When I read the reviews posted here, I had doubts about ordering from this company. Then I chatted with someone at Chain Reaction Cycles who was extremely helpful. So, I decided to take the risk, and placed an order. The package was promptly posted via DHL on 4/1 and it arrived on 4/5. I'm glad I took the chance and have bookmarked this company for future purchases.
The site clearly stated cut off times for next day delivery. I ordered well within time as i had broken some parts on my bike and needed to replace them in a hurry for a trip down south the next day. I could have gone to a local bike store but chose CRC instead. The order didn't arrive the next day. I missed a pre booked day at the bike park and scheduled night ride as well as a hell of a lot of messing to amend trains and hotels. I tried to contact CRC a total number of 6 times to resolve this issue. It's taken till now… 10/01/2024 to only have my postage refunded (which will take 5 days to refund) and CRC have now washed their hands of the issue…. I wasn't expecting them to refund me for all my expenses as that's a little far but a little voucher for £10 or free next day delivery on my next order or something as an apology would have been great but to only offer my postage back after the issue has been dragged out by them for 23 days i think is just unacceptable.
1400 Euros order haven't arrived in over 2 weeks.
Order placed on 5 august, writing this on 24. So almost a month and my order has not arrived.
Contacted them 2 times, both times waited until they're said, still nothing. Contacted them a 3rd time, no response in 2 days.
The DPD delivery info / status is stating that my order in in France since the dispatch, seems like it's stuck there & last update was on 19 august.
Order was estimated to be delivered on 16 August (6-8 days)

I have been ordering bike stuff from them for years now and lately I am trying to stay away from them but they had Vittoria tires on sale so I ordered them and something that you usually would receive in few days can now take weeks, it's usually not their fault but their customer service when you try to get things like this sorted is horrible, they're just not worth, if you can try making deals with your local bike shop that's my friendly advice.
Bought a bike from CRC, paid $4816. 23 CAD, including shipping and duty handled by CRC. Bike arrived scratched and damaged with a big hole in the shipping box. It was a hassle to get things in order so I can start riding. Back and forth emails with the CRC staff, trip to town to get the bike fixed were very frustrating. At the end CRC didn't resolve my trouble to my satisfaction. It was way too much hassle to get things right and took away all the fun out the experience of purchasing a close to $5K bike. Based on this I don't recommend this company, and don't bother to review on their site bc they avoid posting negative experiences... that's what they did with mine...
This is how Chain Reaction Cycles deliver your brand new bike. Packaging was poor enough for the lever to poke through from the inside and get damaged. Chips out of the paint that can only have been there BEFORE packaging. And a hub that had been put together incorrectly and a locking cap threaded so the hub had movement. Now before I get blasted I'd like to say that I bought the bike as a brand new item. Although I don't expect my bike to stay in new condition I do expect it to arrive that way. I also know they do not have stock to replace the damaged bike as every bike shop is short of stock. I have had the hub repaired by a friend as local bike shops are so busy I didn't want to wait weeks before riding the bike properly. I contacted CRC with my issues and hinted at a 10% discount refund to soften the disappointment of new bike day. They have offered to pay for the repair of the hub up to £30 and only with a receipt (impossible unless I wait two weeks for a repair and subsequently to ride my new bike). And offered £80 in vouchers. It's not far from what I expected to get to but poor customer care will keep me from buying from them again once I have spent the vouchers. Feel free to make up you own mind if you would buy a brand new damaged bike with a 5% discount. I won't again and if there were stock available readily elsewhere I would have returned the bike and never bought from them again. Poor very poor.
Ordered 2 x fat bike tyres 26 x 4.8 jumbo jims only one was correct size. Please if your sending product overseas look on the box and send correct size plain as day, also no response customer service. Absolute rubbish as i was looking at buying a whole bike now lost confidence.
My things are not at my house but you want a review. It's difficult to get a hold of the appropriate... links, computers, people. Not stoked!
