would
Recover the money in 7 to 10 days which they never did. Chase was to recover
The full amount and reimburse me as well, but they only collected one part of
The amount, $249.61 and the rest was and is in limbo. Chase said they did what
They could and left me hanging saying that was all they could. That's when the
Conversations started between me and Chase and Amazon, and every time you
Talked to a different person and got a different story. Chase was to get a full
Refund in 7 to 10 days as well, and it never happened. I kept getting the run
Around from both firms, never getting the same answer twice. Chase became more
Like Amazon and it was most frustrating thing I've ever dealt with in my life,
And still is not resolved. When there is a real problem, Chase doesn't have the
System or the people to handle a problem properly, and was as disappointing as
Well as Amazon. After this experience which has gone on for almost two months,
I'm getting rid of four different Chase cards including my Blue Sapphire card
Which is really a great card and I'm getting rid of my Chase online banking
Account and going to Zion Bank which has a great online banking system as well
Which I noticed is quicker and easier to use than Chase. Chase has turned out
To be a great disappoint especially when things get rough and they don't seem
To know what they are doing, except adding to the confusion and misinformation.
I have a chase account and as long as all my transactions are online they are great, but to get assistance on the phone especially from the ******* Culver Dr, Irvine CA. It has been a week that I've been trying to speak to someone for the past 4 days. It always ends up with "They are assisting other customers" we should at least be able to chat with someone. All I need is the branch manager's name. Terrible.
I like that I can pay over time on Amazon with a Chase Amazon card. The rewards are also good but making a payment is a nightmare. I take pride in on time payments and the website doesn't let me make my own user name and is picky on passwords. In result I believe I'm going to close this account and use Affirm instead.

I have been trying to call a branch…any branch for over a week. I always get the 800#. Today I spoke with someone at said 800#; he could not tell me if the branch has a notary and as far as the phone- Keep trying

It's upsetting to me as a Chase client for MANY yrs that during the hardest time in my life. I was charged overdraft fees for paying bills such as, electricity, insurance, etc. It really would have been nice to know that at least your bank had your back. Past 2yrs have been so stressful and overwhelming. It was so hard to survive.
Chase Bank has not only outsourced much of it's customer service to the Philippines but now when you call to handle your banking business over the phone, you are asked after you put in your account number to put in the last four digits of your social security number... OMG, over these smart phones we are being exposed to more danger of identity theft. Wonder what huge mind decided that was a good idea at Chase?
