I worked with CED Commerce from the end of 2020 to the beginning of 2023, although so little was done in the final 7 months you may as well not count it.
I bought a simple translation module (a CSV file to upload) which worked fine. The developer was helpful and kind.
I also bought a module for the Bonanza marketplace: it didn´t work properly and I spent 2 solid months combing through it for the CED Commerce Developers to put it right. Which to be fair, they did. But it was definitely not market ready when I bought it and in the end, we, the customers, are used as guinea pigs to get their modules to work and pay for the privildege. So I would advise to avoid their modules at all costs. It will only end in disappointment.
I asked them to take care of my site on a monthly basis, with bi-monhtly updates. Didn´t receive any updates in the very first month which shows they did nothing. I didn´t repeat.
I commissioned a bespoke module for calculating the shipping size of multiple products when bought together: the developer who worked on it was great, she asked all the right questions and we had effective communication. Suddenly, as the job was coming to a close, she announced she was leaving that very day, before the module had really been tested in the real world. It worked for all of 2 weeks and never again. I was promised a million times that it would be fixed, after this and after that, finally it became clear that they were not capable of fixing it...the brains behind the module had left the company and that was that.
In the meantime, I was persuaded to upgrade my website to the next version: what a slog that was. After a year, it was still not live. With all the other frustrations and false promises, I finally jumped ship and now work with a really good developer with a system based on thirty bees (based on the only stable Prestashop version that is 1.6, but is no longer supported) that includes technical support, updates, ongoing improvements etc. Oh joy of joys! What a different world I inhabit now. I finally have the time to focus on my business.
The final cherry on the cake from CED Commerce is that all trace of the modules, bespoke development etc have compleltey disappeared from my account. I do have invoices of my own (which I really had to insist on and were not forthcoming intitally) to prove that these comissions do actually exist. So all the money spent on modules, bespoke software etc has gone up in a puff of smoke.
I´ve tried contacting their support...not a word has been forthcoming. That should really tell you everything you need to know.
Overall a very frustrating experience and one that left me literally without a business after Prestashop stopped supporting the 1.6 version (the 1.7 version is full of bugs which Prestashop has no intention of fixing, as they are now working on the 1.8 version. How muddled is that? But that is a whole other story).
There are some good developers at CED Commerce. They can be generous with their knowledge. They are under enormous pressure from above to bring in sales and more customers. This means they are unable to really care for their current customers and their needs.
Some of their developers really don´t seem to know very much and waste a lot of your time, but clearly they too are unsupported.
It must be a hellish environment to work in. By mistake, one of the developers diaries popped up on my screen as we were talking. It was chocablock with meetings. Crammed to the gunnels. If any of the good developers at CED Commerce read this...I urge you to find other employment in a better company. You are worth more.
Just don´t put your business into the hands of CED Commerce. They will, unfortuantely, inevitably let you down.
It is very hard to asses software developers before you use them. I´ve done it for you. AVOID.
Almost all the products were problematic and needed to be further developed, which was not forthcoming. There appears to be no policy for refunds if it goes wrong, which it does more often than not.
