After setting up an ad with a couple of other (overpriced) sites, I decided to add Cars.com. I was very impressed with the price of FREE. When I finished adding the details and photos the ad looked great! It allowed easy edits (and there were many) and cost me nothing. Several prospective buyers were sent to me from cars.com--they were just as good as the buyers sent to me from Cargurus, ebay motors and Craigslist (Carvana was such a joke!). All of the features which concerned me (length of ad, number of photos, features listed, ad editing, ad price, popularity of the site, and site functionality) were available and of the same caliber as ANY of the paid sites. I'm not sure if there's a fee we have to pay if the vehicle sells (I canceled my ads after a couple weeks due to a change in business plans), but f there is it's a much better deal than the paid sites who charge up-front whether the vehicle sells or not. I will DEFINITELY recommend and continue to use Cars.com.
Got an offer for a vehicle over $12,000 less than it's actual value. What a waste of time. Not sure who is benefitting from this.
I found this site by a pop up on my computer. Thought I'd check it out. Liked it the second I saw it, but I cannot stand the default settings. Good site.
Fantastic site to find your dream car. I have used this site to find my vehicle. Sometimes, the information can be misleading. Overall, great service.
Don't understand how some vehicles categorized as hot buy, good buy, or
Fair buy. Seemingly, not really reflective of how competitively prices. Wondering if participating dealers free to assign these ratings?
I had some minor issues when looking for cheaper cars and when I click sometimes I would get "access denied" error. Was confusing. Figured out later that the default year is very recent while I wanted something older. Otherwise the search functionality is great and all the additional information is terrific.

Just recently purchased a car from Lou Bachrodt and I actually had a great experience with my car salesman JR Henry he was great he got me to the payment amount I requested and he has followed up with me also.

Cars.com provides all the necessary information on all cars. On would surely check out the complete specifications they mention in their website. It sure helps us in deciding which car to buy and helps us compare cars too.

Yes, I have a question. I've used cars.com in the past to sell my cars, and it has very worked very well and I was able to sell my cars in short periods of time. I subscribed to your 2 month option close to a month and a half ago to sell my 2004 Porsche Boxster with very low miles (41,000) and in great condition. It is very close to the lower prices for most similar Boxsters on your site. Over that month and a half period, I have had over 300 views and only one serious inquiry. This really amazed me, so I responded to my own ad with an expression of interest saying I was interested. I mainly wated to see if something is wrong with my ad/site. I got a letter back to my email, reflecting the fact that I had expressed interest in the car. Then, the next day and for several days thereafter, I've been getting additional emails from Cars.com telling me about all the other Porsche Boxsters that you have on your site. How does this help an individual seller on your site who is paying you money for an ad? How the hell am I suppose to sell my car, if you drown them in unliited additional cars for the following day and weeks after they looked at my ad? There is not even time enough for them to respond.
You hurt the people who are paying you money to advertise to the benefit of others who have paid you nothing.
Cars.com no longer is a good site to sell your car, I will go with your competitors. You have gotten too greedy and nonresponsive to your customers.

Having bought and sold numerous cars using this website i feel like it is fairly good in performing it's task.
Great experience buying 3rd car from VIP auto outlet. Would recommend them to family and friends. They will work with you to get financing and good price for your trade. Edwin was very helpful.
Good place to compare basic info/prices on different model cars... unfortunately some of the listings don't say very much and just take you to a dealer's site... overall though its worth checking out for casual comparison.
Just recently I purchased a used Kia at another dealership, in going through a lot of unsatisfactory matters, which has taught me a lesson. I have found another Kia Dealer that I purchased a part that I desperately needed an they installed it immediately. The dealers name" Kia of Bedford " Thank You Kia of Bedford. Doug Jedlicka
You can get a ton of info. Use their valuation numbers against others. Get market numbers for your vehicles to get comparable sales prices. Get smart on everything, use the site to pit dealers against each other for your business.
I am a man who always online to check the cars, it is the good one for me to get some ideas of the cars, and i can get the e-mail when there is a new cars.
I like this site for the information about different cars. I really use this site as a research tool.
Cars.com is very cool! But you must be a smart shopper. The site is like one giant dealer, some cars are total lemons when you get to see them in person, others are very good. One feature i love about cars.com is the research. You can find information on just about any vehicle you want. Very helpful shopping tool!
