Lol, never encountered such companies which offer solution for anything you need. Wanna shop for a car? You are welcome, it's easy to do here. Wanna issue a credit card or open savings account? Not a biggie, there is everything for it here too. Super versatile platform, I wanted to open a checking account and Capitalone has helped me in this issue. So I am thankful to them for being such a robust platform, it was surprising to find it, for real.
Capital One took over my previous credit card I obtained from a wholesale club. My APR with them prior was 12%. When Capital One took over, it raised me to 20.4%! Asked for reduction based on excellent payment history. I was told they don't do that, a 3rd party does! What? Makes zero sense. Aid they use credit bureaus and that APR could go up again without notice. The highest APR is 30%! You have to check your statement to see if you're APR changes. Can't wait to pay it off, these people are criminal.
I had to file a dispute with a minor account that I had as a minor. A company had stated they issued a refund for a return that I had did but never received the refund and I later found out the refund was issued to someone who was not me(A different bank account I had not owned). The rep then advised me to dispute the transaction since the business refused to settle the issue. So I did as instructed. The dispute was then never handled because the business had provided receipts showing proof of refund but Capital One did not investigate the difference in account numbers that the business had provided and Capital One sided with the business. Capital had also allowed the business to charge my account multiple times without my permission even when I had asked for new cards so the company was allowed to charge the new cards without ever being provided the new cards and I had instructed Capital One that they did not have permission to charge the cards again.
I like the fact that i can link two accounts to my credit cards to make payments with. My Capital One cards both have a low limit but they redeem themselves by letting me pay as i go 2 or 3 times a month. Whats weird is sometimes a purchase will post yes⁸9⁹terday and be due today with tomorrow being late. I know its my fault but why is it i purchase something which posted yesterday with payment being due today and it being late tomorrow?
I was trying to open a checking account to help allow myself to get a proper job. On the website itself I was told that there were errors and they needed more information, so it gave me the number for the call center. I called, and was assigned to a very polite and professional lady who helped me apply to open an account, but she too ran into an error and sent me to talk to a specialist. The specialist was slightly less helpful and was difficult to understand, but applied to open an account with me, only to be met with the same error stating that my account was unable to be located and could not be opened at this time. I was transferred to yet another specialist who informed me, somewhat rudely, that I would have to wait for an email to know why I was rejected. Overall, the two women were very polite and professional at the start of the 35 minute call, but by the end I was dissatisfied and somewhat annoyed by their lack of ability to understand the issue.

All other banks that I know that pay two days early, meant business days. So I get paid by my employer on Tuesday, but capital one pays me on Sunday. The bank I came from pays on Friday and my coworkers banks pay on Friday. So Capital one's idea of paying two days early isn't the same unfortunately and would be nice to get paid before the weekend starts. I will change banks soon for that reason that actually pay two business days early and not 2 calendar days early.
I actually mostly like Capital One except for the fact that any time you make a payment of more than a couple hundred dollars they put an eight-day hold on your credit. The money will be gone from your bank account so you're in limbo and just screwed.
Had to call back to get the issue corrected and the person helping me was so much better. If you have issues the first time, call back and speak to someone else, they probably know what they're doing.

Capital One has one of the most horrible verification programs. To activate a card you have to take a picture of your driver's license and then the system has to approve that. If your card is not flawless and your phone is not a brand new phone. The system says it cannot see it. And this is done while a representative is on the line waiting. I tried 5 times to take a perfect picture. Now, if that doesn't work they'll send you an email. This way you can send them the same information (pictures of your ID) for a real person to look over. Bad thing about this is, it takes anywhere from 7 to 10 days for them to verify a picture through email! What happened giving them the license number? I waited for over a week for the physical card to come in the snail mail. Now I have to wait another week for verifications? I understand that security is very important in this day and time. But you would think a bank with this level of reputation would have a system put in place that can actually work. I'm very, very frustrated at this point. Other than that, I'm pleased.
They issue me a credit card and then put 5 day holds on my payments which effectively renders the card useless half the time because I can't charge anything even though I have a zero balance! And I can't get anyone on the phone to fix the situation. I'm going to switch to a new financial institution in the very near future that's run more professionally.
I was reading the reviews. They are either 5-star or 1-star... what's going on here. They seem to be running a good business. Can anyone help us here? A balanced review can help many.
