I placed an order 121623, (#49932860), and the first red flag should've been 2 different prices! 60.84 in the beginning, and then 79.03 after the customer service rep applied a "discount"! But, I really needed the part and ever place else had them on back order. I get an alert that fedex delivered the package 122423, and since it was a long weekend, I was out of town. The package was put in my mailbox, according to the photo, I get back in town tuesday, no package in the mailbox,I contact carid, they say "search around", I searched the property, no package. Contacted them again, they say "file a police report!". The police wouldn't file a report since it was left in the mailbox, instead of the porch, where fedex normally leave packages. The police say "contact the post office!". The post office couldn't act, because it wasn't a package that was sent through the US mail!. Carid won't give me a refund or a replacement!, even though? I followed all of the steps on the carid website regarding replacements. So I'm stuck paying for a part I never received. The run around and buck passing. So I Plan to warn my social media groups and followers to avoid these people at all costs.

Car ID sold me a set of rear coil springs that are incompatible with my vehicle after their part finder specifically said it was. The model year was off by one. So my vehicle was an entire generation off from being compatible. This was due to an error in their database.

I was outside the 30-day return window by 15 days. It took me a while to get my work scheduled
Because my mechanic was booked.

My mechanic took one look at the springs and told me they were wrong. I immediately halted the work and called CarID to try to get a return.

The product barely left the box and was put right back in, no tool marks or any damage whatsoever. They original box is intact ready for resale. I provided photos proving this.

CarID responded by being uncompromising despite the fact that they were the cause of the error. My only error was trusting CarID to get me the product I needed.

I'll gladly revise my review if they make this right but this is honestly one of the worst customer service experiences I've encountered. Everybody knows that exceptions can be made in unique circumstances. They simply don't want to own their mistake even though it's entirely possible.

CarID - correct your database! Consumers: be wary - other websites had the correct information. Shop around.

One month later they have a 60-day return window for the holidays. So clearly, they could do it if they wanted to.

Edit: CarID issued my refunds. I wish they had responded to my very human phone calls explaining the situation instead of reacting to a bad review. Based on a lot of the reviews, they seem to have a practice of this. The thing is, I would have accepted a restocking fee, or paid shipping out of my own pocket. I would have owned my side of the street. They offered me no resolution whatsoever until I left a bad review. So they actually spent more money issuing a full refund and covering shipping than if they had initially offered a compromise. Treat people like humans and you will get better results!

Tip for consumers:
Shop somewhere else. the shipping info they provide is often inaccurate and I needed to call them to get the correct tracking numbers. I think there are better alternatives overall.

Internal service at Carid is good, have a comment on their UPS shipping, UPS service from USA to Kelowna, BC Canada has a rating of about -5 on a scale of 0 to 5

Do not use UPS services.Terrible service.

UPS is so poor in their delivery times,can't get a straight answer from UPS,have not rece'd the product yet.Very angry.Carid should consider a different carrier. Good chance I will not re-order because of poor service by UPS,no need for this nonsense .

My original review gave 2 stars due to the fact that I was told they wanted photographs to show why the part did not fit. After writing the review on 12/3/19 i was contacted by Jena on 12/4 and she made every effort to correct the situation with out any hassles. Proof they read reviews and are working on customer relations.

Tip for consumers:
Be very careful!!! I believe their hope is that you become frustrated and do not pursue the refund because they make it diffiicult for you.

CarID sold me roof racks for my 2021 Escalade -- they are not made for my car and did not fit. I called within 30 days to return - they demanded photos showing they did not fit and I had already packed everything neatly back in the box to return and I did not want to unwrap everything again to put on my roof to prove they did not fit to then rewrap for return. Also, the instructions specifically listed the vehicles that they fit which did not include my car I then passed the 30 day window to return and they denied my return. They are awful!

Don't trust this company they lie and make it difficult to return products!

Purchased a few things never showed shipping charge said free. Next thing I know the charge amount jumped up oil filter 11$ shipping charge 14$. Jug of oil 26$ shipping 15$. Customer support refunded the money. Order one thing at a time for free shipping if you do multiple items that charge delivery per item.

Upon checking this order, we have confirmed that shipping for 2 out of 3 products was not free. Shipping fee is not shown by a default by the system if no shipping information is entered.

The system not just calculates the shipping cost and tax, it also checks the nearest location all the parts are available at (the closest so that warehouse to get the lowest shipping price, the availability of several items at one location to have the shipment combined for free). When the address is filled in, it shows the subtotals for the item, shipping, tax separately and the grand total. If the total does not work for you, the order is not processed, no fee is hidden.

Only if the grand total works you can proceed with order and be redirected to the page where the payment information is required. Taking into account all the diversity of products, warehouses and final shipment locations across the whole US and world this is the most accurate way for us to provide the best competitive prices

From what i see, one of the products was already delivered to you and we are still working on the cancellation for another one.

