Just received a letter today of dropping my credit to one half of what it was two years ago. I have paid all on time as my other bills. I think something is going on with this company, perhaps they are closing with all these negative reviews for 2018. :(.

They started by reporting 2 open accounts to credit agencies instead of 1. Did not want to confirm their mistake, opened "internal investigation", closed my credit card, opened again with different number, "transferred" my auto pay settings and drew entire balance instead of monthly payment. And yes, phone system is stupid as hell.
Lesson learned: stay away from "free" credit

Horrible
May 15, 2018

There phone system is horrible takes hour to get through to a person and when you do they don't even help you. They also don't let you know that when you make a payment over $500 that they hold it for 10 days. So here I sit made large payment a week ago money was out of my checking 6 days ago well cleared my bank and surgury in 2 days for serious infection and I have no way of paying for it because they still want to hold my payment for 4 to 5 more days and when I asked for a refund of payment so maybe I can just pay out of my own checking they said that would take 3 weeks. This is so frustrating when something called CARE credit will not help you I have never missed a payment and have only used the care credit in times of need for medical purpases due to not the best health insurance coverage and this is how I am treated by CARE! Credit. They do not CARE!

Don't get one of these. They send the bills at different times every month. Several times now my bill has arrived after the due date on the bill by about 3 days. SO now, AGAIN, they have charged me a late fee of $79.00. Almost $80.00 late fee when my bill arrived after the due date? The interest is 26% and at this point I have paid for my emergency dental procedures at least twice, with no end in sight. I have tried to call and after being on hold for a very long time, I couldn't speak to anyone that spoke much English. I had no clue what he was saying, and there's office to visit in person. Horrible, unethical, thieves. Evil company & practices

CareCredit allows you to call and allocate your payments the way you as the consumer request for your payments to be allocated. I have been trying for almost 2 months, 6 calls later to have 3 payments allocated to a non-promotional balance because its building interest. Im assured at the end of every call that my request is being processed but it never happens. They move my money and continue to disperse it to whatever transactions they please (the promotional ones that are NOT building interest even if they dont expire for another year or so). After my fourth call, I finally asked to speak with a manager. Jessica ID # 1921 came on the phone and was incredibly rude. She would not let me speak, interrupted, controlled the conversation, made many statements such as it doesnt matter and carecredit provides you only with the information that you need to know, and she hung up on me after I was on the phone with 4 other people for 2+ hours trying to figure this all out. Beware of carecredit. And Jessica ID # 1921, is an awful representation of the company. Clearly, she does not like helping customers so I am so confused as to why she has a job in customer service. As a faithful customer of carecredit for about 10 years now, I will no longer be using this company, and have told all of my friends and family as well so they know of the major risks.

Every time I go to make a payment online my username and password do not work. I do not have trouble with any other accounts I have. WHY? This is how they get late payments and finance charges billed. WORST CREDIT CARE EVER! Never can talk to a person, then when I do, they sound like a ROBOT! And hang up on me! STAY AWAY! Going to take out a personal loan to pay off this terrible credit card company

Went to use this credit card and it got declined. Checked my credit balance and there was more than sufficient credit. Called Customer service and they couldn't provide any reason for its decline. Paid off the card. Not using this any more. Save some embarrassment.

This is a COMPLICATED company of credit and they are working with people with health problems when you need help. CARECREDIT have the most unfriendly page online and didn't have a call center, you can not do the payments and they charge you all the interest they can.

VERY high in interest - paid off the card in March 2018 - less than a month they closed the card due to inactivity. Prior to paying it off I was disputing a fee and was waiting for results, i logged in and discolvered today that they just closed the account 3 days ago. The dispute no longer is there and wanted to see progress - POOF GONE. Makes me wonder, their billing cycling now generating, sees a zero balance, a dispute and they decide to close the account. Keep in mind all payments were on time, just wanted to payoff the balance due to the interest so high on the card, I planned on having the card in case of emergency for the dogs, or dentist.

Spoke with a Adam Ross, no customer service skills what so ever. Probably reading from a sheet of paper

I BET IF I HAD A BALANCE YET THE CARD WOULD STILL BE OPEN -

THIS CAN REFLECT ON YOUR CREDIT REPORT THAT THE CARD WAS CLOSED WITH NO EXPLAINATION WHY - IN THE PROCESS FOR A HOME LOAN.

