At arrival I discovered my reservation was unilaterally cancelled because my flight was late but I haven't either got refunded or got contacted by anyone despite multiple attempts to contact them and emails!

Aviod using this company at all costs! They hiit you with additional charges they do not disclose at the time of booking and if you need to change anything it is almost impossible to get hold of them and when you do they are not helpful at all.
If there was a minus 100 star I would use it.
Shocking that the car rental company at Brussels-Zaventem Airport (Alamo/enterprise rent a car) could not pick up that we had paid a deposit, could not pick up what car we had requested (suv/VW T-Cross or similar and wanted to give us a Mini Cooper; with 4 bags!) and did not seem to understand that we had chosen all the insurance and all we had to pay "at the desk' was an amount of Euro 636.08 but we landed up paying Euro 1101.56 overall. The gentleman manning the Alamo desk was rude, dismissive, and told us that he could not actually "see" our booking, which is ridiculous. Can you imagine if Trivago/Bookingdot com/Agoda/Vrbo etc were not connected to Nightsbridge and the establishments they work with, they would not be able to see if a client has booked when they come to check in. We also "extended" our car hire with the company at Brussels-Zaventem Airport; yet on the original return date we received a notice from Carflexi saying we have to return our car.
And there you have it, the systems do not work in conjunction with each other.
Obviously they will come back with a response...BUT.
I will give kudos to the gentleman who received our car when we returned it. Courteous and friendly.

Awful. No car and no compassionAfter travelling from Australia to USA (36 hour trip) I stood in line for an hour for the car I had booked. When I got to the front of the line I was told there were no more cars available and to write my name down on a scrap of paper and that we'd be called in order of our names on the paper. I ended up finding another car (Shout out to Alamo for saving the day... albeit at a cost). When I tried to get a refund I was told I'd turned up late (I was there on time but waiting in line caused me to get to the counter late) and that I'd been told I'd lose my money because I chose to cancel the booked (I was told nothing other than "we have no cars so write your name and number on this piece of paper and we'll call you when a car is ready"). I was travelling with a small child and had a final 2 hour drive after the 36 hours of airport stop overs and flights. I could have forgiven the no car (things happen) but the lies and terrible treatment from customer service were on a whole other level. DO NOT USE CARFLEXI!
I booked a car from Hong Kong that I needed when I got off my flight in Auckland 12hours later, Carflexi told me I would not receive confirmation for at least a day so I cancelled my booking. Unfortunately I had to complete the booking before I got given that information. I got charged for that cancellation even though I had never received confirmation of a car! I wrote to them and they were unyielding, they lied and stole essentially.
Attention! With CarFlexi you too could fall on your nose!

Flight to Rennes / France, landing with 3.5h delay, car agent 'CarFlexi' informed via WEB-Portal,
On site:
Car hire counter no longer occupied, no car, no information, almost forced to stay at the airport.
CarFlexi:
"We kept the car at the originally agreed time, if you do not pick up the car (I could not, stuck in Paris!) That's not our fault" -> No CarFlexi performance and no down payment for the down payment from EUR 120!
CarFlexi contract partner Sixt:
"You have not ordered the car directly from us, contact your contract partner (CarFlexi)!"
Conclusion:
I will never order a car again through a web portal like CarFlexi. In the future, always directly with the landlord (Sixt, Hertz, etc.). When mediated by an intermediate provider pushes the responsibility for the other when a problem occurs!
After making a booking through carflexi, with all the correct additional costs selected(like late arrival etc). I received a voucher with the total costs for the car rental. They gave me the idea I already payd a part ( like 80 euro). When I arrived at the rental company I was forced to pay 200 euro more then stated on the voucher. The guy told me this happens quiet alot. Also the 80 euro could not be recalculated with the price. DONT BOOK THROUGH CARFLEXI. Just find the rental company itself. They show misleading prices, and because you payed already they force you to take the rental, even if its more expansive. So on the end I payed 80 euro to Carflexi, for only making it throug their link. SCAM! I learned it! Just trying to warn you all!
Their website states "NO HIDDEN COST" well there are plenty, I paid more in costs than for the car hire rental fee. This company should outlawed be the rental companies they use/represent they are damaging to reputable car hire companies. I would say use at your own risk or not at all.
I booked car from CarFlexi. 2 times. Prizes was good. But surprise Avis charged me over 800e.

Don't do business with this company because if you do, you will be disappointed and your star holidays, will be ruined.
No hidden cost is a lie don't buy their insurance what they offer because when you come to collect car they will say you need Insurance to pay 200 bicouse insurances you purchased not valid.
They also don't give refunds laughing in your face anf call you stupid because you don't read temrs and conditions which wasn't very clear in the terms and conditions.
Vacation in Crete, we booked the car, price was low 210 and when we arrived to pick up the car they asked 191 and 40 because they drive us from airport to the office...
And in the and I check my ebanking and they charged me 161 and they sent me an email that i can manage my booking from there but I couldn't manage it from there... so we cancel the car and the money gone... irresponsible..

Carflexi charged me an extra 74 GBP for a so called car hire... Deceived, thinking I was paying part of the car hire, however the car rental said no payment had been made

CROOKS! I booked an Alamo car through Carflexi and brought all the documents they required, as well as additional documents (council tax bill and bank statement, 3 forms of photo ID) and gave 3 personal references. Alamo STILL refused to rent to me because their third-party app did not pass me based on my name and address (where I've lived for 6 years).
Now Carflexi REFUSES to refund me the £35 booking fee, claiming it was because I DIDN'T bring adequate documentation! FRAUDSTERS!
Very good service at pick up and drop off point. Car as expected, clean full tank of Fuel and was ready to go. Very reasonable price. Would use CarFlexi again.
I paid a deposit towards a car rental.in Queenstown NZ but when I rang the hire company they didn't have any money on file! Awesome way to ruin someone's holiday!

I booked a car through Carflexi in Porto at Turisprime. I had a very new (2 months old) Nissan Micra. It was very good, I liked it. Unfortunately I had a little accident with it, there were some scratces on the car at the rental period ending, so I had to pay more than 300 EUR to Turisprime, because I didn't have an insurance by them. But when I made the contract with Carflexi, there were Full Damage Waiver and Theft Protection in it, so I hoped the will refund the money for me. So I wrote them, and after a few weeks (or 2 months) of emailing and sending officially proofs, they refunded all the money. (At least I hope, I haven't checked my bank account yet.)
This is a nightmare company, I will never use them again. They took a £26 deposit without clear notification and I am still waiting for it to be returned.
Simply avoid using their service at any cost even if it cost you more somewhere else. Carflexi offers the worst car rental service online. Protect other customers from Carflexi by driving them out of business by sharing the news with your contacts. They don't provide any support after they charge their fees and don't care about their reputation and image. My tormenting experience will be shared with all social media venues. It started when my reservation was not processed by the vendor at DENVER Intl. Airport claiming that I could not use a credit card issued by a U.S. bank according to the terms and conditions. I had to rent another car that cost me much more than my original reservation. After returning from my trip I sent customer service a request to refund the money which Carflexi initially charged me as processing fees ($50). Their team started playing games with me and they were unprofessional, unethical, unfair and sneaky. They ignored the reason of the credit card rejection and kept on referring to the T&C which I fully complied with. They never address the issue and don't have a clue about customer satisfaction.
