So far our experience of finding a full-time nanny has been pretty good. However, a few months ago I was looking for a night nanny/doula, and your search parameters, in particular around availability, were not helpful.
Care.com has a completely predatory billing system. I signed up with them and unwittingly paid for 12 months of services I did not use. Companies with similar subscription models often will rebate unused time, when they can see a profile is not used or an ad is not placed. Instead I got a totally uncaring email from care.com saying we say we are a subscription too bad so sad. You simply don't care, and your customer service response is disappointing. $600 down the drain.
Would be nice to know the listed providers had a background check/vetted previously and that attached to their profile.
Too early in the process to give you 5 stars, but I like what I see so far.

It didn't take my Apple Pay & I feel deceived that the price has an additional charge fir background checks when it's advertised under the original price.

I signed up several years ago to be a caregiver, then when I wanted to hire a caregiver I could not do both using the same email address. Frustrating that I had to make create another email address just to be able to use other services such as hiring a caregiver instead of being a caregiver. Without paying for a Premium subscription, I could not even contact you. Actually, I did send several emails, but they were not responded to. Otherwise, my experience with Care.com has been good.

This app compares to others provides useful references and tools that are easily accessible. Unfortunately, everything is at add cost al-carte
Easy to use. But you did not offer the choice of seeking help for an adult child. That resulted in the caregivers all being interested in working with seniors. My son is 34 years old.

Love the searches. Wish background checks weren't behind a paywall, and were not an additional expense on top of Premium subscription.
It is OK but a little confusing. A quick tutorial of the basics would be helpful (like, "here's how to post a job & hire someone" or "here's how payment works", etc.).
I also couldn't log into my account today, but clearing my browser cache fixed it. I haven't had this happen on any website for years, so I'm a little surprised. A point about on the FAQ or on the login page about this would be helpful.
Simple enough, except for all the ways they try to get more money out of you with the add-on's.
Hi Sharon, We are a paid subscription service and not a free service. I'm sorry if you thought otherwise and therefore felt mislead. That was never our intention. Many sites like ours charge a fee in order to be able to offer you the features our site offers. Otherwise we'd just be like any other free classified site with very little to offer.

I like the site, but you are not sure what you are getting until after you pay for it. I think your caregivers may provide just what we need soon (transportation and care on short trips around the area) and long term maybe more care giving services. I need to search more on how to contact these folks with basic or do I have to upgrade to premium... not real clear.

It would be nice when creating a job that you have the choice (check box option) to post it across different section, instead of posting multiple jobs (e.g. Three jobs in my case). Just a thought. Have a great day!

Posting and searching caregivers seems pretty straight forward. Don't like that it's hard to find how pricing works and what all packages/points entail before you even pay for them.

Should be an initial option for disability care bc I'm neither a child nor a senior. Thankfully, the user-friendliness of the site got me past that discouragement when I found later it included younger age groups.

I didn't realize everything would cost so much. Help really is expensive nowadays. Why should we have to pay for help finding care? And then the add-ons should come with the subscription. It already costs an arm and a leg.