PISS ME OFF - REPORTING THIS CARD TO EVERY WEBSITE POSSIBLE!

FRAUD, FRAUD, FRAUD!
April 21, 2018

I have now contacted customer support EIGHT times trying to resolve my account. I have paid more than the minimum payment to pay down the balances that were not promotional. EVERY PENNY was only going towards the promotional balances. When I first contacted them, they assured me that anything other the minimum payment due to each balance would go towards my highest interest rate. LIES. Over & over the payments were only being applied to promotional balances. I contacted them again, & asked exactly how to get my non-promotional balance paid off & exactly how much to pay. Before disconnecting the chat, I followed instructions to the letter. Next statement, they only paid off my promotional balances & I still had interest charged. I contacted them AGAIN & was assured that my account was corrected. When they "corrections" posted... still wrong. I contacted them again & they disconnected with me several times. Finally they told me it was right, but it would take a couple billing cycles to show up correctly & REFUSED to confirm that my non-promotional balances were entirely paid off or that I would not be charged interest again. Wish I could give them -100 stars!

My dog had to get surgery on his ear and I had to pay more than $1,200. I was going to pay it all off in that moment, but the veterinarians told me about this credit card since I was feeling super stressed out about spending a large amount of money in one day. It has been two months since I used it and I currently owe $400. I'm hoping to pay it off within the next month. My recommendation is to not use the card if you can't pay it off within 6 months. Since it has such a large interest rate it is not better not risk it. Find something else. However, if you have the money saved, but if you don't want to drop all of it on the same day, use the card and pay it off within 3 to 4 months. Be smart. This card honestly gave me relief and I was able to provide the care for my dog.

Open an account somewhere else, get additional credit on a credit card, get a small line of credit, do anything but don't use them. They are leeches. They will rip you off. Once the interest rate kicks in after your supposed "promotional" period, it will be sky high. Currently, it's at 26.99%. READ Everything on your statement. Figure out how much it will cost you to pay only the minimum due over the time allotted, then figure out if how much more you will have to pay over and above that amount to escape the charges due when the interest rate kicks in. Really. Go elsewhere. I am paying off the balance in full so they don't get to make a penny on me. I am also closing my TJMaxx credit card which is also through Syncrony bank.

Bad bad bad
April 3, 2018

Care credit does not look at your credit, a computer looks at your credit and decides if you get credit. WTH. It all boils down to a computer to make that decision, the people at Care Credit do not think for themselves. From the other reviews I dodged a bullet with this company... so yay!

My firts month pening this card i I made $350.00 worth of payments, instead of crediting me they added the $350.00 to may balance and fought me on all of it. I even had documentation. I am still fighting for $150.00 of it.
The customer service is horrible. You call and they are rude and impatient! I delt with a customer service rep RJ. I can 't wait to pay this card off andf cut it up. I would never ever referr them.

What a rip off!
March 29, 2018

I signed up with my dental surgeon for this credit. My dental implants cost $7800. I was under the understanding that I had 12 months to pay it off and if I made my payments on time it would be interest free. I set up auto pay and every payment was made on time. I never received any notice or indication that my "introductory 0% rate" was ending (6 months early). While downloading my statements for my 2017 financials I noticed an interest charge of $1088 in January 2018, which was 6 mos interest at 26.99%! They have charged interest in Feb and Mar at this usury rate. If I had been given a notification, I would have paid it off with cash or a lower rate credit card! They claim to not have this 1 year program and that they have been sending me my statements monthly by email and that the statement before they charged the interest had a notice on it. I said I've not received monthly statements by email and they said I should have notified them of that before the interest was charged. They said there is nothing they can do. I'll never use them again and I'm talking to my doctor to verify that I had signed up for 12 mos. Never again!

Highway Robbery!
March 29, 2018

Had perfect near perfect credit with a score of 730 upon applying for Care Credit for dental work. Two payments were made on time, and one credited one day after the due to my due date falling on a Sunday. My payment went from $145 to $259 because of one day being late with them receiving the payment. Would never recommend them to anyone... EVER!
