PLEASE BE AWARE! STAY AWAYYYYYY!.
DON'T LET THEM STEAL YOUR MONEY!
It's a shame I can't give you 0 starts to give my review.
I made a reservation for my dad yester at this location to pick up a car because his car broke down and he lives by himself in Miami. I had to go to Miami to help him and we got to this location 15 minutes past 1pm. We waited outside for more than 40 minute as there were customers complaining inside in the counter and having the same issue that we were about to face. We finally went inside at 2:07pm and were told that we were late by 7min. Even that we were in the property waiting outside and sweating with the two fans that they have outside, that his reservation was cancelled for no show and that they didn't have the car available. They told me to book another reservation but they were not giving me the money back. I asked for a manager and I was pointed to a lady speaking with someone else. I waited until she finished and I introduced myself and I explained all the situation. She started saying that my dad was not going to have unlimited mileage, I don't care, he just need the car to go to work. She went to her office and came back she told me she was going to give me an upgrade and walked away from me. I standee in the counter for 15 more minutes and the girl that was waiting for me asked me what I wanted to and I explained to her what the manager said and she told me she couldn't do it without he approval and started drinking her soda. I asked her to please get her manager so we can get done with that, she went inside to the office and came back and told me that I needed a new reservation. I asked for the manager and she didn't want to come out. At that point I was very upset and told my father to leave. I told them I was very upset and disappointed about the lack of customer service and respect from them. I left and I contacted carrentals.com and explained the situation to them. They told me they were going to investigate this issue and will contact me by email. Today I received an email from them starting that they called your company and were told that we never show up to pick up the car. I sent an email to them explaining the time and I requested for the video surveillance to be release, because there was a camera in front of us. At this point my father doesn't have his money. I contacted Miami Dade Police Dpt. Airport location and they did not want to fill a complaining or an investigation, MIAMI, what was I expecting. I contacted a Miami influencer and I'm waiting for his response. Next step, TV channel and attorney. PLEASE BE AWARE! STAY AWAYYYYYY!.

Worst experience ever
February 6, 2022

My name is Martine St Felix, I booked a rental for my brother Josue St Felix for pick- up at west palm beach international airport for Saturday February 7,2022. When he got there. The young later check in him in for the car had an attitude from the start. She told him she will have to put $500 hold on his card. He only asked why, instead of answering him she said if you can't afford it you can leave. My brother called me to tell me about it, I told him maybe that's there policy just get the car and go, I believe they will reimburse you once's you return the car. When he went back things only escalated to the point he asked to speak to a manager. She was even nastier. Telling my brother leave the property. I was on the phone with him when he was outside waiting for the bus to go back to the airport. While he was explaining things to me the manager came and argued with him outside. She was extremely rude and nasty I heard the whole conversation, he was telling her I'm on the phone with my family. I heard her said if you don't like the service leave and I'm calling security. He was trying to tell her I'm not talking to you I'm talking to my family. She was very loud and nasty and called security for him. When security came he calmly explained to him what had happened. She proceeded to call another one that was just as nasty as she was to harass my brother because she felt that this first one did not do his job. I booked with Payless and other companies during my several trips to Florida. However, this was just pure horror. I only did it with Hertz to make it easier for my brother because that was his first trip. I will never do that again and will not encourage anyone to book a car with this company. My poor brother was traumatized and ended up taking a hubber ride to his hotel. I'm ashamed to say it was 2 black ladies treating a young black male that way. They represent hertz, and I hope no one go through what he went through with them. I hope as well they get training on customer service and do not stereotype people they don't know. Again very disappointed. Worst experience ever. My first booking with car rentals and my last as well. I will make sure I tell everyone I know about this, because this type of things should not still be happening especially in the time we lived in.

Carrentals.com allows scamming car rental agencies to prey on customers
November 25, 2019

If you live in Florida and are among the many who have been duped by U-Save (under the name and reputation of CarRentals.com), you may file a complaint against a car rental company with the Attorney General's Office online at www.myfloridalegal.com or by phone at 1-866-9-NO-SCAM. Additionally, you may file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission online using their complaint assistant portal at www.ftc.gov/complaint. You may also wish to file a complaint against the rental company with the Better Business Bureau online at www.bbb.org. You may also file a complaint with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, which acts as the State's consumer complaint clearinghouse, at www.floridaconsumerhelp.com.

U-Save (allowed to exist in the CarRental.com website) preys on tourists and unsuspecting customers. They assume renters have no clue how SunPass works, they impose unnecessary insurance, and lie about their miles allowance.

I made online reservations, for which I prepaid to save a few $. When I arrived to pick up the rental, they tried to convince me to pay for their SunPass, I have an account so I declined. Then they said that I did not have unlimited miles, even though my reservations clearly said "unlimited miles". At this point I knew I was dealing with scum.

Lastly, they said that I had to have a $1 MILLION auto insurance coverage, otherwise I would have to buy theirs. I was renting an economy car, probably not worth more than $5,000 on a good day! Further, common sense dictates that drivers who can afford a $1 million auto insurance coverage are not renting an economy car from this s---hole agency, so I assume they screw everyone with this hidden fee. What I thought was a cheap rental was about to double... I cut my losses and walked away from my prepaid rental (and based on how the reviews show how U-Save scams renters upon their vehicle return, I think I came out on top!)

I figured I would contact CarRentals.com, (the website through which I found U-Save) and inform them of U-Save's unethical behavior. I wrote them a detailed letter. As it turns out, CarRentals supports U-Save's shady business practices. Rodrigo from Car Rentals replied to my complaint email stating he "wanna" apologize. The fact that CarRentals was not offended by U-Save's behavior was shocking and disgusting. Since CarRentals was a dead end, I contacted Expedia Group, the parent company to CarRentals via US mail, which is the only available contact option!

Lastly, I have also brought this to the attention of the State of Florida using the links above. My advice to you is first, stay away from U-Save and CarRentals.com. Secondly, don't prepay. Lastly, if you have been duped by them, make noise, report them. Sooner or later, they will get caught.
