I kept a Care Credit card for veterinary services for several years, used it when necessary, and paid it down but kept a balance. One of our pets had cancer but was dealing well with it until one night she starting yowling (I won't get any more graphic). None of the emergency clinics were open because of Covid, but I got ahold of one of our regular vets. He checked for payment (Care Credit) and told me my account was closed. Synchrony Bank closed it when I paid it off. There are options to Care Credit; the one I'm using now is to keep a clean Visa with me at all times, because I don't ever want to drive around in the middle of the night with a dying animal again. If you are forced to use any card issued by Synchrony Bank, make sure you have a backup payment method!
I tried filling 2 different benefits but on each case they made it so difficult by asking paperwork that is hard or impossible to get, I believe and know the benefit program is a fraud, every requirement is almost impossible to get
Oh my God were do I start! This is the most Incompetent, inconsiderate, uncompromising credit company I have ever seen. CareCredit has no empathy for their new customers. I wish I had read the reviews before applying for this card. I made my April payment and a couple days later (still April), decided to go ahead and make the May payment due to my job downsizing so that I could be ahead. Well, that did not go well! I got a statement in the mail, Opened it and it states my account was past due, with late fees included! I Immediately called CareCredit! After the representative reviewed my account, She stated that I had not made a payment for May, however two payments for April! I explained to the representative that one of the payment was for May. I begged and begged and begged for the payment to be applied to the correct month, yet I was talked to any kind of way and made feel dehumanized! Trying to pay my bills ahead of time but penalized! As a new customer I was unaware of their billing cycle. I HATE this company and I pray that they go out of business! They definitely gets a zero a fat one at that! And I'm still awaiting for someone to call me back for upper management regarding this Situation! Again I hate this company!

This is Day 2 and 3.5 hours in of trying to resolve Care Credit issue. I signed on for 0 interest and used the card on 4 occasions, saving myself the interest by making sure my auto debit paid off debt before their 29.99% apr kicked in. More recently I placed $1800. Charge on the card. I had gone paperless so when I received the email alert I was alarmed, as it stated my entire balance was over $2700. I tried to call for a breakdown as I could not log in. Evidently, the vendor has to be agreeable to terms of no interest when you use the card with their medical service. I learned of this after 10 minutes of insufferable recordings pushing their services before an associate picked up ( which was unexpected)
It is beyond 24 hours and I am still locked out although they won't tell you that you are, so continue to drive yourself into a frenzy with every combination of your last password and username- Synchrony won't help. I could sign on as 'guest' which gives no information other than the total amount owed on account.
Synchrony sneaks my auto debit amount out each month without proper identification or alert, which is their technique for screwing over the customer. At this stage I want to pay off and close account.
Synchrony is the financial backbone of corporations like Lowes, etc. BTW, to pay on your Lowes card you must create 2 separate usernames and passwords to get to that particular Synchrony account. No matter what company they represent, SYNCHRONY is a total mindf**** and I will not do any business with any company associated with them.
If the execs, in their ivory towers, had to deal with the consumer instead of hiding behind employees who take the blunt of angry card members, perhaps they might count us as of some value, in addition to their profits.
Been over a month for my refund get mothing but lies lies n more lies keep get run around since may 16
We used to bank on using Care Credit for my dental, but it is no longer worth the nightmare of actually trying to redeem the rewards for, in our case, gifts card we wanted to give someone as a present. We are fortunate and can afford to pay for our dental bills but use Care Credit because the rewards came in handy for presents. I shudder to think how many families use this card to help them survive our countries corrupt for profit medical system only to be taken advantage of by this credit company. Last year I had a lot of dental work, implants to be specific and put thousands on this card, we ended up with hundreds of dollars worth or rewards so i decided to redeem them for Amazon gift cards that I give to loved ones or struggling human beings. What used to be a simple redemption process has turned into a nightmare. When I placed my initial order, I made a mistake and ordered the wrong cards which I realized immediately. I called customer service within 5 minutes thinking they could help solve this and this turned into the worst customer service experience in my entire life. Care Credit customer service treated me like a criminal for, god forbid, making a mistake on their website. They locked my reward points, created a "ticket" and said my "case" would be resolved no later than 7 days. Well, this turned into 3 long weeks during which time I was lied to, misled and treated like garbage. I am an incredibly kind person and was taken to my limit by this "customer service" team. I spoke to about 6 or 7 customer service reps and told countless tales and finally got my reward points returned once I threatened my "lawyer" husband on them. Then the nightmare continued when I tried to order e-gift cards, only $45 dollars worth out of gift cards showed up in my email. More lies by customer service ensued, then I was told a "ticket" would need to be created in order to get the remainder of e gift cards I ordered. I was told by customer service it might take 30 days to have "my case" resolved. This is when I shifted into fury and finally found the 1 Care Credit customer service rep with empathy, her name is MAY and she is wayyy to good and kind for that company. Somehow she managed to make sure I got all my e-gift cards by the next morning.
I am so sorry for consumers who get stuck in Care Credit nightmare of customer service.
CareCredit what they don't tell you if you do not pay all the money doing your promotion, that where they rip you off, they charge you such a high interest
It ridiculous, so whatever you do not go with CareCredit they don't care about you it all about rip you off and their nothing you can do!