Tried to cancel the order within minutes of placing the order. Though, cancellation request had been placed in a timely manner (nothing had been shipped), I was told it would take 3-5 days for that cancellation to go through. Somehow, even though the items had a shipping day for the next day they managed to create a shipping label right after my request to cancel. WHAT A SCAM! This was my first time ordering from them, and WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN. I did reach to them again after the shipping label was created (nothing shipped yet), customer service basically refused to do anything about it. BUYER BEWARE! DON'T BUY FROM THEM. Don't read the reviews on their website as they seem to only show only positive reviews. Search the web for independent reviews such as the ones reviewed with google.

June 10th, 2021

Mila at CARiD Customer Experience Center reached out to me, and went above and beyond to resolve this matter to my satisfaction. They provided me with a full refund, along with a gift certificate good for any future purchase I might make at CARiD.com.

In all fairness to CARiD; they made things right! And that's important to me as a customer. Although, my initial experience with them was not a pleasant one, I can now say that I am very pleased with the outcome; Customer Experience Center (Mila) listened to my complaint, and acted promptly to resolve the issues at hand.

I am changing my initial 1 star to a 4 star rating for their efforts. I will certainly consider giving them a second chance in the future.

I ordered a pair of complete strut assemblies for my Hyundai Sonata. Their website made it appear that they would fit based on the models that they described. I knew I had to pay for extra shipping as I live in Canada, but what I didn't realize was that they would charge me Customs/Duty fees on top of that ($60 dollars CDN). There was No mention of that. They also told me that my parcel would take 3-5 business days, but it actually took almost 14 days as they had screwed up the paperwork on their end. When my strut assemblies did arrive, they did not fit. With a little research on my end, I realized that some models (which unfortunately included my car) could have an upgraded sport suspension for lower end trim levels, and this could have been detected by a "C" in the 8th digit in the VIN number. Had they mentioned this (like other Part sites do) on their web page I would not have encountered this issue. It took them a few days to respond back to me and they did not have the correct parts to fix my issue. After paying for the return shipment fees I will have paid for the parts and will have nothing to show for it. In hindsight I should've just keep the parts and sold them on ebay. So to make a long story short, not a properly labeled/friendly site with the correct information, extremely expensive shipping and unmentioned Duty/brokerage fees, and in the end they didn't have the correct parts to fix my issue.

Since I posted my initial rating, a CARiD representative reached out to me to help resolve my issue and did so in a professional matter. I do hope that they add "how to distinguish the sport model suspension from the non-sport model" on their website. Canadian shipping fees are still expensive, but that has nothing to do with the company.

Updated 9/6/22: Whatever issues I had with CARID have been resolved as they did the right thing and refunded my purchase. As such I would consider ordering from them again as they have regained my trust. Thanks!

I bought a set of Spyder headlights for my truck from CARID and was told by one of their sales reps in an email that they'd fit my truck. Well they didnt fit so I asked to return them. First they told me I ordered incorrectly (despite their own sales rep sending me a link to these headlights telling me they fit my truck) and they wouldnt process my return. After complaining and waiting another two weeks they finally sent me a return label. Two week later I was told they coudlnt process my refund because the vendor said "the lens was scratched" which is complete nonsense. My mechanic buddy and I knew immediately upon opening the box and comparing my headlights to the SPYDER lights that they wouldnt fit so right back in the box they went and I personally wrapped them in the original packaging and sealed the box so it could survive anything. They doubled down on the lights being damaged and denied my return again. I CRIED because I needed that money to get the right headlights. I have no doubt neither CARID or Spyder ever had any intention of refunding my money. Then to make matter even worse they sent me an email telling me theyre going to charge me to ship the headlights back to me! In all my years of buying things online I've never had such a horrific experience buying anything. These people are just bad businessmen who think its OK to just take your hard earned money and let YOU take your chances on being able to return the product. THINK TWICE... no think 10 TIMES before ever ordering from them.
PS. The headlights were sent back in the exact condition they were received. Regardless I'd never be in this situation if their sales rep hadn't recommended these lights for my truck! Bad customer service all around AND I'm out $526.00 no matter how they spin it.

Ordered an Auto Tecknic trunk spoiler with 3M tape included but not received, after I complained they removed the "included" word from website, spoiler only, they charged for shipping same as the product value and I had to pay UPS same again on delivery, from Canada you can't return without loosing the shipping and customs. After I contacted customer service few times, Mila was great helping with refund the UPS overcharge at delivery. Hopefully this is an isolated case as UPS was always great with our deliveries!

Tip for consumers:
Prices are in $US no matter you chose your country currency, you find out at checkout that shipping is overpriced and UPS is overcharging again at delivery!

