A great website for staying in real chateaux, both elegant and authentic, in England, Scotland, Wales and France. Some of them have been in the same family for centuries. An ideal way to experience gracious hospitality and culture.
I am very disappointed with this company, my friends and I booked a weekend in a castle well in advance (6 months) and during that time they knew exactly what we intended to do a bunch of friends playing games and have nice catered meals. Well apparently "playing games" is not covered by their insurance without one word to us or even a question to see if things could be resolved they canceled our booking less than a month away. Here I am in America already paid for a $3,000 airline ticket, $800 catering, $800 for a van rental to get myself and friends up to the venue and we're just SOL with no sympathy or accommodation. I for one will not be booking with Celtic castles ever again, I would suggest you stay well away from them.