Made EVERY SINGLE payment on time AND paid off my card. They closed it with no warning due to my credit report getting BETTER... and they claimed it's because if what was on the report, which is close to what was on it when I opened the account with a lower credit score. Way to take away someone's ability to pay for medical bills and vet bills Care Credit. You absolutely DO NOT CARE!
Don't waste your time with this card they will lower your credit line drastically if you don't use it even if you have used it and paid them off not caring about the drop in your credit line as a result
I had this card for about 11 years until today. I assume I never had a late payment otherwise I would've realized how they go about charging you interest on a late payment and don't ever inform you that payments made dont pay it off and instead you will incur interest on it. I recently realized a difference between my promotional balance and my current balance and upon calling for the second time a representative was able to tell me that the difference was due to a late fee that I had incurred in 2020 and that I was being charged interest on that late fee all along. Now that I am due to pay off my promotional balance I have a remaining balance of 73 which includes the $29 late fee and the rest is in interest. You would think that for being late one time in the 2years that they would work with you and remove the fees charged. Instead, an "account specialist", also considered to be a manager, by the name of Shannon stated that there was nothing that could be done at all. She instead allowed me, an 11 year Customer, to close the account. I find this to be absolutely outrageous.
This company is a total scam and I would avoid it at best, after my promotional % charges were completed they ballooned my Interest charges to a one-time of $759, after I get my Home Loan I am gonna pay off this card and close this acct forever, this card should be called "WeDontCare". The one star is too generous for this review. Buyer's beware and to show proof I attached a screenshot of those interest charges.
Open up any other credit card. Not this one, unless you want to be forever in debt! My son needed a root canal, I opened this card and charged $1350. 00 on it for dental services. I didn't pay it off in 6 months so they hit me with interest fee of $172.00 Now when I make a payment of $50 every month, on time, $25. Goes to balance and $25. Goes to interest. Dont do it! It's not worth it!
Interest charges are all over the place even if you pay on time as you pay your balance down they increase the interest charges: this company should be shut down. How they conduct business seems like it should be illegal. They make it impossible to pay off even when you make your payments on time. Interest charges ended up being over 70% of the payments. Do not use this company. I 100% regret signing on with them. I wished I researched them better before I signed. Their customer service just forwards you to a line that no one picks up.
The worst card ever. Great difficulty reaching a customer service rep and there is no longer a Care Credit website. I'm closing my card out ASAP.
Unable to access account, unable to make payment and employees and auto does not assist. Once I manage to pay, I will end business and hope to never do business with them ever again
My bank sent a check to pay off my account. It was cashed on January 27. Every month I have to dispute my balance because they "can't find my payment". I'm out over $3600 plus whatever interest they keep tacking on. I'm trying to buy a house and this is messing up my credit.
They don't automatically allocate payment toward you promotional balances, you will end up paying way to much for this card. You have to call them every time you make a payment to tell them which bill you want it to be applied. They will leave you on hold for hours waiting for a. " manager or supervisor " no morals at this place!
When I successfully applied for Care Credit 2 years ago, it was a smooth process. However, due to the pandemic I did not use their services at the time, and the card has meanwhile expired.
I reapplied this morning, confident that the process would be just as easy. WRONG!
AFTER submitting all requested info, I learned that without a cell phone, it's an uphill battle: the last part of the application cannot be completed per computer or laptop, but per tablet or cell phone.
If you are a senior without either one, the process becomes more complicated. None of the alternative options offered are without difficulties for home-bound elders who deal with serious health issues: 1. They will email you the last part of the application which, after completion, cannot be email; it needs to be returned via FAX. If you don't have a FAX machine, it was suggested, you can have your healthcare provider fax it for you. 2. they can also mail it to you...
At that point I had enough! I bid the lady a fair day and goodbye. While courtesy was no problem, their elder-discriminating rules (many of us are not tech savvy or physically able to leave the house) it is a shock to be confronted with these limitations, which are more hurdles barring seniors and poor, and some disabled to fit into society's mainstream.
My biggest mistake was to trust my previous experience and not to have reviewed Care Credit's present record.
I've been a Carecredit customer for YEARS now and I have never had a complaint until today. I called in to speak about a dispute that I had open and since I had closed my previous card, I couldn't see any of my past transactions, so I called in. I spoke to a person who calls herself an "account manager" by the name of Shannon and she was completely unprofessional. I have never spoken to a customer service representative that sounded like they hated their job and calling in with questions was such an inconvenience to her. As a CS representative you should understand that people are going to call in with questions and might even been a little frustrated, but we only respond by how we are treated. She refused to clarify anything to me as I'm trying to explain to her what I have on my end. Instead repeating the same thing over and over with attitude not even letting me explain things on my end but got upset with me when I started getting upset. I requested to be transferred to someone else and the other representative was lovely. She was able to help me and even offered to send out paper statements so I could get a better look at my account. Sadly, I forgot to get her name. Needless to say, CareCredit needs to be careful who they name "account managers" because that experience was completely unacceptable. They are the face of the company are this is not a good look. I will NOT be recommending this company to anyone if that is how we are going to be treated!
I had a dental procedure done that I charged a portion to my care credit card. I saved up the money to pay them off and sent them a check for the whole balance. They cashed the check then claimed they never received it. Now im missing over $600 from my account that seems to just disappeared.