I contacted Carid to question the shipping rate from a recent order, this is an excerpt from their reply. "We deeply apologize for the inconvenience it caused you in your end that you paid for a high shipping for item PERMATEX ******* - Dielectric Tune-Up Grease is $64.55. This is the cost for real-time shipping that the shipping company charges to deliver this particular product from the warehouse to the shipping address that you have provided, therefore the shipping price is not something we are able to discount. Please allow us to offer you $25.00 worth of gift certificate."
Yes you read that right, they said the $2.83 tube of dielectric grease cost $64.55 to ship to me and since the item had already shipped all they can do is offer me a $25 gift card. Did they even investigate my question or just rubber stamp a reply using prewritten responses.
UPDATE!
I asked a supervisor to call me which they did. She actually looked into the shipping charge issue I was questioning and found there was am error. She corrected it and I am happy with the resolution. My only thought is they may need to spend a little more time training their customer service representatives to prevent simple issues like this from blowing up.

They have the wrong part number linked to my truck and so I purchased the wrong part. I even went to manufactures site and showed them and they still tried to put blame on me and force me to pay shipping on new part and return of the wrong one.

UPDATE: got an email today they acknowledged their mistake and are attempting to fix it at no charge to me. If only they would have done this yesterday

Recieved broken fog light and I'm unable to install in my truck. I would be glad to pay for return just to recieve my replacement. I'm not able to get a return label or a return autorization number. Not looking for a refund just a fog light noy broken. These lights are $180.00 and do not work very well broken in the original box.

I found myself on CARiD to buy a carbon fiber hood for my car because another company didn't have it in stock and I would take 8-10 weeks. I ended up having more hood options on Carid and saved money. While I was on Carid, I ended up buying. New brake kit for my car as well. They have a very good selection of products at good prices. Customer service was also very helpful. I will continue to purchase from CARiD.

I ordered lugnuts from this site and they arrived very quickly. However after installing all the lugnuts it looked like it cannot be tightened all the way due to a size mismatch with the rims. The rims were also ordered from their website.
According to them the manufacturer's return policy does not allow returning the lugnuts however it seems like they are willing to help with the process with the partial refund. Overall this one may be a bit of a loss for me but I would order from them again. I would still ask them to make it clear on these specific items where installation voids the return.

I finally reached someone who told me the status of my order and was very helpful. Others I've dealt with seem to have no customer service experience. 2 weeks later, I finally received my hub centric rings, so I could finally mount my new tires and rims. Went on with no issues and seem to be perfectly balanced. I feel like they can provide a good service but need to up their game on customer service.

I ordered tire and rims and they even came before the stated ship date, but didn't include the hub centric rings and my security lug nuts, so unable to mount my new $1500 wheel and tire set. When I called, the girl basically called me a liar and told me they were on the packing list, so I must have them. Told her I wouldn't know since I didn't receive a packing list either. She then tried to tell me all the lug nut were locking... yeah, she's clueless about what a locking lug nut is. She said they would be shipped next day air in 24-48 hours. Well, that came and went, and still no parts. Called again and the poorly English speaking girl told me she had no idea of the status of the rest of my order and they would email me when it shipped. At this point, I have zero confidence in this company, but I'm going to bother them every day until I get what I paid for. Oh, I also have attempted to contact my sales person and can't even get him to respond. Must really suck to work for this outfit and deal with all this negativity.

Warranty returns do not require original box, however, as you have reported fitment issues with the product, we would appreciate if you could provide us a few images showing the problem.

Had an issue with one of their shipments and the correct destination. They're over the phone customer service did them no justice. They addressed my problems via email in a prompt manner. Definitely changed my mind about them. Good products, good service.

Your feedback points the things we should pay attention to. I am sorry that your order was delivered to the wrong address. Unfortunately, there is no address change request in our system. The fact that you have provided the new address to Pay Pal does not mean that it will be added to your account at CARiD automatically.

Please check what shipping address you have in My account. When you place the order, you should carefully check both shipping and billing address at the stage of checkout since orders are submitted by the system automatically. In case you have processed address change request through My account you should have been sent the confirmation email with the interaction ID. If you have this email, please provide me with ID number, so I could check why the request did not go through.

I have also sent you an email and offered a compensation.

We truly hope that your future experience with us will be of no hassle at all!

Great parts. Shipment delayed maybe due to UPS issues but item was shipped out in 1 day. Otherwise overall rating is good enough

After receiving seat covers that were ill fitting and having to return them, carid granted me a full refund and $20 gift card. Thanks!

After a rocky start due to a confusing product description and initial customer service interaction, I must now write a positive review due to a very pro 2nd effort follow up by their customer service team. The issues with the product resulted in a partial refund and a site credit. Very nice work to solve a customer issue.

After some period of time they did refund me the money, it wasn't a very pleasant experience to get to that point to there credit in the end they did refund me, I'm happy for that. Look for photos on my first review.
