“The support given was great”

The prices for the ebooks I purchased were really cheap. I would say that their services were great because they really helped me with the college assignment I had to submit. The book I purchased had everything I was looking for too!

“Poor Quality on Courses”

I had to find out for myself why my son was always angry when doing his school work online. It's Cengage for these courses. I can honestly see now why... The quality is so poor, no reputable organization would publish such material. As an IT worker who also has developed training in my professional work, It is painfully obvious that no one ever QA'd the exercise files and instructions. I just went through one of my son's most recent exercises and I can now see what poor quality this is. It's frustrating to him to have to spend 3x the amount of time to do these assignments because of all the errors in the exercise files and the poor instructions. I am pointing out that the exercise files do not match the instructions which have the final correct answers at the end. The student is to make the exercise file match the instruction sheet or get penalized. In this most recent exercise, the file provided to students at the beginning has a tab in an Excel worksheet. The instructions, if followed exactly, will have a duplicate tab that the final answer does not show. If my son deletes the duplicated worksheet, then he is penalized. When he gets the grade back, he is penalized for leaving the duplicated worksheet in place as it was in the provided exercise file. There is no way anyone run through the exercise file and instructions before publishing this out in the course. This is both frustrating to a student trying to make good grades and infuriating to have to spend so much time trying to read the minds of the course creators and graders when the information is so poorly delivered. I would not recommend any college student use online courses with Cengage. This is NOT helping to prepare them for the professional world. This is done through IvyTech.

Ita a cash grab with little educational foundation. Students hate it. Authors of the text books hate it.

The customer service doesn't respond and closes cases without resolution. They have incorrect and conflicting information that they do not fix. The interface has errors and they have no way of fixing it. I have assignments I cannot complete and have been very diligent in my communication with them. They don't respond. They closed the case.

Absolutely terrible company.
